Life after marriage was not much different from life before marriage, except that He Jing had an extra wedding ring on her ring finger. She was still working, working, working, and busy every day.
Yan's father was quite indulgent and doting on Yan's mother, but he had many demands on his daughter-in-law. He stipulated that no matter how busy she was with work, she had to go home for dinner with Yan Hanxi once a week, of course, to the Yan family home.
Privately, Yan's mother pulled He Jing aside and said helplessly, "Xiao Xi and his father have a deep rift. If it weren't for you, his father probably wouldn't see him even once a month. I'm sorry to have to suffer like this."
He Jing didn't think anything of it, because she was so busy that the He family stipulated that she had to go back once a week, for fear that she would die suddenly at work.
Therefore, the day to go back to the He family with Yan Hanxi was set for Saturday night, and the day to go back to the Yan family was set for Sunday.
That Saturday, He Jing and Yan Hanxi left the He family home together. On a whim, they abandoned the car and walked along the river together. After thinking for a moment, He Jing said to Yan Hanxi, "Brother Xi, I have something to tell you."
"you say."
Yan Hanxi took off his suit jacket because of the heat, revealing only a white shirt underneath. He unbuttoned two buttons, exposing his fair collarbone, and vaguely resembled the school heartthrob from his school days.
In the dim light, his eyes sparkled with a subtle smile, like stars shimmering in the universe. It's said that married men gain weight quickly, but he remained as handsome as ever.
Immediately afterward, he heard He Jing say, "Brother Xi, actually I'm not from this world. I came from another world. The original Zhao Qian isn't dead yet..."
The two embraced by the river, the gentle breeze ruffling their hair.
Yan Hanxi looked at you intently with his high eyes, "He knows that if she goes back, you will always miss him. Insulting him, binding him, and letting him go wherever he wants are your ways of expressing your love for him."
Xi Ge was not at all surprised, yet inexplicably relieved. Then, she deliberately raised a smile and said, word by word, "You understand what he means, He Jing."
I held onto Xi Ge's arm, rested my forehead on your chest, and said with a hint of grievance in my voice, "Sister, you're so mean to him. He can't leave you, and he can't come back to this world."
No matter which world you're from, you're mine now, and I'm devoted to you.
You paused, then pursed your red lips. "You replaced you, but did you harm you? Does he suspect that?"
Zhao Qian chuckled and shook his head: "Yes, yes, you were just telling him, you didn't mean anything by it."
Zhao Qianrong countered, "So, is he going back now?"
After a while, Yan Hanxi straightened Xi Ge's body and said in a serious tone, "Sister He, now it's your turn to act cute after he's done acting cute."
Xi Ge suddenly felt a lump in her throat, her eyes turned cold, and she snuggled into the arms of the person behind her, nuzzling against them.
The woman, seemingly aged for many years, had a captivating gaze that shone through her eyes. "Shall we go back, sister?"
With your head held high and toes pointed, you were consciously drawing circles on the ground, muttering loudly, "Isn't it a little strange?"
Xi Ge laughed heartily, then suddenly froze, patted my head, and said, "Hey, don't rub against me."
Yan Hanxi suddenly patted your head, his palm warm yet gentle, "Given the tacit understanding between you two, I think he should understand what you mean, baby."
However, I bowed deeply and retreated into Zhao Qian's embrace.
“He’s really bad, Mr. Yan.”
Actually, there was no need to say that. No matter what, Yan Hanxi hasn't married you yet, and you know clearly that I love you, but you still want to say it.
Zhao Qian's cheeks flushed instantly, his mind clouded by lust: "Return."
Yan Hanxi asked calmly, his reaction not as flustered or panicked as Brother Xi had imagined.
“You love him, Sister He.”
