"..."
He Jing abruptly pulled her hand back and glared at him fiercely.
He who doesn't listen to the elders will suffer the consequences; it's as if no one cares about him.
A student from No. 1 Middle School said sourly, "It's just throwing darts, why are you two acting like a couple? If you win, our school will back down and won't bother that girl who called the police to arrest our leader anymore; if you lose, Yan Hanxi will come to our school and apologize to all the students of No. 1 Middle School during the flag-raising ceremony on Monday."
"If we can't do it, we'll expose this whole thing, and none of us will get away with it."
He Jing immediately grasped the key point.
So Yan Hanxi stood up for her?
Tch, who asked him to do that?
While He Jing was thinking to herself, she couldn't help but look at Yan Hanxi. She saw Yan Hanxi standing outside the line, holding a yellow dart, and posing as if he was about to throw it.
However, he suddenly turned around and glanced at her.
He Jing's eyes met his, and she quickly looked away, glancing down at her high heels.
With a "snap," the dart pierced the dartboard.
He Jing couldn't help but look up, and saw the yellow dart hit the bullseye perfectly, very conspicuously. She couldn't help but smile, her heart filled with joy.
Yan Hanxi suddenly turned around and caught her smile. He Jing's cheeks flushed, and she quickly put down her smile and returned to normal.
Yan Hanxi said cheerfully, "Laugh if you're happy, no need to hold it in. I won't turn around."
Pooh!
He Jing silently cursed in disdain.
But her eyebrows still lifted, unable to hide her joy. Then, as expected, Yan Hanxi didn't turn back and seriously threw all the darts, hitting the bullseye every time.
A middle school student watched with a mixture of admiration and resentment, and finally said unwillingly, "Let's go again."
Yan Hanxi was no longer in the mood for playing. He had something more fun to do now. He shrugged, looking uninterested, and walked towards He Jing on his own.
He Jing laughed: "If he's not coming, how about I play with you guys?"
A middle school student looked He Jing up and down suspiciously: "You can?"
He Jing certainly could; throwing darts was one of her specialties, but she humbly replied, "I can do it a little."
Unexpectedly, the students from No. 1 Middle School refused without even thinking: "No, we're not going with you; Yan Hanxi, let's have another match!"
Yan Hanxi looked at He Jing, whose face was already expressionless: "The girl who called the police to arrest your boss is me."
The room erupted in chaos as the high school students began to stir. Yan Hanxi curled his thin lips in a playful smile.
He Jing said calmly, "Are we still playing now?"
How can I not play this?!
"Play!"
He Jing said, "That's good. The bet Yan Hanxi made with you earlier doesn't count. I'll make a bet with you myself."
A middle school student was bewildered: "Why?"
Didn't we all win?
He Jing twisted her wrist, glanced at Yan Hanxi, and said, "I don't like owing others."
Yan Hanxi's smile vanished.
Then, he revealed an expression that was almost helpless. Girls nowadays are really not cute; they are too strong-willed.
But He Jing obviously didn't care about him. She picked out a few pink darts from the plate and said, "I'll use these."
“Pink? Okay.” The brown-spotted man who wanted to compete with He Jing took out a few green ones. “I won’t let you off easy just because you’re a girl. Don’t cry if you lose.”
He Jing hummed in agreement and asked, "Would you like to go first, or should I?"
The man with brown spots adopted a gentlemanly attitude, gesturing "please" and saying, "Ladies first."
He Jing nodded, stood outside the line, and threw several pink darts one after another.
Except for the first one, which was slightly off-center, all the others hit the bullseye.
