Chapter 58: Ask her to be patient?
Song Yuntang pointed at his face and said, "Can't you see? The word 'poor' is almost written on my face."
Looking at her, Lin Jingyao suddenly felt that this sister whom he had not had much contact with for three years was now quite interesting.
Since she left the Lin family, the two of them seemed to have never spoken so calmly.
"Since you are short of money, why don't you take the silver I give you?"
Song Yuntang shook his head, "I don't feel at ease taking other people's money."
Hearing her words, Lin Jingyao felt uncomfortable in his heart, and he looked at her seriously.
"Tang'er, I will always be your brother."
"But in my heart, you are no longer that." Song Yuntang looked at him with a smile, his heart extremely calm. "When I was in the Lin family before, I really have to thank Mr. Lin for his care. If I need you in the future, I will not refuse if I can do it."
After saying that, he quickened his pace.
Lin Jingyao followed behind her, feeling as if his heart was being grasped by a big hand, and his chest felt stuffy.
The two of them soon arrived at the Lin Mansion.
As far as she could remember, the original owner hadn't been here for a long time, but the Lin Mansion was no different from when she left three years ago.
When she was brought to Zhuang Wenyin's courtyard by Lin Jingyao, Lin Gengshi and Lin Zhaozhao were also there.
Lin Zhaozhao sat next to Zhuang Wenyin, leaning on her shoulder, looking like a loving mother and a filial daughter. When she saw Song Yuntang coming, she did not stand up. Instead, she looked in her direction with a smug look on her face, as if declaring her sovereignty.
Song Yuntang had a smile on his face.
If it was the original owner, she might still feel sad, because she doesn't have any feelings for Zhuang Wenyin at all.
Seeing that she didn't show any anger or jealousy at all, Lin Zhaozhao couldn't help feeling a little frustrated.
She sat up straight and glared at Song Yuntang fiercely.
Song Yuntang ignored her and bowed to Zhuang Wenyin, "Aunt, I'm here to see you. How have you been feeling these days?"
Zhuang Wenyin smiled and said, "After taking the medicine you prescribed, I feel much better these past two days."
Judging from her complexion, she looks much more rosy than the last time I saw her at Fayun Temple.
Song Yuntang first felt Zhuang Wenyin's pulse, and then took out a silver needle from his sleeve.
"Let me give my aunt acupuncture first."
"Okay." Thinking that she still needed acupuncture, she quickly looked at her children in the room, "You all go out, Tang'er and Aunt Zhao can stay here."
Upon hearing this, Lin Jingyao and Lin Gengshi went out as instructed, but Lin Zhaozhao showed no intention of leaving.
"Mom, I can stay here with you too." She said obediently.
"No, Mom still needs to give me acupuncture. Don't let the silver needles scare you here." Zhuang Wenyin patted the back of her hand. "Go out with your brothers first. When it's over, we'll have dinner together."
Lin Zhaozhao suppressed the smile on her face. It would be fine if she was a lady who grew up in a wealthy family, but she was not. How could she be afraid of a mere silver needle?
I just said that because I didn't want her to stay in the room.
But now Zhuang Wenyin had already spoken, so Lin Zhaozhao gave Song Yuntang a look, bowed to Zhuang Wenyin and left the room.
From beginning to end, Song Yuntang had a half-smile on his face and didn't take her little actions seriously at all. This calm look made Lin Zhaozhao even more crazy.
While performing acupuncture, Zhuang Wenyin looked at Song Yuntang and said in a gentle voice, "Tang'er, I know Zhao Zhao can't help but act a little bit irritable every time she sees you. She has indeed been wronged in the past few years. It's not a big deal after all. I hope you can bear with it a little bit."
Song Yuntang's movements paused.
Lin Zhaozhao is not just throwing tantrums, she wants everyone to isolate her. This is tantamount to killing someone.
The original owner was depressed at first, and Lin Zhaozhao definitely contributed to it.
And what Zhuang Wenyin said obviously meant that she wanted her to tolerate Lin Zhaozhao.
But it was the Lin family who replaced the original owner, not the Song family. Now it seems as if she owes Lin Zhaozhao.
Song Yuntang resumed his actions and pretended not to understand what she meant.
"My mother always says that I would rather die than live in disgrace, and I can't stand being wronged. But since my aunt has said this, as long as Miss Lin doesn't go too far, I will just say something. It's harmless anyway. We can all get angry and the matter will be over."
Zhuang Wenyin's expression froze as she listened to Song Yuntang's extremely light words. For a moment, she didn't know how to respond.
After a long while, she sighed.
"Tang'er, you are so smart, you should understand what I mean. During the years you were in the Lin family, I never treated you unfairly. Since you have enjoyed the glory and wealth for so many years on behalf of Zhao Zhao, I don't ask you to repay her. Can you just give in to her in words?"
Hearing this, Song Yuntang smiled.
The second brother said before that if she really went back to the Lin family, she would definitely be wronged.
How come the original owner couldn't see through something that he, a rough guy who grew up in a farmer's family, could see?
This place was her home in the past, but now it is nothing but a hell.
This family might still have some feelings for her, but if she really returned to the Lin family, once there was a conflict, between her and Lin Zhaozhao, the Lin family would definitely choose Lin Zhaozhao without hesitation.
If this continues, the mental and physical torture will definitely make life much more difficult than that of the Song family.
"What are you laughing at?" Zhuang Wenyin looked at her in confusion. "I think that if we visit each other more often in the future, you and Zhao Zhao will have more opportunities to meet. In my heart, you two are both my daughters. If the sisters don't get along, I won't be able to help anyone, and it will inevitably make outsiders laugh at you."
Song Yuntang nodded slightly, "Mrs. Lin's kindness is appreciated, but I really have no intention of climbing up the social ladder in the mansion. I just want to live my life quietly in Rongshu Village."
Zhuang Wenyin could hear the alienation in Song Yuntang's words.
"Tang'er, are you blaming me?"
Song Yuntang shook his head calmly, "Mrs. Lin didn't do anything excessive to me, why should I blame her?"
After that, neither of them spoke.
After Song Yuntang finished the acupuncture, she rejected Zhuang Wenyin's kindness and did not stay for dinner at the Yuanwai Mansion. She agreed to come back for acupuncture the next day and then left the Yuanwai Mansion directly. She left in a hurry, and when Lin Jingyao learned the news, she was gone.
After Song Yuntang left, Zhuang Wenyin asked Aunt Zhao who was standing beside her.
"Mammy, do you think I said something wrong just now? She even changed the way she addressed me."
As an outsider, Nanny Zhao can see things more clearly than Zhuang Wenyin, an insider.
"Since Madam cares about Miss Song, she shouldn't ask her to give in to Miss. If she says that now, she might think Madam is partial."
"No wonder." Zhuang Wenyin sighed, "But what can I do? You've seen that girl Zhao Zhao. She always gets humiliated when she meets her. I'm also afraid that she will get mad at me."
