Chapter Thirty-Three: Willow Trees Cause New Trouble
Having been given a second chance at life, she has become somewhat selfish; she only wants to find a way out for herself and make her family's life better; secondly, she wants to find her enemies from her past life and take revenge, which is her greatest satisfaction in this life.
Listening to Jiang Mi's ramblings, Liang Lan felt a pang of sadness, but even more so, she was deeply moved, and tears fell silently.
Jiang Mi took in everything, pretending not to see it, and gently patted Liang Lan's shoulder: "Second sister-in-law, women should love themselves well."
He left those words behind and went inside to find a change of clothes.
Watching Jiang Mi's broad, departing figure, Liang Lan silently wiped away the tears from the corners of her eyes.
Do you take good care of yourself?
No one had ever said such a thing to her before.
The words my mother spoke to me before I got married are still vivid in my mind: "Once a woman marries, she must follow her husband wherever he goes, whether he's a chicken or a dog. Her job is to be a good wife and mother. A woman's virtue lies in her lack of talent..."
My thoughts drifted away.
…
Inside the room, Jiang Mi was unaware that Liang Lan was having all sorts of wild thoughts because of what she had just said.
She took out the new clothes that her mother had made for her a couple of days ago. The clothes were made of linen and had an excellent feel, soft and smooth, much better than coarse cloth.
Jiang Mi's eyes crinkled with happiness, a feeling of bliss spreading through her heart. Her mother had been doing everything she could to give her the best from beginning to end.
"ah!"
Just as she was immersed in joy, a scream shattered the silence of the courtyard.
Without a second thought, Jiang Mi put down the clothes in her hands and quickly ran towards the location of the scream.
Su Yindi was huddled in the corner of the house, trembling as if she had been frightened.
"Third Sister-in-law," Jiang Mi called out tentatively.
Liang Lan, who was busy in the kitchen, was also drawn over.
Su Yindi looked up, her face streaked with tears, and pointed tremblingly to a spot in the room, her voice shaking: "There...there's a womanizer!"
Jiang Mi and Liang Lan looked at each other, nodded, took out two thick sticks from behind the door, and tiptoed towards the room.
Swish—
A dark shadow flashed by.
"You flower thief! I'll beat you to death!"
"Shameless bastard."
The two women took turns hitting the man with sticks.
The only sounds in the room were the woman's curses and the man's muffled groans of pain.
"Stop hitting me! Stop hitting me!" Hao Jian struggled to get up from the ground and jumped around the room like a hamster.
Even so, each blow still landed squarely on the flesh, and the excruciating pain made the man's screams even more intense.
"Stop!" Only when Hao Jian roared with all his might did Jiang Mi and Liang Lan stop.
Only then did the two of them see the man's face clearly.
As a result of the beatings, the originally thin man's face swelled up like a pig's head, and his whole body was covered in bruises.
"Hmph!" Jiang Mi snorted coldly, "How dare you commit violence in broad daylight!"
She spoke as she scrutinized the man before her.
Hao Jian was as thin as a monkey, with shifty eyes and a sly look; he was clearly one of the village's scoundrels.
Recalling Wang Jie's actions on the day of her rebirth, Jiang Mi became even angrier.
These scoundrels are all bad!
Thinking this, he gripped the stick tightly and struck Hao Jian again.
"You fat pig, how dare you lay a hand on me!" Hao Jian, with a pig-like face and a flushed red face, jumped up and down in the room, cursing Jiang Mi all the while.
This is truly bizarre!
He clearly found Jiang Mi's room, so how did he inexplicably go into the wrong one?
Looking at the fat, ugly pig in front of him, Hao Jian felt nauseous and suddenly regretted his decision. Why did he agree to do this?
This woman was so ugly that he couldn't describe her with the words he knew; it was indescribable, and he simply couldn't bring himself to eat her.
Jiang Mi hated being insulted like that, and burning with rage, she didn't stop wielding the stick.
As a good woman, how could she ignore her family's pleas for help? She should teach the wicked a lesson and make them pay the price.
[Task Reward: Good Woman Value +50, One Bar of Soap]
[Failure Penalty: Good women only receive -100 points, plus 3 electric shocks]
Upon hearing this, Jiang Mi became even more excited.
Because of her obesity, coupled with her diet and exercise during this period, she was stronger than the average woman. With each blow she struck Hao Jian, her anger dissipated a little.
It must be said that this man is a rare tool for venting anger.
Taking this opportunity, Liang Lan comforted Su Yindi.
Jiang Mi only stopped when she got tired of hitting him.
Hao Jian, like a frightened young wife, huddled in a corner, trembling and on the verge of tears.
This isn't a woman at all.
What woman could be as violent and strong as this fat pig, leaving him utterly defenseless?
Men are far superior to women in terms of strength and agility, so in theory they should be one-sidedly dominating.
In reality, however, he was being beaten down by this fat pig.
Before Hao Jian could react, he was struck again with the stick.
Snap—
"Aaaaaah!" A pig-like scream echoed throughout the room.
Hao Jian was on the verge of tears, and complained angrily, "I have already apologized and admitted my mistake, why did you still have to hit me?"
Women's words cannot be trusted.
"The way you looked at me just now scared me so much that I dropped the stick and instinctively swung it at you." Jiang Mi said this nonsense with a straight face; she simply didn't like Hao Jian.
Having vented her anger, Jiang Mi tied Hao Jian up tightly and tossed him haphazardly into a corner of the room.
He then learned the whole story from Su Yindi.
"If this gets out, how am I supposed to live?" Su Yindi wailed.
"Tell me, who sent you here?" Jiang Mi turned to look at Hao Jian, tapping her palm with the stick in her hand intermittently as she asked casually.
Hao Jian trembled, fearing the stick would fall on him again: "It was Yang Liu. Yang Liu sent me. As long as I ruin your reputation, I can have her for one night."
He valued his life more than beautiful women.
willow?
Jiang Mi narrowed her eyes slightly; this woman was truly persistent.
Now that they have left Qingyun Village, they have still attracted Yang Liu's schemes.
Hao Jian was startled by Jiang Mi's imposing aura. Why did he sense a murderous intent emanating from this fat pig?
A woman's heart is like a needle at the bottom of the sea.
"I...I've confessed everything. Can I leave now?" Hao Jian just wanted to get out of this misery as soon as possible.
His intuition told him that if he didn't get out unscathed, things would only get worse, and he might even be driven out of the village.
"Leave?" Jiang Mi raised an eyebrow: "You've almost ruined my third sister-in-law's reputation, and you've also been plotting against me, doing petty theft and other despicable things. You're unforgivable. I'll hand you over to my grandfather to deal with."
If we don't teach these thugs a lesson, they'll just keep doing it again.
Hao Jian shuddered, feeling a sudden darkness engulf him; seeing that Jiang Mi was determined to break the ice, he decided to go all in, coldly threatening, "If this gets out of hand, it won't be good for either of us."
Seeing that Jiang Mi remained silent, Hao Jian continued, "Anyway, I'm a grown man whose reputation is already ruined, but your third sister-in-law is a proper married woman."
