The three of them went to a boutique, where Shi Xi picked out suitable rings and bracelets for Dr. Qiao.
Just as Dr. Qiao was trying on the bracelet, Shi Xi noticed that a young man opposite her was staring at Dr. Qiao.
The group was recording a program, which did attract some onlookers.
But this person kept staring at Dr. Bridge.
"Is it pretty?" Shi Xi asked.
"Uh, I just think she looks a lot like one of my mentors." The young man smiled awkwardly. "Maybe I'm mistaken."
Dr. Qiao, who was looking at the bracelet, looked up, sized up the young man, and asked, "Oh? You're from Yenching University?"
The moment Dr. Qiao spoke, the young man's pupils dilated in shock. "You, you're Dr. Qiao?"
“It’s me.” Dr. Qiao looked at the young man. “You look familiar. Have you taken my class before?”
Young man: ?! ?
"I...I've attended your classes before." The young man's eyes gleamed with a different light as he looked at Dr. Qiao. "I just didn't expect Dr. Qiao to be so handsome in private..."
The younger man's voice grew softer as the conversation progressed.
Dr. Qiao asked, "What did you study? Have you graduated yet? Or not?"
Young man: "I'm a third-year graduate student in mathematics, and I'm considering whether to get a job after graduation or continue pursuing a PhD. Dr. Qiao, do you have any advice?"
"It depends on your own preferences! If you are interested in topology and representation theory, or synthetic analytic number theory, you can..." Dr. Qiao became much more cheerful when talking about his areas of expertise.
Shi Xi coughed twice, indicating that they were still filming.
I thought it would be a brief and subtle conversation, but I didn't expect it to last so long.
"Ah, sorry to bother you." The young man scratched his head sheepishly and said, "How about I add you on WeChat and we can chat when you have time?"
“Sure!” Dr. Qiao readily agreed.
Shi Xi whispered gossiply beside her, "I bet he wanted to talk about more than just math."
Bai Cangyang: "...That man is Sister Qiao's student."
Shi Xi: "But he's in his third year of graduate school, so he should be around twenty-five, twenty-six, twenty-seven, or twenty-eight years old."
Bai Cangyang: I don't understand, but I'm shocked.
In addition to the ring and bracelet, Shi Xi also bought Dr. Qiao a silver hair clip to enhance his "hot girl" vibe.
After choosing the outfits for Dr. Bridge, everyone prepared to go back.
"Wait!" Shi Xi remembered that she hadn't finished her task yet and said, "Shall we go look at some more clothes?"
"Didn't we already buy the clothes?" Bai Cangyang asked, puzzled.
Shi Xi looked at him.
Bai Cangyang immediately changed his mind, "Let's go take another look."
When they arrived at the clothing store, Bai Cangyang saw that Shi Xi was looking left and right but not choosing any clothes, so he finally took the initiative and said, "Teacher Shi Xi, what do you think of this one?"
“Sure!” Shi Xi’s eyes lit up, and she picked up the clothes. “I’ll go try it on.”
"That's—" Bai Cangyang saw that Shi Xi had already entered the fitting room, but he still managed to say the last few words, "It's for Sister Qiao."
Never mind, as long as Professor Shi Xi likes it.
Bai Cangyang withdrew his hand.
Shi Xi changed her clothes and came out of the fitting room.
Bai Cangyang chose a gentle style of clothing, a white long dress that reached her ankles, with a belt tied into a bow.
The girl's long hair reached her waist. She reached up and tucked her long black hair behind her ear. The moment she looked up, she seemed like a goddess-level academic star on campus.
Bai Cangyang was stunned.
Shi Xi asked, "How is it? Does it look good?"
Bai Cangyang came back to his senses, "She looks good. Instructor Shi Xi looks good in anything."
Shi Xi was very satisfied. She had completed her task, bought new clothes, and could have lunch.
"Let's go back and eat!" Shi Xi said immediately, feeling hungry. "It's time to eat."
