Chapter 191 Escape and Ascension 3

The man looked down at her, his eyes sparkling like shattered diamonds, his smile carrying a tender confidence: "Tonight, you can't escape."

Xu Zhuohua looked up into his burning eyes, and the bittersweet feeling that had arisen in her heart due to the premonition of parting was suddenly diluted by the tenderness of this moment.

She reached out and hooked her arm around his neck, leaned forward, and planted a light kiss on his lips, her voice carrying a touch of desperate allure: "I won't run away."

She paused, then met his increasingly deep gaze and said, word by word, "Pick whatever you like."

The night, like thick ink, swallowed up all the noise outside the window, leaving only the ambiguous breathing sounds flowing inside.

Cheng Muyun gently placed Xu Zhuohua on the bed. The brocade quilt slipped off, revealing the delicate skin on her shoulders, which glowed softly in the dim light.

He leaned closer, his nose brushing against her temple, his cool breath brushing against her ear, causing Xu Zhuohua to flinch slightly, yet instinctively snuggling closer to him.

Cheng Muyun's hand gently covered her waist, his fingertips calloused, bringing a slight tickle as they brushed against her fabric.

He didn't rush to do anything, but gently caressed that warm skin with his fingertips, as if he were depicting a rare treasure.

Xu Zhuohua's breathing gradually became erratic, her cheeks flushed, and her eyelashes trembled slightly. She dared not look at the surging emotions in his eyes.

He chuckled softly, his voice hoarse as if it were soaked in honey, carrying a bewitching power.

Xu Zhuohua buried her face even deeper, her nose touching his chest, and she could clearly hear his steady and powerful heartbeat, each beat striking her heart.

She raised her hand to wrap around his neck, pulling him closer, her lips brushing against his chin unintentionally, a clumsy act of initiative.

Cheng Muyun's eyes darkened, and he lowered his head to capture her lips.

This kiss was different from the previous one; it carried a long-suppressed heat and urgency. As they lingered and caressed each other, it was as if they wanted to knead each other into their very bones.

Xu Zhuohua's hands gradually tightened, gripping the fabric of his back, her knuckles turning white, but in his increasingly deep kiss, she slowly relaxed her tense body, letting herself indulge in this moment of tenderness.

Moonlight streamed through the windowpanes, scattering shards of silver across the floor, reflecting the intertwined figures and stretching time into a long, tender moment.
