The big one and seven small ones walked away proudly under the worried gazes of everyone in the Xu family, heading towards Daqing Mountain.
When we arrived at the foot of Daqing Mountain, we saw some villagers collecting firewood. When the villagers saw Xu Laosan bringing his seven children to the mountain, they asked curiously, "Laosan, are you here with the children to collect firewood too?"
Xu Laosan had no choice but to follow the villagers' words and said, "Yes, uncle, there is not much firewood here. I will take the children to walk inside and take a look."
The villager said, "Then be careful with the children." Xu Laosan nodded and said goodbye, then continued to move forward with the children.
Everyone has come to the outskirts. Villagers usually come here, so it is a safe area. Qibao said, "Dad, brothers, let's go a little further inside. Watch your step." Several people nodded, and even the talkative Xiaowu began to scan the surroundings and give warning.
Qibao said, "Don't be afraid. We haven't entered the deep mountains yet! There won't be any large wild animals here. At most, there are some rabbits and pheasants."
Qibao took the lead and walked forward again. The further they went in the road, the harder it became to walk on. No villagers had dared to come in before, so the path was covered with weeds and shrubs. Qibao was fine, as she could just jump over any obstacle she couldn't get through. But the others couldn't. Several of her brothers looked at Qibao with envy, wondering when they would be able to have such good martial arts skills like their sister. Even Xu Laosan became envious, wondering if it was too late for him to learn martial arts at his age. He would definitely ask Qibao when he got back.
Qibao looked back and saw that Sixth Brother was moving forward with greater difficulty than his other brothers, but he remained silent. Because of his short stature, some of the grass was taller than him, so he said, "Dad, put Sixth Brother in the backpack. He can easily get his eyes poked by branches." After hearing what his daughter said, Xu Laosan quickly picked up Little Six and stuffed him into the backpack behind him.
They quickly reached the place where Qibao had dug ginseng last time, and turned back and said, "Dad, this is where I dug ginseng last time. If you go in further, you will be in the deep mountains. Don't let your guard down. Some animals will lurk and attack you." In fact, Qibao could sense any movement, but he just wanted to train his brothers to remain vigilant in dangerous situations.
Qibao contacted Xiaoling in the space again and asked Xiaoling to help him scan the surroundings to see if he could find any precious herbs or something.
When they were almost under a big tree, a gray thing suddenly jumped out from behind the tree, startling the brothers. Xiaowu excitedly shouted, "Sister, it's a rabbit!"
Qibao had seen it too, so he picked up a stone and threw it at the rabbit. With a piercing sound, the rabbit fell to the ground. The other children cheered as they saw the rabbit fall. Xu Zhiyong went over to pick it up, only to find that one of its legs was bleeding and it couldn't get up. Xu Laosan put the rabbit in his backpack.
Qibao said, "Brothers, don't make too much noise in the mountains. If you disturb the big wild animals, it will be troublesome. Do you understand?"
Xu Laosan said, "You little bastard, did you hear what your sister said? You just made too much noise. You can't do this anymore."
The younger ones all covered their mouths and nodded in fear. Only the two older ones, Xu Wenwu and Xu Zhiyong, were calmer and did not act like the younger ones just now.
The group continued on their way, finding a few small prey along the way. Qibao pocketed them all. Suddenly, Xiaoling's voice came to mind, "Master, there's a Ganoderma lucidum under the dead log up ahead. It's not very old, but it can be planted in the space."
Qibao's eyes lit up. No matter how small a mosquito is, it is still meat. He led everyone to the wooden stake and picked the Ganoderma lucidum.
Xu Laosan asked, "What did you pick, girl?"
Qibao said, "Dad, this is a medicinal herb called Lingzhi. It's as valuable as ginseng, but it's not very old."
When Xu Siyuan heard that it was a medicinal herb, his eyes lit up and he said, "Sister, this Ganoderma lucidum must be very valuable and can cure many diseases, right?"
Qibao said, "Yes, Ganoderma lucidum can protect the liver, detoxify, and delay aging. I plan to transplant it into Master's medicine garden. The spiritual energy there is rich, which can accelerate its growth." Because they picked a medicinal herb as precious as ginseng, everyone looked very happy.
They continued to move deeper into the area. When they got here, it was already dark. The sunlight was completely blocked by the trees. Because there was no sunlight, there were fewer weeds. The ground was covered with rotten leaves, making it look even more eerie. Xiaoliu was so scared that he squatted in the backpack with only his two rolling eyes showing as he looked around nervously.
Suddenly, Qibao stopped and listened attentively. The people following Qibao also stopped, not daring to breathe. Qibao said, "There's movement, everyone pay attention."
Suddenly, a wild boar covered in black hair with its fangs raised rushed towards them from the bushes. Xu Laosan was frightened and quickly protected the children around him behind him, holding the axe at his waist in his hand, ready to attack at any time.
At this time Qibao moved. She picked up the dagger with agility, flipped sideways to the wild boar's back, and stabbed the dagger at the wild boar's head. The wild boar wailed in pain, and blood flowed into its eyes, blocking its vision. It began to rush around trying to throw the person off its back.
Qibao held on to the pig's hair tightly, and increased her strength to stab the wild boar's head twice. Immediately, the wild boar's blood flowed out from the hole, and even some of its brains flowed out. The wild boar gradually lost its strength, fell to the ground with a bang, gasping for breath, and could no longer get up. Qibao came to the pig's head and saw that the wild boar's eyes were staring at her viciously. Qibao snorted coldly, stretched out her hand and stabbed the wild boar's throat again, and the wild boar was completely dead.
