Chapter Fifty-Four: The Siblings Apologize

Chapter Fifty-Four: The Siblings Apologize

Because of their young age, the villagers turned a blind eye to the petty thefts committed by the siblings.

The reason is simple: the two children are young and ignorant, and they hope their parents will educate them properly; but that thing is not a good thing either, and the children have gone astray as they learn from it.

But now, they're threatening people with their lives!

The two had always lived a smooth and successful life in the village, so why would the villagers criticize them like this?

Zhu Erniu was so angry that her face turned red, and she roared fiercely at the villagers.

Some villagers reprimanded him with dissatisfaction.

"You child! You only learn bad things and not good ones."

"Blame her useless father, he's lazy, greedy, and a thief!"

"You can't spoil a child by letting them steal a needle when they're young, or they'll steal gold when they grow up."

Although Zhu Erniu is cunning, she can't stand others talking about her father.

"You're not allowed to talk about my father!" Zhu Erniu's eyes were bloodshot as she lunged at one of the villagers.

"Hey!"

Fortunately, they reacted quickly and pulled the people away.

"What's wrong with you, kid! You've actually learned to bite people."

savage and uncouth, with absolutely no manners.

"My father was right after all. You are cold-hearted and vicious, and you speak ill of him to everyone you meet!" Zhu Erniu's tone was sharp, and her eyes were as fierce as those of a wild beast in the mountains.

This sight terrified everyone, who feared that the little beast would go berserk and bite people indiscriminately.

Seeing that the villagers weren't gossiping, Zhu Erniu finally turned her gaze to Jiang Mi, her eyes seeming to say, "Hurry up and hand over the money."

“Go to the village chief’s house. The village chief is fair. If it is really the Jiang family’s fault, we will give him two taels of silver. If it is a frame-up, the Jiang family will not let it go.”

Without wasting any words, Jiang Mi grabbed Zhu Erniu by the collar.

Taking advantage of her height and weight, Zhu Erniu was like a little chick in her hands.

Zhu Xiaonan was also carried by several aunts to Zhu Qiancheng; some villagers, not wanting to get into trouble, went home and went about their business; some of the bolder ones followed behind Jiang Mi, watching the drama unfold.

"You fat pig, let me go! Let me go!"

"You're just a worthless slut! You're fat, ugly, and short, a whore who seduces men!"

"If anything happens to my brother, I curse your Jiang family to be destroyed and die a horrible death!"

All the way, Zhu Erniu cursed and swore, as if she had used up all the vicious words she had learned in her life.

Jiang Mi's face turned green as she listened. At such a young age, she had already learned so many vicious words and had such a sharp tongue; what would she be like when she grew up!

Snap—

Jiang Mi couldn't stand it anymore and slapped Zhu Erniu hard on the bottom.

“Shut up! If you dare to say another word, I’ll throw you into this pond and drown you; that will solidify your status as a murderer.”

The phrase "family destroyed and people killed" is her bottom line; she will never repeat the same mistake.

Threatened like this, Zhu Erniu wisely shut her mouth, because she thought Jiang Mi would really do it.

Whether in terms of weight, body shape, age, or strength, Jiang Mi completely overwhelms her in every aspect. If she wanted to, it would be as easy as crushing an ant.

I really don't understand why Dad would let his two children provoke the Jiang family. This fat guy doesn't look like someone to be trifled with!

When the hard approach didn't work, Zhu Erniu had to resort to the soft approach.

"Sister, how about we don't go to the village chief's house, and we won't ask you for compensation? Just let us leave. As for the medical expenses, we'll pay for them ourselves." Zhu Erniu's tone was soft and sweet, completely different from her shrewish demeanor just now.

Jiang Mi sneered, not buying her act at all: "You should save those words for the village chief."

Wishing you a bright future.

Jiang Mu had just finished dealing with the sweet potato field and, taking a break, went to find Zhu Qiancheng. Before she could even sit down properly, she heard Mitang's voice.

I thought it was just a hallucination because of the heat, but when I turned my head, I saw Honey carrying a thin little girl towards us.

"Honey, what are you doing here on this hot day?"

"mother."

Jiang Mi told her mother the whole story of how she put the person on the ground.

Upon hearing this, Jiang's mother immediately flew into a rage: "Well, you little brat, you really have taken your father's surname; you've learned all the family's skills!"

Those damned bastards, taking advantage of her absence, even bullied the children.

"What?" Zhu Qiancheng was furious: "You two, how could you do such a despicable thing?"

"Grandpa, what do you think about this?" Jiang Mi asked, glancing at the little boy lying on the ground pretending to be dead, then kicked him a few times: "How long are you going to keep up this act?"

The boy remained motionless, pretending to be dead.

"I don't think this child can be saved. We might as well cremate him on the spot and you can save money on burial." Jiang Mi said quietly, staring at Zhu Xiaonan lying on the ground, and took out a torch from the side.

Startled, Zhu Xiaonan, who was lying on the ground, quickly got up and said fiercely, "You vicious woman, you actually wanted to cremate me on the spot!"

Fortunately, he got up early, so the fire actually landed on him.

But something seems off.

Oh no! We've fallen for their trap.

Realizing what had happened, Zhu Xiaonan slapped her thigh in frustration, realizing she had been tricked by this fat woman.

Seeing this, Jiang Mi gave a half-smile and said, "Isn't everything alright?"

Zhu Erniu was so angry at her foolish younger brother that her teeth chattered: "You idiot, you've been tricked and you don't even know it!"

I'm not afraid of god-like opponents, but I'm afraid of pig-like teammates.

Now that they've stood up, doesn't that prove that the siblings did it on purpose?

Zhu Qiancheng was also disappointed. In the end, he had overestimated the siblings: "They framed us. Right now, we can only send them to the yamen and let the county magistrate deal with them!"

He who steals a needle when young will steal gold when grown up.

These two kids are probably beyond redemption.

Zhu Erniu was also startled by these words. She quickly grabbed Zhu Xiaonan's hand and knelt down with him, kowtowing and saying, "Village Chief Zhu Xiaonan, we know we were wrong. We will never dare to do it again. Please forgive us this time!"

"Grandpa, please let us go. We'll never do it again." Zhu Xiaonan realized the seriousness of the situation and begged for mercy along with her sister.

"Hmph!" Zhu Qiancheng snorted coldly: "You're incorrigible! You're all talk. Even if the King of Heaven himself came today, I would still send you to the yamen."

Since it cannot be corrected, we can only follow the rules.

Zhu Xiaonan had never seen such a scene before, and she was so frightened that she burst into tears.

"Honey, what do you think we should do about this?" Zhu Qiancheng asked symbolically.

After all, the Jiang family were the victims, so we should still consult their opinions.

"These two kids have gone astray, Grandpa!"
