Chapter 418 Hardship

The four of them talked as they walked and quickly became acquainted.

The two young men had no doubt about He Jing's identity, because He Yuan would often carry a handful of candy in his pocket, and whenever asked, a smile would always appear on his meticulous face: "My sister gave it to me."

I never expected that she would be such a beautiful sister.

He Yuan's laboratory was at the last door at the end of the corridor, a five-minute walk away. He Jing learned from them that the experiment was initiated by the school, with a tutor leading He Yuan and several physics students. However, due to difficulties in progress, the tutor left halfway through, and He Yuan became the unlucky one to take the blame.

Originally, the school would occasionally allocate some funds for He Yuan and his group to continue their research. However, after the Q2 experimental group made some progress, all the funds were diverted by higher authorities and flowed to the Q2 group. As a result, the already difficult situation became even worse, and He Yuan had to work two jobs and subsidize the experiment with his own money.

It can be said that at this stage of the experiment, it has become completely unrelated to the school.

He Yuan usually ate the cheapest white rice with free seaweed and radish soup at the school cafeteria, and he ate like that for two years. When she thought about how he would occasionally send some money home to help support his family, He Jing's eyes turned red without her realizing it.

The tall young man said indignantly, "If it weren't for that bastard Liu Ping, our experimental group wouldn't have ended up like this..."

He Jing sniffed, subtly composed herself, and pressed, "Who is Liu Ping?"

"he……"

Before he could finish speaking, they had already arrived at the laboratory.

He Yuan's tired but clear voice came from the half-open door: "Chen Le, Lin Chun, hurry up, the calculation results will be out soon..."

Upon hearing this, the two of them stopped chatting with He Jing and quickly carried the experimental table into the laboratory, where they all gathered around the computer.

He Jing and He Yi also went inside, their footsteps light, not wanting to disturb them.

On the computer screen, many numbers were jumping rapidly, and a lot of incomprehensible formulas were constantly appearing. Lines of English were being output. Just when I thought the progress bar at the bottom would reach 100% and some result would appear, the computer screen suddenly went black.

He Yuan hurriedly tried to salvage the situation, as if he had done it a thousand times before. He shut down and restarted the computer, pulled out the chip, and then breathed a sigh of relief. Looking at the chip in his hand, he said, "Luckily, it wasn't burned out. I just bought it; it can still be used a few more times..."

Chen Le and Lin Chun were both quite frightened, but after realizing that there was no real danger, they wiped the cold sweat from their foreheads.

A burnt-out chip is the least of your worries; if the data is lost, all those days of hard work will be wasted...

Suddenly remembering He Jing, the tall young man Chen Le quickly said, "Senior, your sister has come to see you."

He Yuan was taken aback. He turned around and saw He Jing holding a jar of candy and standing behind him with He Yi.

Seeing He Yuan look over, He Jing smiled sweetly: "Big brother."

He Yuan strode up to He Jing, his face full of tenderness, and his voice unconsciously softened: "Why are you here?"

He Jing raised her head and said, "I've come to see my older brother!"

He Yuan felt a warmth in his heart and turned to look at He Yi. He Yi opened his mouth and said in a muffled voice, "I came with her."

He Yuan smiled, then looked at He Jing and asked, "How have you been lately? How's everything at home? I'm just finished here, I'll take you out for dinner."
