Chapter 268 Car Accident

Shi Xi made a few casual remarks before starting to read the script.

As I was reading the script, the car, which had been moving smoothly, suddenly lurched.

"Bang!"

The car behind crashed into her. Shi Xi was still holding a tablet, and as she leaned forward, her head hit the back of the seat in front of her.

"hiss--"

"What happened?"

The driver in the front seat pulled the car over to the side of the road and said, "We've been rear-ended. I'm going to get out and deal with it."

Zhu Lin looked at Shi Xi and hurriedly asked, "Is your face alright? Are you hurt?"

Shi Xi rubbed her forehead. "My face should be fine."

Zhu Lin looked at the tablet that had been dropped and said, "It's okay, we can just buy a new one if it's broken."

"It's not a tablet." Shi Xi gasped. "It seems like you sprained your ankle. You should go to the hospital for an X-ray."

Zhu Lin became anxious. "I'll call Brother Han and ask."

Shi Xi: ...Han Chuan isn't a doctor!!

When Han Chuan received the call and learned that the two had been rear-ended, his first concern was for Shi Xi's face. "Is your face injured?"

"Her face is fine, but her forehead is a little red and swollen," Zhu Lin said. "But Xixi seems to have sprained her ankle. Which hospital in Yanjing should we take her to?"

Shi Xi understood; as a public figure, she couldn't go to the hospital lightly.

Nobody knows how the photos will be circulated online after they're taken.

Han Chuan gave Zhu Lin an address and told the two of them to go to the designated hospital.

After receiving it, Zhu Lin looked out the window.

The driver hasn't been properly coordinated yet.

"I'll go down and check. Be careful and don't move," Zhu Lin instructed.

Shi Xi leaned back in her chair, thinking to herself, "I can't move even if I want to."

It hurts so much!

How could I be so unlucky? Waaaaah.

Just then, Shi Xi saw several little girls crying outside the car window.

What Zhu Lin said next made the girls cry even harder.

Shi Xi: ?

Stop chatting!

My feet are more important!

Shi Xi rolled down the car window and asked, "What's wrong?"

Zhu Lin walked back angrily and said, "Those were obsessive fans who had been following the car and deliberately bumped into it!"

Shi Xi was very puzzled, "Did you deliberately bump into me?"

What a deep grudge!

Several obsessive fans looked over with teary eyes when they saw Shi Xi, and bowed apologetically, saying, "I'm sorry."

Traffic police from the area arrived to handle the situation.

Shi Xi immediately said, "Let the driver stay and handle this. You take me to the hospital first."

Zhu Lin left the driver behind to handle the situation and took Shi Xi to the hospital first.

"These fans nowadays... do you know what they're saying? They deliberately bump into you, wanting to get a closer look. How can there be such people? Aren't they afraid of causing a major accident?"

Zhu Lin honked her horn in anger.

Shi Xi leaned back in her chair and asked, "Did you record that just now?"

Zhu Lin was stunned. "No."

"If we can find evidence that they deliberately crashed into us, we'll sue them for intentional assault," Shi Xi said, swiping her phone. "I'll contact Brother Han and ask him to help me find a good lawyer."

Zhu Lin exclaimed in surprise, "Are you really going to sue? Can't you just settle this privately?"

Shi Xi said, "If we let them off so easily this time, they'll dare to do it again."

Zhu Lin glanced at Shi Xi in the rearview mirror and was astonished to see that she had actually called Han Chuan to discuss this matter.

Shi Xi has always had a good temper, and Zhu Lin thought that Shi Xi would be tolerant of everything.

I never expected Shi Xi to get angry.

Zhu Lin glanced at Shi Xi's expression again.

She was calm and composed; you couldn't tell she was angry at all.
