Chapter 97 You, Go Home Soon
Even though he hadn't squeezed her so hard she couldn't breathe, Shang Ruyi felt a slight relaxation throughout her body. However, this relaxation wasn't a comfortable feeling; instead, it made her feel weak all over, as if she were about to collapse in front of him at any moment.
But of course she can't fall down.
At the very least, I can't fall down now, otherwise it would be too embarrassing.
Thinking of this, Shang Ruyi composed herself, nodded to the girl, and gave a proper smile befitting the young mistress of the Yuwen family: "If there's nothing else, then I'll be going now."
After saying that, he turned around and started to walk out.
Just as I reached the door, I heard Yuwen Ye's deep voice behind me—
"Shang Ruyi".
"...!"
Her steps faltered.
Although she didn't want to stop, at this moment, she seemed to be listening to him involuntarily.
Shang Ruyi stopped and looked back at him.
Yuwen Ye's expression remained cold and stern, as if being "caught" like this did not cause him any emotional fluctuation. He looked at Shang Ruyi calmly, and after a while, he said, "You should go home early."
Shang Ruyi smiled and said, "I should be saying that to you, two—"
She paused for a moment, then glanced at the girl again.
After thinking for a moment, he still said, "Second Brother."
After saying that, she turned around, parted the beaded curtain, and walked away with heavy steps.

With a tightness in her chest, Shang Ruyi held onto that breath she couldn't exhale until she went downstairs, walked out of the Tinghe Tower, and faced the bustling crowd before her. Only then did she finally let out a long sigh of relief.
However, it didn't make me feel much better.
She glanced back upstairs; the window of the private room on the second floor was closed. Perhaps her presence had made them more vigilant, lest they be seen. Shang Ruyi smiled, but when she turned back again, she realized that she was the one in trouble.
She had already sent Tushe'er home with her uncle and aunt, and the carriage had already left. What was she to do?
This place is far from the Shen residence, and even further from the Yuwen residence.
There was no other way but to walk out into the street and wait for a carriage shop to hire a temporary carriage to take me home.
And so she set off on her journey.
As I walked, I kept thinking about everything that had just happened, and then about everything that had happened in the past few days. My thoughts were a jumbled mess. When I finally pulled myself out of the chaos and looked around, I realized that I seemed to be lost and had come to the head of an unknown stone bridge.
To make matters worse, the weather turned against us and started to drizzle.
Her clothes were already thin, and soon they were half-soaked by the drizzle. A gust of cold wind made her shiver, and she couldn't help but smile bitterly, muttering, "When it rains, it pours."
Just then, a horse-drawn carriage emerged from the rain.
Shang Ruyi lowered her head and took two steps back to the side of the road, intending to avoid it, but unexpectedly, the carriage drove straight up to her and stopped.
A pair of exquisite silk shoes appeared before my eyes.
The silk shoes, with a base of snow-white silk and silver thread, were adorned with several pearls, jade rings, and even the fine feathers of white doves. They were so luxurious and exquisite that they seemed to be something that only immortals in a celestial palace would wear. But at this moment, they were walking on bluestone slabs that had accumulated some rainwater, and they were soiled after only two or three steps.
Then, the feet stopped in front of her.
An umbrella was also placed over her head.
Shang Ruyi frowned slightly. When she looked up, she saw a young man in blue holding an umbrella, smiling at her.
