Chapter 163 Murder and Arson Cheng Muyun 1

The crowd was like a hornet's nest that had been poked, with screams, cries, and curses all mixed together.

"Cheng Muyun killed someone! He killed someone again!"

"A madman! A ruthless killer! He even set fire to people's homes!"

In the chaos, several flashes of light suddenly went off, stinging people's eyes.

Reporters mingled in the crowd were frantically snapping photos, their lenses fixed on Cheng Muyun's gun-wielding hand, the cold disgust on his face, and the bloodstains spreading on the ground—these images would surely become the sharp blades that would stir up trouble tomorrow.

The others were already terrified and didn't bother to pick up their hats and baskets that had fallen to the ground. They just scattered and ran away, trying to get as far away from this ruthless killer as possible.

But as soon as he took two steps, a dark mass of figures blocked his way.

The Dongzhou army had arrived at some unknown time. Their black uniforms gleamed coldly in the sunlight, and they held their guns straight with the muzzles pointing outwards, completely surrounding the area in front of the ancestral hall.

The man running at the front crashed headfirst into the butt of a soldier's rifle, letting out a muffled groan of pain. When he looked up, he saw a row of expressionless faces, and his legs instantly gave way, causing him to collapse to the ground.

Cheng Muyun slowly lowered the gun and leisurely wiped the muzzle with a handkerchief, as if he had just crushed an insect.

He looked up at the surrounded crowd, his gaze sweeping over the terrified faces and the flickering cameras, his eyes filled with a bottomless, icy abyss.

Cheng Muyun put down his pistol and slowly took the submachine gun that Zhang Qi handed him.

He surveyed the crowd with disdain and said, word by word, "I gave you all a chance, but you walked right into hell yourself, so don't blame me for being ruthless."

He paused, then slowly loaded more bullets into the submachine gun, his movements slow yet powerful, as if each bullet represented a human head.

Cheng Muyun's eyes flashed with a strange light as he looked at the crowd. "Since your master dared to let you provoke me, he must be prepared to collect your corpses."

Cheng Muyun raised his hand-held submachine gun and pointed it at the resisters.

Some people tried to escape, but were driven back by the soldiers surrounding them with their rifle butts.

Wailing cries filled the air; it was yet another hell on earth.

Chen Hede rushed out of the ancestral hall, trying to stop Cheng Muyun.

"Cheng Muyun! You can't kill anyone!"

Just as his fingers were about to touch Cheng Muyun's back, Zhang Qi stopped him.

“Deputy Director Chen, I have already investigated. All these people were sent by Chairman Luo. They are not from the factory, but homeless people from nearby counties. Those reporters are also Chairman Luo’s people.”

Chen Hede said anxiously, "But we can't just kill people indiscriminately!"

Zhang Qi said coldly, "No one dares to stop the young marshal now. Deputy Director Chen, I advise you not to walk into the line of fire at this time."

Chen Hede's steps suddenly stopped, as if he had been nailed to the spot by invisible nails.

He stiffly turned his head, his gaze meeting Cheng Muyun's eyes, which were now devouring him with a ferocity that was almost monstrous, mixed with undisguised greed, like a wild beast that had suddenly torn off its disguise.

Chen Hede's heart pounded wildly, and cold sweat trickled down his collar from the back of his neck.

His heart was pounding with anxiety, each beat sending shivers down his spine.

Xu Zhuohua is dead, and that beam of light has gone out.

Without that constraint, Cheng Muyun completely became a mad dog that had broken free of its chains. He threw all rules and consequences to the back of his mind, and all that remained in his eyes was a madness that wanted to crush everything.
