He Jing said, "Fourth Brother, there's some in the pot, go get it."
He Sui immediately ran happily into the kitchen. He held a boiled egg that was still hot after being rinsed with cold water. He grimaced from the burn, peeled the egg with shaky hands, and stuffed it into his mouth.
He swallowed an egg in one gulp, stuffing both his cheeks full.
He watched curiously as He Jing rolled an egg on He Ning's face, and his eyes widened: "What are you doing?"
He Jing replied, "My second brother is injured, I'll help him reduce the swelling."
Upon hearing this, He Sui noticed several bruises and red marks on He Ning's handsome face. He frowned and said unhappily, "Which bastard did this? I'll go beat him up."
He Jing ignored her and focused on rolling the egg all over the places where He Ning had been hit, then replaced it with another egg.
He Sui then looked at He Ning: "How can you be so useless? You're so big and you still got beaten up. Are you from No. 1 Middle School? How many of you are there? I'll call Lao Wu and Lao Liu."
In terms of brothers, the other side could never have as many as them.
He Ning couldn't move his head, but he lifted his eyelids to glance at him and said indifferently, "You got hit by a basketball by accident, so don't cause any trouble."
He Sui was taken aback.
Three seconds later—
"Hahahaha, why didn't it hit you? It hit your face! You didn't hurt yourself on purpose so He Jing would care about you, did you?"
He Ning: "..."
He Sui moved a small stool over to He Jing's side and said, "He Jing, get out of here."
He Jing chuckled and said, "Why would I tell you to get lost? You're not hurt."
"I want to get out, I want to get out, I want to get out!" He Sui glanced at He Ning with envy, jealousy and hatred. "Why can he get out but I can't? I see there are still a few eggs in the pot. You can get them all out of here. I'm not eating them."
He Jing choked. Why didn't she think of this when she was boiling the eggs?
I should have known better than to cook so much; it's such a waste to boil it!
He Sui immediately started to whine and roll around, pleading, "He Jing, He Jing, He Jing, He Jing, He Jing..."
He Jing had a headache.
He Ning said coolly, "It wasn't originally cooked for just you. If you don't eat it, I will. When Lao San and Xiao Guo come back later, they will all want to eat it."
He thought he should switch generations with He Xiaoguo, since He Xiaoguo was more mature than him.
However, He Sui ignored He Ning's words and just clung to He Jing's chair, as if she wouldn't let her get up unless she agreed. He Jing couldn't resist her entanglement and said repeatedly, "Okay, okay, let me finish getting out of here for my second brother."
He Sui was immediately delighted and ran to the kitchen to scoop all the eggs out of the pot, put them in a bowl, peeled them all, and presented them to He Jing.
He Jing rolled the egg on He Ning's head once, and seeing that the redness and swelling had subsided, she applied some medicine to it. After carefully finishing, she turned around and looked at the egg in He Sui's hand. Her lips twitched, and she resignedly started rolling the egg on He Sui's head.
She sat on a high chair, while He Sui sat on a low stool. She didn't even have to bend over; He Sui simply brought his face close to hers, his eyes closed, a bright smile on his face, revealing a row of big white teeth.
He Jing rolled the egg around and around for a while, then noticed it had turned black. She asked, "Fourth Brother, did you wash your face when you came back?"
He Sui answered happily and proudly, "No."
He Jing was both amused and exasperated, and cursed, "Dirty brat."
He Sui muttered, "Boys just sweat more easily, so you can't blame me."
There was harmony between the two.
