He Ning was retaliating against her and He Sui for leaving him behind after school. He planned to leave them behind and go to school by himself in the morning as well, and even lied to her that he had eaten breakfast.

He Jing's lips twitched slightly as she thought silently.
He Ning pursed his thin lips, looking rather irritable. He probably hadn't expected He Jing to actually go to the kitchen to take a look. Caught red-handed lying, his eyes revealed a stubbornness.
Suddenly, He Jing said with a mysterious smile, "Second Brother, let's go before Fourth Brother wakes up. We're tired of making breakfast at home. Let's go get some beef noodles."

He Ning's brows relaxed instantly, and his eyes gradually brightened.
The two caught the early morning bus, which was empty as commuters had not yet left for work.
Unlike usual, where they could only stand by the handrail, He Jing and He Ning sat side by side. He Jing rested her chin on her hand, admiring the scenery outside. He Ning quietly looked at He Jing's profile, then asked casually, "Aren't we going too far? Fourth Brother is definitely going to cause trouble tonight."
He Jing chuckled softly, turned her head, and smiled brightly like the rising sun in the morning: "But isn't Second Brother very happy now?"
He Ning froze, then turned his head away instantly, not letting He Jing see his expression: "How did you get the idea that I'm happy?"
He Jing pinched He Ning's earlobe, which had turned red, and said, "Second brother, your nose will grow longer if you lie."

"Mmm." He Ning answered with his eyes lowered. Although it was only one morning, it was enough for him to savor for a long time.
When the bus stopped at the stop between the two schools, He Jing and He Ning got off together and went into a ramen restaurant. It was almost 7:30, and the restaurant was already quite crowded.
He Jing ordered two large bowls of beef ramen with scallions, cilantro, chili, and a braised egg. It was the first time He Ning had ever eaten ramen with such generous toppings, and he couldn't help but feel a little excited.
Just then, a voice rang out from behind: "He Ning."
It was a classmate from No. 1 Middle School who recognized him.
He Jing turned around and saw that the man was tall and strong, wearing a sleeveless T-shirt that revealed the muscles on his arms, making him look exceptionally solid.
He Jing asked quietly, "Second brother, is this your classmate?"
He Ning replied casually, "I'm on the basketball team, but in a different class."
The boy sat down opposite He Ning with a very warm smile. He was about to speak to He Ning when he glanced at He Jing and suddenly forgot what he was going to say.
Then, he put on a very natural expression, as if he didn't care about the beautiful woman, and said to He Ning, "How could you bear to eat out today?"
The noodles were served. He Ning took some disposable chopsticks, broke them in half, and said, "This is for my sister."
