Chapter 50: Take your hands away from Tao, I'll help you.
Today is Lunar New Year's Eve, but this little house is very quiet. There are no lanterns or decorations, not even a single couplet has been put up.
The old man seemed very happy, busying himself with Tao Qingyang and Qin Song. It seemed that with them around, this New Year's Eve was finally more anticipated.
He noticed that Tao Qingyang and the other man's clothes were dirty and they had injuries on their shoulders, so he quickly turned around to find clean clothes.
After the old man left, Qin Song felt an urgent need to urinate and gently put down his chopsticks, saying, "I need to use the restroom."
Tao Qing looked up at her and put down her chopsticks as well. "Come with me."
He led Qin Song through the dilapidated little house and to a sweet osmanthus tree behind it.
"Let's stay here."
Qin Song was shocked. "To use the toilet, in short, I need to go to the toilet."
“The toilet here isn’t suitable for you.” Tao Qingyang said seriously. “No one comes here. I’ll wait for you a short distance away. Call me when you’re done.”
Just as he was about to turn around, Qin Song grabbed him: "Tear off a piece of your undergarment for me."
He looked at her, puzzled.
"You have to wipe yourself after you pee." Qin Song was very calm. Eating, drinking, and relieving oneself are all normal human behaviors, and he didn't feel embarrassed at all.
Tao Qing looked up, her eyes trembling slightly. She pretended to bury her head in tearing her clothes and hurriedly fled from her sight.
After handing her the snow-white cloth, he strode back to the door of the small house.
"Help me." A moment later, a girl's voice came from behind.
Tao Qingyang's steps slowly loosened, and he turned back.
The girl had quietly come up behind him and stood in front of the small wooden door, holding the belt at her waist with one hand.
"Help me tie the belt," Qin Song said matter-of-factly.
Tao Qing looked up and her cheeks flushed.
He stretched out halfway, saying, "Take your hand away, I'll help you."
He was afraid that if he touched her hand, he would lose control and start a fire.
Qin Song obediently let go of her hand, squatted down in front of her, and used his right hand and teeth to tie her belt.
He raised his wrist, and the wide sleeves fell back to his elbows, revealing even more defined muscle lines on his hunched forearms with bulging veins as he tied the belt.
The superior perspective really pleases Qin Song.
He stared silently at his serious face, maliciously wanting to step on his legs, even harder than he had on Li Yu...
She was lost in fantasies. The person in front of her was not very skilled at using their hands and mouth to tie the ribbons. Their hot breath sprayed on her waist, making her so itchy that she couldn't help but bend over.
As a result, this action brought his entire face right up against her lower abdomen.
It's out of control.
Qin Song took a small step back. "It's itchy, hurry up."
"Then... don't move." Tao Qingyang swallowed and continued to help her tie the ribbon.
Qin Song disliked ancient clothes, with their layers upon layers of clothing, so cumbersome. He patiently waited for Qin Song to tie the ribbons.
In the quiet, Qin Song suddenly smelled a perfumed scent that seemed out of place with his surroundings.
The woman had just come from the front yard.
Are they the northern barbarians again? They're really going all out, even targeting the old man to infiltrate the Zhenbei Army's spies.
Just then, the old man entered the main room carrying two sets of clean clothes.
"Okay—" Tao Qingyang had just opened his mouth when Qin Song quickly covered his mouth.
"Shh." Qin Song gestured for silence.
Tao Qing obediently tilted her head back without moving, her sexy Adam's apple and slender neck forming an exceptionally beautiful curve that made one want to bite her.
Qin Song pursed her lips, grabbed his collar, pulled him up, and tugged him slightly toward the door connecting the main hall.
To avoid alerting the enemy, she told him to keep quiet.
He was very tall, and after he stood up, he let her hold onto his clothes, making him bend over like a dog on a leash, and he didn't complain at all.
Silently gazing at her long eyelashes, he listened intently to the sounds outside from his quiet little bedroom.
The old man didn't see anyone and was about to ask when he heard light, hurried footsteps outside the door, the scent of perfume becoming even more pronounced.
"Li Niang? Is it really you?" The old man's voice trembled, and he was about to cry tears of joy.
It turned out that the visitor was named Li Niang, and she knew the old man.
"Father, I'm back."
...Please forgive me, please forgive me, it turns out she is the old man's daughter.
Qin Song then remembered that Tao Qingyang had mentioned that the old man had a daughter in the capital.
Oh, right, she also led Tao Qingyang around like a dog on a leash.
She looked up and saw the person staring straight at her. When their eyes met, he tilted his head and gave her a sly smile.
This man is seducing her all day long.
Qin Song released him and ignored him.
I was about to go out casually, but the sounds outside the door became urgent, so it was clearly not a good time to suddenly appear.
"That's wonderful! Today is New Year's Eve, and we've finally been waiting for you to come back." The old man's voice was very excited.
The woman's voice became urgent again: "Father, there's no time for leisurely conversation. Come with me, I'll take you away from here."
The old man was utterly puzzled: "Leave? Go where? You're already causing enough trouble for General Tao in the capital. If I go, it will only make things difficult for the general and make him dislike you."
The eager Li Niang did not respond immediately.
In the silence, Qin Song couldn't help but look at General Tao again, casting a questioning glance at him.
He closed his eyes and nodded honestly, admitting that the General Tao they were talking about was Tao Qingyang standing before her.
Li Niang remained silent for a moment, then spoke again, her words tinged with shame and resentment, "I did not pledge allegiance to General Tao."
The old man was momentarily surprised. "Then, how did you manage to survive in the capital?"
“I am working for the eldest princess.”
As soon as he uttered those few words, Qin Song clearly sensed a sudden change in Tao Qing's gaze, and a murderous urge was about to burst forth.
Qin Song raised her hand to comfort him, dispelling his idea of revealing himself openly.
She sensed something was wrong. This girl named Li Niang seemed very anxious, not like someone who had come back to visit relatives. It seemed that something difficult had happened.
Moreover, Tao Qingyang's emotions were also very strange, so things were probably not simple.
"The Eldest Princess?" The old man's voice began to tremble. "I remember the Tao family girl saying that the Tao family and the Eldest Princess are sworn enemies. You, how could you..."
Li Niang sighed and said in a deep voice, "Yes, I betrayed General Tao, but I had no choice but to do so, because he... was just a pawn. He had no idea what was going to happen in Yunzhou. Even if the Zhenbei Army won back Danzhou, they would not be able to go back, including Yunzhou. They would all be buried with it."
"What are you saying?" the old man asked incredulously. "General Tao saved your life, how can you say such a thing?"
Li Niang's tone grew increasingly urgent, no longer wanting to explain further: "I know he saved my life, but the fate of Yunzhou and Danzhou is predetermined. It cannot be saved by a mere 100,000 Zhenbei Army, much less by the former Grand Secretary, who is considered a thorn in the side by the imperial family."
Qin Song was startled. What did he mean by fate being predetermined?
She fell into deep thought, when the old man outside the door said again, dazed, "But General Tao..."
Before he could finish speaking, Liniang anxiously dragged him into the inner room, "No buts, hurry up and tidy up the things—"
The woman's voice stopped abruptly as she stepped across the threshold.
Four pairs of eyes, separated by a wall, stared at each other.
Li Niang's face froze. "General Tao... General Tao."
The old man frowned with worry; he had just wanted to remind his daughter that General Tao was at their house.
Tao Qingyang stood coldly inside the low house, his smile appearing very gentle, but the two women in the room knew that his smile was dangerous.
"Uncle Yuan, you may go out now," he calmly instructed.
The old man glanced at Tao Qingyang, then at his daughter, both of whom were the people he trusted most. Without thinking much, he left.
Once the room quieted down, Qin Song was able to get a good look at the girl.
With a beautiful face and light makeup, she looked even more radiant. She had a plump figure and a gentle temperament. Although she wore simple clothes, her every move exuded charm and affection.
She was a stunningly beautiful woman.
"Greetings, General Tao." Li Niang's gaze lingered on the man's unmasked face for a moment, then she used a gesture of bowing to avoid meeting Tao Qingyang's eyes in alarm.
Tao Qingyang didn't reply, his gaze almost piercing through her. A moment later, he suddenly raised his hand.
"You should know the consequences of betraying me."
Despite having injured one hand, Tao Qingyang's movements were still swift and agile. In the blink of an eye, he grabbed Li Niang by the throat and shoved her against the wall.
Qin Song tried to stop him, but his body began to tremble violently. It was that reaction again. The original owner's fear of Tao Qingyang had reappeared, even stronger than before, causing a slight pain in the wound on his shoulder, making him unable to react.
“A good bird chooses a good tree to perch on. I am just trying to find a better path for myself.” Li Niang’s face was flushed red, and she struggled to speak.
“But you chose the wrong person.” Tao Qingyang’s smile turned cold, and his pupils became bloodshot as he tightened his grip on his hand.
Li Niang's face grew increasingly red, the veins on her temples bulging noticeably, and she could barely utter a sound: "Princess, no, bad, person..."
Qin Song suppressed his fear and rushed forward, grabbing Tao Qingyang's wrist with one hand. "Let her go, she'll die."
Tao Qingyang's arms were also trembling, as if he wanted to destroy everything uncontrollably.
She remembered Yun Qian saying that he had almost accidentally killed Tao Yao, which seemed to be true.
Qin Song couldn't stand by and watch him kill people indiscriminately, and this Li Niang seemed to know quite a lot. Since she couldn't use one hand, in desperation, she pressed herself against his waist and bit his shoulder.
If she wasn't mistaken, he liked it when she bit him.
Sure enough, the man stiffened and suddenly loosened his grip.
As the force was released, Li Niang, who was choking, collapsed to her knees, clutching her throat and gasping for breath.
Tao Qing leaned back and began to tremble, then slammed his fist into the small wooden table beside him.
"Thump—"
The already dilapidated wooden table instantly turned into a pile of scrap wood, raising a cloud of dust.
"What happened?" came the old man's trembling voice from outside the door, and footsteps slowly approached.
Liniang's breathing became smoother. She propped herself up and pleaded in a panic, "Linian deserves to die. Please, General Tao, spare my father."
Qin Song trembled even more violently, but reason told her that if she didn't do something, Tao Qingyang would lose control again, so she reached out and grabbed his injured arm.
His wounds are always a weakness; if all else fails, the pain can always make him weaker.
As her fingertips slipped in, Tao Qingyang suddenly tightened his grip, holding her hand tightly in his palm. The force was too great, and the wound on her arm reopened, blood instantly gushing out and flowing down her arm, wetting the spot where their palms were touching.
The wet and sticky sensation made Qin Song panic. She had long suspected that Tao Qingyang was not as carefree and easygoing as he appeared, but seeing him in such a frenzied state made her feel helpless.
Looking up, he saw that the man's eyes were bloodshot, staring straight into Qin Song's eyes, his breathing rapid and forceful.
In that instant of eye contact, Qin Song made her decision. She stood on tiptoe, tilted her head back, and pressed her lips to Qin Song's, their teeth touching.
Tao Qingyang barely hesitated, ignoring the pain from his wound, he lowered his head and leaned closer, capturing her lips and tongue in his mouth, responding fiercely.
The hand on Qin Song's waist tightened more and more, almost pressing her into his body.
As the old man drew closer to the door, Li Niang was momentarily stunned by what she saw. After a moment, she came to her senses, scrambled to her feet, rushed out the door, and stopped the old man who was walking unsteadily towards her. "It's alright, Dad. Don't take anything, come with me first."
The footsteps faded into the distance, leaving only scattered pieces of wood and a man and woman embracing tightly and kissing passionately in the room.
Tao Qingyang seemed to have no intention of controlling himself anymore. He lowered his hands, parted her slender legs, pulled her into his arms, kissed her all the way, and placed her on the couch in the corner before pressing down on her.
