Chapter 333 is no different

He Jing was shocked.

Her pupils trembled slightly, and her heart felt as if a string had been plucked hard.

She turned around and called out, her voice slightly choked with emotion, "Third Brother."

He Zhou chuckled again, unusually without any sarcasm, and said, "Pathetic, crying already."

He Jing shook his head. He didn't know that she had many things in her life: a privileged family background, a beautiful appearance, an excellent education, and wealth and status. But no one had ever prepared a gift for her so thoughtfully or solemnly said "Happy Birthday" to her.

Every year on her birthday, she would soak in a hot spring, swirl her wine glass to wish herself well, and say to herself, "He Jing, you will be even better next year," but there was no response, so she could only drink the wine in one gulp.

No one could understand what she was feeling. She sniffed, took a step forward, and pressed her forehead against He Zhou's chest, calling out, "Third Brother."

He Zhou lowered his head, his gloomy expression turning into a clear sky, and gently placed his hand on the back of her head.

He said in a low voice, "You're so touched just because I'm a little nicer to you. What would happen if I were even a little nicer to you?"

He Jing buried herself in his arms, her voice muffled: "I don't mind if Third Brother treats me even better."

He Zhou chuckled: "You wish! Xiao Yi is the most important person in my heart."

He Jing replied in a calm and even tone, "Oh—"

He Jingcai doesn't care who is more important in He Zhou's heart; she feels she has already received enough.

Hearing He Jing's reaction, He Zhou felt uneasy again. He frowned, pushed He Jing out of his arms, and said, "Let's try it."

So He Jing gave it a try.

Since she hadn't taken her measurements, the dress didn't quite fit He Zhou's expectations, but He Jing was very satisfied. She lifted the hem of the dress, twirled in front of He Zhou, and asked with a smile, "Does it look good?"

He Zhou: "...It looks good."

He Jing smiled brightly at him: "Thank you, Third Brother."

He Zhou was almost blinded by He Jing's smile.

Yes, so what if it's flawed? He Jing likes it.

He doesn't need to be a perfectionist in everything he does.

As long as He Jing likes it, that's fine.

This dress looks so good on her. Even though it's a bit loose at the waist, she still looks so slender and slim. And even though the stitching of the flowers on the shoulders isn't very tight, it still perfectly accentuates her shoulder and neck lines.

She was a flower fairy who accidentally wandered into the mortal world; she was extremely beautiful.

He Zhou slowly said, "Xiao Yi invited us to the ball, but we all decided not to go."

He Jing stopped and looked up, surprised: "Why?"

If Cheng Yi has extra invitations for them, they can certainly go!

“We can’t go there and embarrass you,” He Zhou said seriously. “We’ve never been to such places before, we can’t dance, and we don’t know anything about music, but you’re different from us.”

"He Jing, you are a daughter."

Even without her status as a wealthy heiress, she still shines brightly.

She's not a rich girl, but she's better than a rich girl—that's the perfect description of her.

They all felt that such a place was her stage, and they couldn't become a hindrance to her. If they actually went there, people would definitely gossip about her.

He Jing was taken aback. She had never thought about these questions, nor did she feel that she was any different from them. If there had to be any difference, it would only be one thing—she was a time traveler.

"Third Brother, I am He Jing, we are no different."
