Chapter 2 The Serial Killer Cheng Muyun

Xu Zhuohua dared not think too much and nimbly hid behind the offering table, wondering what kind of ability the Xu family had to frighten Cheng Muyun, this great demon king.

Unexpectedly, Cheng Muyun took off his military jacket and threw it at Xu Zhuohua's head.

Xu Zhuohua was greeted by a heavy military uniform, and then heard Cheng Muyun's cheerful voice: "So it's Miss Xu, then we'll meet again someday!"

As Xu Zhuohua hastily pulled off her military uniform, she saw Cheng Muyun open the door, his tall figure walking out of the meditation room. He glanced back from afar, a triumphant smile on his lips.

Xu Zhuohua was so frightened that he quickly covered his eyes with his military uniform.

"Who wants to meet you again!"

Cheng Muyun walked briskly to the temple entrance.

Zhang Qi, the adjutant who was leaning against the hood of the car, was about to light a cigarette when he saw Cheng Muyun, who was wearing a white shirt, walk out. He paused for a moment, then put the cigarette and lighter into his pocket.

Cheng Muyun couldn't stand seeing his subordinates smoking.

"Young Marshal? What happened to you..."

The clothes are neat, but something's missing?

military uniform!

Cheng Muyun opened the car door and got in, and Zhang Qi immediately sat in the front seat as well.

"Young Marshal, where is your military uniform?"

Cheng Muyun curled his lips into a smile, "I gave it to Miss Xu."

Zhang Qi seemed to have learned something incredible, his eyes widened as he asked, "The Xu family, the family you were betrothed to as children?"

"Um."

Miss Xu is at the temple? Zhang Qi looked at Cheng Muyun's lingering smile and figured the two must have gone through something. He smiled, turned back, and started the car engine.

"Later I'll go to Baoci Town to deliver a visiting card, saying that I'll be going to the Xu family in two days to discuss the engagement."

Zhang Qi was taken aback: "Aren't you going to tell the warlord and his wife?"

Cheng Muyun looked at the Huian Temple gradually disappearing outside the car window. "No need. It will take two days to send the message to Xinhai City. There's no time."

Zhang Qi nodded in agreement.

It's definitely too late. Things haven't been peaceful lately. Xinhai City is in chaos. Plus, some magazine recently came out, and someone is making all sorts of nonsense in it. Students and workers are often causing trouble. There's an undercurrent of tension, and it looks like it could unleash a bloodbath.

Therefore, Cheng Muyun had to return as soon as he fulfilled his vow.

Zhang Qi couldn't understand it at all. Wasn't he here to break off the engagement? Why was he here to discuss the engagement?

Why did he stop once he saw Miss Xu?
