The older woman chuckled upon hearing this. To her, He Jing didn't look like a child from a wealthy family at all. Her unbranded schoolbag and leather shoes, along with her cheap pearl hair clips, clearly showed her poverty. She picked up her own genuine leather bag, showing off the huge brand logo, and said, "Oh ho, so young but so arrogant. Go ahead and sue me if you want, let's see who wins."
He Jing sneered: "You think you can look down on everyone just because you have money?"
If necessary, she could skip a grade, take the bar exam, and personally appear in court to defend herself.
The older woman said sarcastically, "Money can buy you anything. I bet you can't even afford a lawyer, you poor wretch."
"Oh?" Before He Jing could speak, a beautiful voice, like that of a cello, suddenly rang out from not far away, "Then please have this lady settle the occupancy fee first."
The sound, like a thunderclap, came from the sky and attracted everyone's attention.
The crowd was so dense that they couldn't see the source of the sound, but they spontaneously made way for it and all looked in that direction. There, a gleaming luxury car with a golden figure standing on it was parked by the roadside, and a long leg was sticking out of the car.
The young man's exquisite and handsome face, resembling that of an ancient Greek prince, caught everyone's attention. He wore a carefree smile and was surrounded by two bodyguards, looking like a god.
He was still wearing his school uniform, which was exactly the same as He Jing's. Although the color scheme was very ordinary, it looked like a haute couture runway piece on him.
The middle-aged woman stared blankly at Yan Hanxi, momentarily stunned. Only when Yan Hanxi walked to He Jing's side did she snap out of her daze and say, "What land fee? And where did you come from?"
Yan Hanxi pointed to the ground beneath his feet and said casually, "My family built this road."
He Jing: "..."
Wow, I'm blown away by his handsomeness.
The woman shrieked, "You say you fixed it, so you did? Show me the proof!"
Yan Hanxi snapped his fingers, tilted his head, and the bodyguard behind him went back to the car to get a file bag, pulled out an A4 sheet of paper, and held it up to the old lady: "Road title certificate."
Instantly, the woman's expression changed. She looked at Yan Hanxi with fear in her eyes and her face turned pale. Yan Hanxi ignored her and turned to He Jing, saying, "You ran so fast, I chased you all the way in my car."
He Jing asked, puzzled, "Why are you pursuing me?"
Yan Han chuckled: "Why would I pursue you? Of course, I'd pursue you whenever I want."
As soon as he finished speaking, a cold voice came from the side to remind him: "He Jing!"
Yan Hanxi immediately turned around and said, "Hello, Third Brother."
He Zhou's expression was gloomy, and he seemed to have no intention of paying attention to the person at all, but he still responded with a "hmm".
They barely refrained from being sarcastic, only because Yan Hanxi had stepped in to help them.
Then, he said to He Jing, "Let's go."
The tone was commanding.
He Jing picked up He Xiaoguo and said to Yan Hanxi, "Let's go."
Yan Hanxi gave her an eraser, which He Jing had accidentally left behind while packing her stationery after school.
After watching the drama unfold, the parents took their children and left. Fatty's mother also calmed Fatty down and learned the whole story from others. She didn't blame He Jing.
Just because someone is good-looking doesn't mean they can't pick up their child. What kind of logic is that?
Just as the middle-aged woman was about to slip away with her son, Yan Hanxi's lazy voice rang out behind her: "Madam, don't forget the land fee. I'll sue you until you're bankrupt if you're short even a penny. After all, money can buy you anything, right?"
