He Yi listened to their bickering and only tightened his lips further.
Even He Sui couldn't appease He Jing, so perhaps I could think of a way to do something for her...
But can I really do it?
Can he make He Jing happy?
Finally, He Ning returned, just before her parents picked up He Xiaoguo from school.
He seemed inexplicably restless today, and was absent-minded during training. I think it might be because he hasn't spent enough time with He Jing lately, which is why he's like this.
As soon as he entered, four pairs of eyes turned to him, their gazes either filled with schadenfreude or concealing ulterior motives. He Yi appeared dejected, and He Sui looked at him as if he were a scumbag.
He Sui wasn't stupid. He didn't realize what was going on at first, but after he calmed down, he saw He Chen stopping everyone he met from going in to look for He Jing. He understood that the problem lay with the person who hadn't returned, namely He Ning.
He was so angry he could grind his teeth. He thought to himself that he wouldn't even dare to bully such a good sister, so why was He Ning bullying her? He wouldn't rest until he got an explanation for what happened today!
He Ning: "..."
He Zhou scoffed, "Tsk, back so early today? Why didn't you practice a little longer with the team?"
He Ning was already used to his sarcastic tone, and frowned as she said, "The training volume is too high, take a break."
He Chen smiled and said, "Second brother, you've worked hard. Come and have some melon seeds."
He Ning walked over and asked, "Where's He Jing? Hasn't she come back?"
At this point, He Sui couldn't hold back any longer and muttered, "He Ning, what did you do to He Jing? She's hiding in her room crying right now."
He Ning froze instantly, his handsome eyebrows furrowing deeply. With a stern face, he asked coldly, "What's going on?"
"You ask me what happened? I want to ask you what happened. Tell me, what did you do to him?" He Sui clenched his fist. "If you don't explain yourself, don't blame me for turning my back on you."
He Ning immediately looked at the door to He Jing's room. The door was tightly closed, isolating the world inside and outside. The more he couldn't see, the more uneasy he felt. Thinking of He Jing crying inside, he no longer cared about He Sui and walked past him.
He Sui reached out to stop him, angrily saying, "You're not allowed to go."
He Ning gave him a casual push, which sent him staggering back several steps and spinning around.
He Sui looked at his own body in shock, then at the muscles on He Ning's arm... Hey, this pretty boy!
He Ning directly opened He Jing's door.
He Sui then realized that He Jing's door was unlocked, so why was he knocking earlier?
He Ning slammed the door shut, and He Yi silently carried the painting back to his room.
The person who could comfort He Jing has already arrived; he is no longer needed here.
He Sui scratched his head in frustration and said, "I'll go too."
He Zhou sneered: "What are you going there for? To watch He Jing cry while holding the second child, and you're going to clap and cheer her on?"
He Chen had already shelled a whole plate of melon seeds and stopped. "Fourth Brother, why don't you come and sit for a while, until Second Brother has finished comforting Sister He Jing?"
He Sui felt superfluous, puffed out his cheeks and went back to his room in a huff. Before leaving, he grabbed a handful of melon seeds from He Chen's plate.
He Chen had no choice but to continue peeling, and then brought the plate to He Zhou, asking, "Third Brother, would you like some?"
"I won't eat."
He thought he didn't know who it was for?
Thinking about what had happened in the room, He Zhou was extremely annoyed. With a dark face, he pressed the remote to turn off the TV, stood up from the sofa, and said, "I'll go cook."
He Chen smiled faintly: "If Third Brother is unhappy, you can go to Fifth Brother's room for a while, it will make you feel better."
