Chapter 992 Extra: Daily Life with My Brothers (Part 8)

He Jing's mind was still on He Yi and He Chen giving their speeches on stage, and she was taken aback when she suddenly heard He Ning say that.

In the original story, He Ning was an idol, and others always attended his concerts. Now that he has become an athlete, he has to attend other people's concerts, which gives her a strange feeling.

However, she quickly realized what was going on and asked, "Second brother, whose concert tickets did your friend give you?"

He Ning replied, "This singer is called Zhang Wei. He sings pop songs and isn't very famous."

He Jing was stunned. Wasn't Zhang Wei He Ning's teammate when he debuted in the original novel? They were good brothers in the idol group before, but after He Ning became famous, the company asked him to go solo.

Sure enough, fate always brings together those destined to meet. He Jing readily agreed: "Okay."

He Ning pursed her lips, a faint smile curving her lips.

In fact, he bought the two tickets himself. He had a dream in which he was the idol singing on stage, shining brightly but not very happy, and even suffering from depression. However, in the coldest and darkest moment of the dream, a voice shone like sunlight throughout his world. The voice said, "When I find you, I will come to love you." When he woke up, he was still immersed in that inexplicable feeling. He knew very well that the voice belonged to He Jing.

Is that me from a parallel universe?

Does He Jing also offer her warmth in another world?

Thinking of this, He Ning's gaze softened even more as she looked at He Jing, and she said, "After the concert, wherever you want to go, I can go with you. I happen to have three days off."

Just as He Jing was about to answer, she suddenly saw He Yi and He Chen walking towards her. She immediately changed her mind, jumped up, waved, and called out with a smile, "Fifth Brother, Sixth Brother."

He Yi saw He Ning first. The two brothers looked at each other without saying a word. Instead, He Chen patted He Jing's head and called out, "Second Brother."

He Chen nodded coolly.

The school anniversary celebration was a success, and the group decided to celebrate together.

After all, the He family is not what it used to be; their lives have become more comfortable, and they no longer have to worry about their wallets when eating and drinking out.

But they still only went to a tiny, run-down restaurant near the school gate, where they sat together drinking beer. He Chen sighed, "It's a good thing Fourth Brother didn't come, otherwise he would have drunk himself into a stupor today."

He Jing already imagined He Sui's overjoyed and smug expression, and smiled knowingly. She glanced at He Ning's expressionless face and said, "Don't mention him."

Oh right, ever since they started riding pink electric scooters to school together, their friction has increased several times over, and their brotherly bond is visibly crumbling.

The tension between He Ning and He Sui is no less than that between He Yi and He Chen.

To lighten the mood, He Yi took the initiative to ask He Ning about her time at the university. The two chatted casually for a while, and then the waiter brought out some grilled skewers. They ate and talked at the same time.

He Chen poured He Jing a small plastic cup of beer. The two exchanged a knowing glance, and He Jing heard He Chen say, "He Jing, isn't this kind of life nice? Isn't it pleasant?"

"Yes, Sixth Brother." He Jing sipped her beer slowly, resting her chin on her hand as she lazily watched the two people talking. "It feels like a peaceful and idyllic time."

Without poverty and hardship, the entire He family seemed to be enveloped in happiness, with a warm atmosphere always present.

He Chen also held the small plastic cup, took a sip of beer, and said with a smile as bright as a spring breeze, "It's because you're here."

Because of you, the He family has changed its predicament and is now so happy.
