Bernita stepped forward and opened the only closed box.
Bernita's smile faltered when she saw the blue gemstone necklace inside.
Shi Xi didn't stop her and quickly said, "How about wearing a pink diamond necklace?"
Bernita closed the box and forced a smile, saying, "The lights were so bright that day that even a pink diamond would have shone brilliantly."
"Then let's go with the pink diamond." Shi Xi winked at the maid. "Go and prepare some food to entertain Miss Cather."
The maid bowed and withdrew, saying, "Yes."
Shi Xi looked at Bernita, who had a different background, and comforted her, "This necklace is just temporarily with me."
