Yin Gao is a place that values fairness and merit. Even though Yan Hanxi skipped classes every few days and was rarely seen, he still served as the class's academic representative for two years, receiving the same treatment as the top student in other classes.
Today, the position of class monitor has finally been lost.
He Jing was called on and stood up: "Thank you, teacher."
The homeroom teacher genuinely liked her and said gently, "Then you'll be in charge of collecting the class's homework from now on."
He Jing said again, "Yes."
The homeroom teacher nodded and let her sit down. As soon as He Jing sat down, Yan Hanxi nudged her arm, teasing her: "Good student, I never do my homework. Do you want to supervise me?"
He Jing moved her hand away and said coldly, "If you don't hand it in, you'll get a demerit."
Yan Hanxi raised an eyebrow: "So heartless?"
Each class's academic representative at Yin Gao High School has a duty roster that records students' various violations on campus. Students who lose a lot of points have to make a public apology at a school assembly and will also be publicly criticized by the school.
Yan Hanxi used to be the class monitor, and he could skip classes every day without anyone interfering. He wouldn't be stupid enough to write down his own name.
The duty roster had been sitting in the homeroom teacher's drawer for ages, gathering dust. Now it was finally going to see the light of day again. Sure enough, as soon as get out of class ended, the homeroom teacher asked He Jing to come to her to get the duty roster. It had a yellow cover and a pen tucked inside.
When He Jing returned with her duty roster, she was met with a wave of extremely envious glances. It was easy to guess what they were thinking: if they had that book, they would make things difficult for anyone who offended her. However, He Jing was not that naive.
Yan Hanxi stared at the notebook in her arms, his gaze moving upwards until it landed on He Jing's delicate and beautiful face. His Adam's apple bobbed, and he asked with a smile, "Will kissing result in a demerit?"
He Jing glanced at him indifferently: "Do whatever you want outside of school. If you're on campus, report it to the academic affairs office and let the teacher handle it."
Yinxiao High School has strict rules and takes a very strict approach to early romantic relationships, which is the intention of the school board and parents.
The students come from good backgrounds, so there must be more constraints. Given their circumstances, if they really like each other and their feelings don't change after the college entrance exam, there's no issue of them being separated by vast distances. They can easily get into the same university by spending a little money.
Yan Hanxi was speechless for a moment, then laughed: "Alright, alright, I'll remember that."
They remembered it and still dared to do it.
Anyway, he's not afraid of criticism.
Until school ended, no one in the class did anything out of line. He Jing filled in the date on the first page of the duty book, marked the main content with an "X", and then put it in her schoolbag.
Yan Hanxi answered a phone call, said "I'll be right there" after a few "uh-huhs" sounds, then turned around and said to her, "I'm sorry, I can't take you home today."
He Jing had no intention of letting him drive her, but judging from the tone of his voice on the phone earlier, she sensed something was wrong and frowned, asking, "What are you going to do?"
Yan Hanxi paused for a moment, then his smile deepened. He looked at her intently and said, half-seriously and half-jokingly, "Let's go fight. Are you coming?"
He Jing immediately became expressionless: "Yan Hanxi, even fighting outside of school will result in a demerit."
As soon as he finished speaking, the boy in front of him chuckled softly.
He Jing looked up and met his teasing gaze. She immediately realized she had been tricked, and, feeling embarrassed and angry, glared at him.
Yan Hanxi reached out to touch her head, but she dodged it. Then he gently flicked her nose and said in a low voice, "It's just a small matter."
