Treat them differently

"Who says it's not? That's why Young Master Xiao has always been very popular, and those students admire him very much. However, there are also many people born in poor families who have benefited a lot from him!" said the waiter.

"So that's how it is." Uncle Xu said.

Soon, several people were led to an empty table and sat down.

"Dear guests, what would you like to eat?" The waiter immediately took the menu from the waiter next to him and put it on the table and said.

"We just came here and are not familiar with many things. Just serve us a few of your restaurant's specialties," said Uncle Xu.

"Then sir, you have come to the right place. The dishes in our Fuyun Restaurant are praised by the high-ranking officials in the capital. I guarantee that you will be satisfied." The waiter said, patting his chest.

"It seems that officials often come to your restaurant to eat. I guess the food must be delicious." Uncle Xu said.

The waiter touched the back of his head and chuckled. Just as he was about to say something, a voice came.

"Shunzi, are you done with the work?"

When his name was suddenly called, the waiter turned around and saw the shopkeeper standing behind him, staring at him. He immediately said embarrassedly, "Yes, yes, shopkeeper, I'll go serve the guests right away."

After saying that, he ran towards the kitchen without stopping, fearing that if he ran too slowly, the shopkeeper would scold him.

"Dear guests, I'm still young and speak in a very arrogant way. It's just that there are often officials from the capital passing through Tianyou City on business. They stop to rest and eat, and they always come to my Fuyun Restaurant to try something new. We have a few dishes that taste good and suit their tastes. You should know that those restaurants in the capital are much more luxurious than my Fuyun Restaurant. How dare I say that people come here because of our reputation? Please don't take what I just said to heart."

After hearing what the shopkeeper said, Qibao thought that the shopkeeper was really modest and cautious, but she heard another meaning. The shopkeeper only said that Fuyun Restaurant could not compare with the luxury of those restaurants in the capital, but he did not say that the taste of his food was worse than theirs.

Uncle Xu smiled and nodded. The shopkeeper also politely clasped his fists after he finished speaking, turned around and went back to the counter. He raised his eyes and glanced at Qibao and his group, then lowered his head to adjust the abacus in his hand.

Putting aside other things, the Fuyun Restaurant serves food quite quickly. The few of them only waited for about a quarter of an hour, and the waiter had already brought the arranged dishes to the table one by one.

Looking at the table full of steaming food, Xiaowu swallowed his saliva and couldn't wait to taste it, but Uncle Xu, the only elder, hadn't started eating yet, so he didn't want to eat first.

Uncle Xu saw this and said, "We're not at home, there aren't so many rules. Just eat when you're hungry."

After hearing this, Xiaowu chuckled, picked up the chopsticks and reached for the lion's head on the table, and couldn't wait to take a bite.

“Hmm…”

Xiaowu raised his eyebrows and chewed rapidly.

Qibao found it funny to see Fifth Brother's tongue moving up and down non-stop. She knew that this was not because the lion's head was a delicacy, but because it was too hot to eat. If she didn't move her mouth, she was afraid that blisters would form on her lips. So she placed a cup of warm tea in front of Fifth Brother.

Xiao Wu immediately picked it up and put it into his mouth. After swallowing the food in his mouth, he said, "Thank you, sister. But this lion's head tastes really good. Although it can't compare to the taste of the food at home, it's not bad outside. Sister, you can try it too."

After saying that, he picked up one, blew on it, and then put it into Qibao's bowl.

Everyone started to pick up their chopsticks and began to eat. For a while, the only sound on the table was the clatter of dishes and chopsticks.

After everyone had eaten their fill for a while, Uncle Xu looked at the food left on the table. Seeing that the children couldn't eat anymore, he drank a cup of tea to reduce the food in their stomachs and make some space. In line with the principle of not wasting food, he ate the rest and then wiped his mouth with satisfaction.

He is a genuine farmer and knows that food is not easy to come by. Only by eating the food can the sweat of farmers be justified.

"It's really good. The more you eat it, the better it tastes. No wonder the guy said so. It's not false." Uncle Xu said, touching his bloated stomach.

"It's indeed good." Xu Wenwu said with a faint smile.

"I still feel comfortable after eating hot food. I have to get up and take a walk to digest the food." Xiaowu said.

Everyone had the same idea and called the waiter to prepare to pay the bill.

The waiter who had received them saw Uncle Xu waving at him, so he came up to him with a smile and said, "Are you satisfied with the food in our restaurant?"

Uncle Xu said, "It's really delicious. I ate so much that my stomach is full."

The waiter glanced at the dishes on the table and saw that they were all clean. His smile widened, and he felt very pleased. He said, "As long as the distinguished guest is satisfied."

Uncle Xu asked, "How much is this table?"

The waiter smiled and said, "Dear guests, please pay at the counter."

The Xu family followed the waiter to the counter. When the shopkeeper saw them, he immediately smiled and asked, "Are you satisfied, my dear guests?"

Uncle Xu said, "It's just as the young man said. The taste is absolutely amazing. Could you please calculate the price?"

The shopkeeper took the bill, fiddled with his abacus for a while, and then said with a smile, "The total is four taels and twenty coins. I'll round it off and give you four taels of silver."

Uncle Xu secretly sighed in his heart, this meal only cost four taels of silver. It turned out that the more prosperous the place, the more expensive the prices.
