Bernita seemed unskilled at this kind of thing, her hands trembling as she poured out the powder.
Bernita quickly stirred the powder with a spoon and placed the teacup containing the medicine on the opposite side.
Bernita stuffed the paper packet back into her sleeve, pretending nothing had happened.
She sat up straight quietly, pretending that everything was peaceful and serene.
Shi Xi was stunned when she stood in front of the mirror.
Has this girl never studied physics?
She saw everything he did to drug her!
How could there be such a person!
Shi Xi hesitated before turning around to look at Bernita, her eyes filled with complex emotions.
Bernita smiled and said, "If you're tired, sit down, have some tea and rest."
Shi Xi: I dare not drink tea.
Looking at the cup that had been drugged, Shi Xi didn't quite understand.
Was it because she was going to marry Ryan that Bernita hated her so much that she wanted to drug her?
"Would you like some sugar?" Bernita asked with a smile, adding milk and sugar cubes to her teacup and looking at Shi Xi.
Shi Xi slightly raised her long eyelashes. "No need, thank you."
Bernita picked up her teacup, took a sip, and seeing that Shi Xi hadn't drunk her tea, she didn't urge her, but changed the subject, "Where did the eldest prince go?"
"Let's go to the study," Shi Xi said casually.
"Oh." Bernita wasn't in a hurry to leave and slowly ate her dessert.
Shi Xi looked at the tea in front of her and fell into thought.

Just as the two were at an impasse, Ryan walked in.
“I heard you were trying on wedding dresses, so I came to check it out.” Ryan walked straight in and saw Bernita there, a hint of surprise flashing in his eyes.

Bernita's heart jumped.

Ryan touched the inside of the cup; the temperature was just right. "I'm a little thirsty, that's perfect."

Bernita quickly called out to Ryan.
Ryan paused, "What's wrong?"
Bernita tried to hide the panic on her face, saying, "You, you don't like sweet drinks, that one..."
“That cup didn’t have any sugar in it,” Shi Xi said, her eyes clear as she stated the facts. “You offered to add sugar to it just now, but I refused.”
"Ah, right, I forgot." Bernita blinked anxiously in her bright blue eyes, trying to figure out what to do.
Ryan found it strange.
But in front of her were Shi Xi and Bernita.
There was no reason to harm him.
So Ryan picked up his teacup again, ready to drink his tea.
Shi Xi watched with a leisurely air.
Bernita felt nervous, and when she saw that Ryan was really about to have his tea, she suddenly lunged at him.
Ryan glanced at Bernita out of the corner of his eye and, seeing that she had lost her balance, reached out to help her.
The teacup in his hand fell to the ground with a thud and shattered on the carpet.
The tea in the cups splashed onto the two of them.
When Shi Xi saw Bernita about to fake a fall, she stepped back.
She didn't want to get this beautiful wedding dress dirty.
"What's wrong?" Ryan helped Bernita to her feet.
Bernita breathed a sigh of relief when she saw the drugged teacup spill over. "It's okay. It was probably just too hot and I was a little dizzy, so I lost my balance."
