Chapter 43 Requirements
The next day, the sun rose as usual, the sounds of fighting ceased, and the early morning sunlight illuminated the darkness, as if bringing a new life.
Lin Luo was awakened by the sunlight coming in through the window, and she slowly opened her eyes.
"Awake." Xiao Chen kissed Lin Luo's forehead.
"Yeah." Her voice was soft, revealing an unconscious innocence.
"It's the last day of the Tiantian Arena Tournament, let's wait and see." Xiao Chen said.
Lin Luo nodded. It was the last day, but he felt a little uncomfortable after seeing what was going on.
The two of them quickly took care of themselves and walked towards the ring area. The scene was bustling with cheers, exclamations, and encouragement. Lin Luo was also infected by this lively atmosphere.
In the front row, the leaders of each base sat in order. When they saw Xiao Chen coming, they all greeted each other.
"Mr. Chen, your Southern Base is quite powerful!" The speaker was a slightly plump middle-aged man, his voice revealing unconcealable envy.
"Yes, Master Chen, it seems that you will definitely be the first place today." said another tall and thin man.
"Thank you! I've seen so many talented people at other bases. They're all good prospects."
The heads of the two bases were originally feeling jealous, but when they heard this, they all laughed happily and began to flatter each other humbly.
Lin Luo sat next to Xiao Chen, not interested in their official rhetoric, and focused on the arena.
Suddenly, someone took the empty seat next to me.
"Lolo."
Lin Luo heard someone calling her, turned around and saw it was Chu Xuan. She was confused and looked around, and seeing that no one was paying attention, she approached Chu Xuan like a thief and asked.
"Why did you come out like this? Aren't you afraid of being discovered?"
Chu Xuan looked at Lin Luo who was right in front of him and smelled the sweet fragrance coming from her. She looked so adorable, as if she was afraid of being discovered.
Chu Xuan chuckled, deliberately teasing her, and carefully leaned closer and said, "Ah? I forgot, what should I do?"
Lin Luo became anxious when she heard this, and she pushed Chu Xuan's hand.
"Then leave now while no one notices you."
Seeing that Chu Xuan didn't move and was still smiling smugly, Lin Luo realized belatedly that he had been tricked.
She was furious, glared at her, and turned her head away from him.
Chu Xuan realized that he had gone too far and quickly apologized.
"Okay, I know I was wrong. Don't be angry. Watch out for wrinkles."
Seeing that Chu Xuan apologized for once, Lin Luo went down the stairs.
"Lolo, you still owe me a request."
Lin Luo remembered that he had indeed promised him one thing, nodded and asked.
"Have you decided what you want me to do? Just tell me. I'll do whatever I can."
"Have a meal with me, just the two of us." Chu Xuan stared straight into Lin Luo's eyes, his heart slightly tightening, fearing that she would be disgusted and refuse.
Lin Luo looked at Chu Xuan in surprise. Is it that simple?
"Are you sure?"
"Sure."
"Okay, you decide the time."
"I'll pick you up at 7pm."
"good."
"What are you two talking about?" Xiao Chen's voice suddenly sounded.
Chu Xuan didn't answer. He nodded to Xiao Chen, then stood up and left.
Lin Luo felt a little nervous when asked this question, and she said weakly.
"That..."
"Which one?" The voice was already dangerous.
Lin Luo closed his eyes and said with a heroic look as if he was going to die.
"Chu Xuan asked me to have dinner with him tonight."
