Chapter 23 White Moonlight and Crimson Mole

Xie Jing was amused: "I see your second aunt, she doesn't seem to be a pushover."

"No matter how troublesome she is, she's not our real elder," Zhou Jiyun handed the towel to Xie Jing. "We'll rarely live in the old house in the future, so you probably won't see her often."

Xie Jing took the towel and wiped the water droplets off her face: "Oh, from your tone, it seems that something happened this morning."

"It's true that something small happened," Zhou Jiyun didn't shy away from it. He was now known for his honesty, and he told Xie Jing everything he knew. "When I went to the restaurant to eat this morning, she asked about you. The gist of it was that you were absent from the bride's first meal after arriving home."

Xie Jing glanced at Zhou Jiyun: "What did you say?"

"I don't need to tell you," Zhou Jiyun spread his hands, "Grandpa really likes you, so he pouted it back."

Xie Jing smiled: "What does Grandpa like? I will buy you something after we get the marriage certificate. Thank you for speaking for me."

"You have no conscience. You only remember your grandpa. What about me? I've made up for it for you." Zhou Jiyun seemed jealous. He hadn't received any gift from Xie Jing yet, but now the old man was ahead?

Xie Jing rolled her eyes: "We are husband and wife. How can you say that we are helping each other? Protecting your wife in front of outsiders is what you should do as a husband."

Zhou Jiyun was easily coaxed by Xie Jing: "Yes, you are right, this is what I should do as a husband."

Zhou Jiyun was so easily brainwashed by her. Xie Jing suddenly felt that Zhou Jiyun was not as smart as he seemed. Why did Zhou Jiyun believe everything she said?

It was easy to understand what Xie Jing was thinking. Zhou Jiyun tapped her forehead and asked, "What bad things are you saying about me in your heart?"

Xie Jing immediately shook her head: "How dare I criticize you? I'm ready, shall we go?"

Zhou Jiyun raised the corners of his lips, knowing that Xie Jing wasn't telling the truth. Although there had been no hugs or good morning kisses since Xie Jing woke up, it was nice to slowly cultivate feelings with Xie Jing like this. They had plenty of time to slowly get to know each other and fall in love.

Walking along the path of the old house, Xie Jing couldn't help but sigh: "If I had seen these scenes yesterday, why would I be scared at night?"
