Shi Xi's words provoked Nan Wan's anger.
"How could they possibly steal my ring?!" Nan Wan exclaimed angrily. "Do you dare let me search your bag?!"
Shi Xi raised her eyes slightly and said with a light smile, "Sorry, you have no right to search me. Since you have suspicions, then call the police."
As she spoke, Shi Xi placed her bag on the table next to her and said with a smile, "If I can't find it, I can sue Miss Nan for falsely accusing me."
"What if we find it?" Nan Wan's eyes darkened as she stared intently at Shi Xi.
“I told you, I didn’t steal your ring. If it’s found, let the police check the surveillance footage and look for fingerprints on the ring.” Shi Xi remained completely calm.
Nan Wan felt a sudden panic.
The short-haired woman next to her didn't care about any of that and urged, "Wanwan, she's just feeling guilty, we should just search her!"
Yes, Shi Xi is feeling guilty, which is why she's being so secretive and unwilling to be searched!
She knew the ring was in Shi Xi's bag. As long as she could prove that Shi Xi had stolen her ring, all the grievances she had just suffered would be worth it!
Nan Wan stepped forward, picked up the bag that Shi Xi had placed on the table, and poured it onto the ground by pinching the bottom of the bag.
Shi Xi pursed her lips slightly upon seeing her action.
She carried a small handbag containing only a cell phone, a room key, a lipstick, and a compact powder for touch-ups.
Shi Xi managed to hold the phone, saving it from damage. Everything else, however, was smashed to the ground.
The powder compact was cracked and shattered. The lipstick cap didn't fall open, but I don't know what's inside.
There is no ring.
Nan Wan frowned and looked at it several more times.
No.
How could there not be?!
Nan Wan panicked even more.
She clearly put the ring in Shi Xi's bag!
How could it have disappeared!
Is it really lost?!
"Where did you hide my ring?!" Nan Wan asked through gritted teeth.
Nan Wan wasn't lying; the ring was indeed a rare, one-of-a-kind ring she bought with her own money, an item she really liked and cherished.
Shi Xi held up her phone, spreading her hands, "Miss Nan, we searched your bag, and you're still trying to frame me?"
Nan Wan clenched her fists and threw Shi Xi's bag on the table.
She threw it into Shi Xi's bag herself; Shi Xi must have hidden it!
Shi Xi chuckled, "After making a false accusation, you're just going to end it like this?"
The short-haired woman behind Nan Wan said angrily, "What else do you want? Wan Wan's ring is gone. Since you didn't steal it, let us search your bag sooner rather than later!"
Nan Wan took a deep breath and said, "I'm sorry, Miss Shi, I lost something and I was a little anxious."
"I accept your apology." Shi Xi smiled faintly. "Now, pick up my things."
With so many people watching, Nan Wan felt ashamed to pick up the things, so she pointed to a waiter and said, "Come here and pick up the things."
Shi Xi interrupted, "Don't you have hands?"
Nan Wan's eyes widened. "You want me to pick up your things?"
"Miss Nan, isn't this where you fell to the ground?" Shi Xi asked with a smile, seemingly not angry at all.
"Pick up what's on the ground." Xie Yunzhou looked at Nan Wan, his voice cold.
Nan Wan glanced at Xie Yunzhou, then at Hua Xuanhe, and said, "Cousin."
Hua Xuan said calmly, "Pick it up."
Nan Wan reluctantly squatted down.
When no one could see, Nan Wan's eyes were filled with malice.
Shi Xi, the humiliation you have caused me today, I will repay you a hundredfold in the future!
Just as Nan Wan reached out to pick up the broken powder compact, a silver high heel stepped on the back of her hand!
