After Xu Ziqing left, an eerie silence fell over the dining table.
Shi Jingtian frowned. "It's noisy all day long, not giving this old man a moment of peace. Let's go back after we finish eating."
Shi Xi thought to herself that she hadn't said more than a few words!
But Shi Jingtian had already told them to leave, so the group had no choice but to get up, say goodbye, and depart.
"Young Master, please wait a moment," the butler said, stepping forward. "The dessert has just been made. Please have some before you go."
Timeline: "I don't like desserts."
Shi Xi smelled the sweet aroma and tugged at Shi Xu's sleeve, "Have two before you go."
Tao Yuxuan: "Or you can pack it up and take it with you."
Shi Jingtian got up, slowly walked back to the sofa, and said unhappily, "Hurry up and leave after you finish your dessert."
Shi Xi and Tao Yuxuan both love desserts, and upon hearing this, they obediently sat down, waiting for dessert after the meal.
"Grandpa, shall we go to the study to discuss the current personnel issues in the group?" Shi Xu wanted to take this opportunity to try and get Xu Ziqing's position removed.
"I'm retired now, I don't concern myself with company matters. If you need anything, come to your father." Shi Jingtian sat on the sofa, looking at the antique vase in front of him, and said disdainfully, "No matter how many vases you give me, they're not my Yunlou vases! They're not pretty at all!"
He's affectionate towards other people's granddaughters, but picky and critical of his own.
Shi Xi's lips twitched slightly. "Grandpa, I will definitely find the Yunlou vase that is exactly the same as yours."
Shi Jingtian: "That's not my vase either."
Unable to speak.
As Shi Xi ate the baked biscuits, she felt even more aggrieved.
It wasn't her who broke it!
If it weren't for these cookies, I would have walked away long ago!
How annoying! That vase was so expensive!
After finishing their desserts and milk tea, everyone said their goodbyes and left the Shi family's old house.
Tao Yuxuan breathed a sigh of relief, "Finally out. I didn't even dare to breathe deeply inside."
"Grandpa is so strange. He's so good to Xu Ziqing, but so harsh on us," Shi Xi sighed. "Is it because I'm not his biological granddaughter, or because I broke his vase?"
It's shocking that he's so sexist, but his attitude towards Shi Xu is just so-so, while he's much more gentle towards Xu Ziqing.
"They're probably both. Keep looking for that vase." Tao Yuxuan stretched. "The engagement's off, looks like everything's fine now. Xixi, I'm going to Meise for a bit, wanna come?"
“Xi Xi isn’t going.” Shi Xu pressed down on Shi Xi’s shoulder, his eyes filled with warning.
"Leng Qiankun's here too, cough cough." Tao Yuxuan suddenly remembered that Shi Xi's brother was still nearby, and chuckled, "Then I'll be going now, bye-bye~"
"Wait," Shi Xi called out to Tao Yuxuan, "You're still pregnant. Are you sure you want to go to Meise?"
"It's not like I'm really pregnant. The engagement is off now, so it's fine." Tao Yuxuan waved her hand and drove off.
Looking at the free Tao Yuxuan, Shi Xi felt a longing in her heart.
She also wanted to go out and have fun.
"You don't want to," Shixu interrupted her thoughts, saying, "Aren't you going to the film set this afternoon?"
"I don't want to go." Shi Xi, who is dedicated and responsible, just wants to get off work now.
"Then go back to school, and after graduation go straight to Shi's."
"I'm going to the film set right now."

After the younger generation left, Shi Jingtian picked up the vase that Shi Xi had given him and hugged it to his chest with delight. "Aww, this was a gift from Xi Xi, not something Shi Xu bought to appease me! Where should I put it?"
