The two walked for less than half an hour before finally reaching the top of the mountain.
The villagers usually dig for wild vegetables at the foot of the mountain and rarely come up. They do sometimes go up the mountain to catch some wild game, but it's hard to find any.
Shen Danru and Shen Yuyan walked around for a while but didn't find any edible plants. There were a few wild fruits on the mountain, but they were sour and astringent, so they couldn't be sold for money.
It was lunchtime soon, and the two of them hadn't made any progress.

Walking back to those smelly plants, Chen Danru squatted down and started digging.
