Chapter 938: Only One Step Away from Freedom

Chapter 938: Only One Step Away from Freedom

Jing Zhui shook off the pursuers and put Ye Xiaoman down.

He told Ye Xiaoman: "Hide in my tomb for a while."

Ye Xiaoman asked: "You are safe now, can't you let me go first?"

Jing Zhui said, "I'll prepare an antidote for you."

Ye Xiaoman immediately smiled and said, "Let's go."

Jing Zhui took out one storage bag after another from the void and threw them back to Ye Xiaoman. These bags contained all of Ye Xiaoman's wealth that was taken away by the demons when she participated in the competition. Ye Xiaoman was so happy that she squeaked.

"How did you get it back to me just by pulling it out? What kind of advanced magic weapon is this?"

"It's just telekinesis." Jing Zhui spread his palm in front of Ye Xiaoman: "Magic Ring."

Ye Xiaoman was puzzled. She had previously swapped Jing Zhui's treasures, and Jing Zhui hadn't said anything, so she assumed he hadn't noticed. It turned out he knew.

Ye Xiaoman dug out Jing Zhui's ring from her storage bag and returned it to him, unhappily demanding, "Give me back the one I gave you before."

Jing Zhui said, "You made it for me yourself, and I'm still wearing it. This authentic piece is still in your safekeeping."

Ye Xiaoman didn't expect that someone would not want the priceless original work and insisted on having her rough handicraft. She just felt that Jing Zhuiren had been resurrected but his brain had not yet recovered.

She watched with her own eyes as Jing Zhui activated the plate ring with a series of complex spells, and just like the time in the ghost realm, a starry path appeared before them in the void.

Jing Zhui kept his word and returned the ring to Ye Xiaoman.

The two of them walked side by side onto the path made up of stars. When the passage was about to close, a dark shadow broke through the gap.

Ye Xiaoman felt the small urn pendant on her wrist jump, and she shouted happily, "Uncle Deng!"

Under Jing Zhui's speechless gaze, Zhu Chuideng's figure appeared beside Ye Xiaoman. Zhu Chuideng first looked at Ye Xiaoman and responded with a smile.

Then he looked at Jing Zhui.

"You are too reckless." He criticized Jing Zhui disapprovingly.

Jing Zhui pressed his hands into the indentations on the two massive tomb doors. "If it were you, waiting for years for resurrection with only one step left, could you hold back?"

The tomb door opened with a bang after recognizing its owner. Ye Xiaoman looked behind Jing Zhui and followed him into the Demon God's Tomb.

The tomb chamber was similar to what Ye Xiaoman had seen when she had contacted Jing Zhui before. It was magnificent and covered a vast area. Because Jing Zhui had been resurrected, all the formations and rules that had suppressed him before were gone. The only thing left on the empty ground was a gorgeous sarcophagus and a magic mirror facing the coffin on the distant wall.

The magic mirror was previously a magic weapon to suppress Jing Zhui, but now it has become a useless piece of furniture.

No one could discover this small world. After Jing Zhui returned home, the whole demon relaxed. He touched his arm and then his leg, as if to confirm that he had really regained his body and resurrected, with a smile on his lips.

Zhu Chuideng stood aside helplessly with his arms folded, wondering what to do next.

Ye Xiaoman hurriedly flew her sword around the entire tomb, and finally landed in front of Jing Zhui in disbelief:

"You don't even have any burial objects."

"When the demons buried you, they didn't even bury anything good with you."

Jing Zhui said: "We demons don't care about those material possessions."

Ye Xiaoman was excited: "I care."

"You have no property at all, what can you give me as a reward?"

Ye Xiaoman looked like she was desperately trying to pull out the thorns and chase the wool, and Zhu Chuideng laughed at the sight.

Jing Zhui really didn't like being mocked in person by his mortal enemy. He frowned and said, "I can give you my armor."

"Oh," Ye Xiaoman had been coveting his armor for a long time, "then take it off, what else do you have?"

Jing Zhui raised his head proudly and said, "I can also give you the Sword of Life for safekeeping."

"Tsk, what use is there for me having your life sword? You'll ask me for it when you need to fight." Ye Xiaoman said, "I want something that can be sold for money."

Jing Zhui fell silent.

Ye Xiaoman pointed and said, "What's the point of you trying so hard to conquer the world? You didn't save any property. You want to get married but you don't even have the money. No one is willing to marry you, you know."

Ye Xiaoman muttered to herself, pulled out a large sack from her storage bag, and pulled out all the dragon weeds in front of Jing Zhui's coffin.

Jing Zhui was inexplicably upset that Ye Xiaoman said he didn't even have a wife. He tucked his hands into his sleeves and ordered her, "Open my pillow."

Upon hearing this, Ye Xiaoman turned around to look at Jing Zhui and immediately climbed into his coffin. His coffin was very large, more than enough for several people to sleep in. There was a black jade box inside, which was the magic box that Jing Zhui usually used as a pillow.

Jing Zhui removed the restriction from a distance. Ye Xiaoman opened the lid and saw many tokens inside. She picked up a piece and looked at it. It was a very heavy jade material with a treasure map engraved on the front and a number on the back, which read "Treasure Land No. 192 of Tianzi".

Ye Xiaoman was surprised: "What is this?"

Jing Zhui said, "Treasure. After our defeat, Lu Qi and the others hid the resources for our demon clan, waiting to use them as military pay when we make a comeback."

Ye Xiaoman laughed so hard that she couldn't close her mouth. "You actually still have some hidden money."

After saying that, she put the entire black jade box into her storage bag.

"Then these are my hard work fees."

Jing Zhui looked at her smiling face and said, "I'll give it all to you."

Zhu Chuideng looked at Jing Zhui with a little surprise. Jing Zhui actually gave all his capital for a comeback to Ye Xiaoman. It seemed that he had no intention of causing trouble anymore.

He felt relieved, but then speechless, and finally laughed softly.

He saw that Ye Xiaoman had almost completely plundered Jing Zhui's territory, "Jing Zhui has cured Xiaoman of the poison, so it's time for us to leave."

Ye Xiaoman was overwhelmed by the sudden wealth. She sat cross-legged in Jing Zhui's coffin and confidently stretched out her hand to him: "Antidote."

"Okay, here you go."

After Jing Zhui finished speaking, he disappeared from where he was and reappeared next to Ye Xiaoman in a flash.

Ye Xiaoman was puzzled, "Aren't you going to prepare the antidote?"

Jing Zhui lay down in front of Ye Xiaoman leisurely. Ye Xiaoman took his pillow away, so he rested his head on his arm. "There's no cure."

Ye Xiaoman: "Ah?"

Jing Zhui said, "As you speculated before, I am the antidote. You can take my blood, or you can keep kissing me and eating my saliva until the poison is resolved."

Ye Xiaoman was depressed. As expected, when Jing Zhui poisoned the puppets, he never thought of giving them freedom. If she had not been so smart and figured out the loophole in his poison, she would probably have been working like a slave until her death.

But she just thought it was too slow and didn't want to work hard to pursue her husband for a whole year.

Thinking of this, Ye Xiaoman took out a knife and wanted to pierce Jing Zhui's chest to get blood.

Jing Zhui Bukui, Ye Xiaoman has no conscience towards him at all.

He told her truthfully: "Even if you drink my blood, you will need to drink it every day without interruption for a year or two."
