Chapter 57 I Only Tell You

Yang Jia was so excited that he didn't even care about the business trip. "Let's go, let's go take a look!"

Zhang Zitao's team was also celebrating. Clearly, this was a huge breakthrough for them, too. Everyone was smiling, dancing with excitement, some even scattering materials around the room.

Qin Yan was about to knock on the door, but Yang Jia stopped her. She just stood there, watching them. There were players and NPCs among them, but at that moment, they were laughing and joking together, making it difficult to tell them apart from their appearance.

There were certainly various reasons for this. For example, the researchers were not competitive, and their long working experience contributed to their harmonious relationship. However, it was undeniable that this was exactly what Yang Jia wanted: NPCs and players living happily... well, harmoniously.

What's the point of playing games? Why not sit down together, eat something, drink some tea, and talk about topics that interest us all?

Hmm... So, besides research in various disciplines, other occupations related to food, drink, and entertainment seem like they could also be developed. This game's biggest selling point is its realism, so I'm sure many players will find it enjoyable. Also, I wonder if there's a market for developing tourism within the game...

Yang Jia thought further and further and had already planned a business empire for his future.

If these can be developed, perhaps one's goal can be achieved.

Of course, wherever people are, there's bound to be no conflict. Furthermore, the system's various malicious designs seem designed to force everyone in this direction. However, Yang Jia felt that this kind of war should be controllable. If it were kept within a certain level and scope, and didn't affect the vast majority of people living and working peacefully here, she would accept it.

Well, let’s set this as my goal for now, Yang Jia thought with a smile.

She had previously considered making the game world more accessible to both players and NPCs, but hadn't yet come up with a specific plan. But now that the opportunity had arrived, these ideas came naturally, effortlessly.

Although she doesn't know if she can do it, or how much she can do, she will try her best.

As soon as she finished her thought, the noise in the room filled her ears again. Yang Jia coughed and then raised her hand to knock on the door.

The people in the room turned around and saw her, and immediately rushed over. The sight of more than a dozen people rushing towards her was still a bit scary. Yang Jia took a step back and raised her hand to stop them, "Stop!"

Everyone paused for a moment, and Yang Jia breathed a sigh of relief. But the next moment, the dozen or so people looked at each other, and suddenly, in sync, they rushed towards her at an even faster speed, sweeping her into the house.

In the excitement, someone was the first to grab Yang Jia's arm, and then more people grabbed her hands and feet and started playing a game of throwing people.

Yang Jia: My little heart was frightened.jpg

When she was finally let down, her heartbeat was erratic. Zhang Zitao saw that her face was pale and was afraid that she would be angry, so he quickly said, "President, don't be angry. Everyone in this room has been thrown like this before, and no one is immune."

Yang Jia immediately calmed down. It is true that happiness is shared with others rather than enjoyed alone. He cannot be the only one enjoying this kind of treatment!

"I'm not angry," she said, smiling and waving her hands. "I heard you created a platform that can connect to the main game system, so I came to take a look. How about it? Can you show me?"

"Of course!" Zhang Zitao's expression brightened considerably at the mention of his profession. He led Yang Jia out to another room. It was clear that while they were too excited to resist celebrating, they still remembered to protect their achievements and didn't go crazy right away.

As soon as he entered the room, Yang Jia was stunned.

This room before her was incredibly familiar. The moment she discovered herself in the gaming world was a part-time job distributing flyers. There was also a room like this at her then-employed workplace, Feitian Travel Agency. It was there that Yang Jia obtained her ID card.

It turned out to be a port of a gaming system.

A huge glass wall divides the room into two halves. On the other side of the glass wall are various machines placed side by side, with lights flashing and making slight humming sounds. They are obviously in operation.

On this side, there are several computers.

Zhang Zitao led Yang Jia to the computer in the middle and logged into the system platform as an administrator. He then demonstrated various functions to Yang Jia, explaining, "I've modeled the guild structure on this, creating an administrator role and three sub-administrators. There are also several accounts with only partial functions enabled, to facilitate future distribution to management. The functions aren't perfect yet, so we'll have a meeting to discuss and make revisions."

Yang Jia read it over, nodded repeatedly, and asked him, "Where is the personal subsystem?"

Zhang Zitao switched to another computer and logged in with a regular account. Compared to the administrator's interface, this one was noticeably simpler, yet it still had all the necessary features. After the demonstration, Zhang Zitao said, "We were supposed to have portable personal terminals, but that's still under discussion and hasn't been finalized yet."

"why is that?"

"The biggest problem is how to identify whether the user is a guild member, and how to ensure that this thing will not be cracked after falling into the hands of the enemy." Zhang Zitao said.

Yang Jia didn't expect them to be so thoughtful. After a moment's thought, he said, "Let's do as you think. Don't be too anxious."

As she was leaving, she was still curious and asked Zhang Zitao, "How on earth did you manage to connect to the game system? It's incredible."

Zhang Zitao scratched his head, a troubled expression on his face. "President, I'm only telling you this, don't tell anyone else. I didn't do anything. I just completed the port, and then when I tried to connect to the network, it somehow connected."

"You mean the network in the game?" Yang Jia asked in surprise. A lot of thoughts popped up in his mind in an instant. If that was true, it would be a huge discovery.

Zhang Zitao nodded.

Yang Jia took a deep breath and patted his shoulder. "You're right. Don't tell anyone about this except the two of us."

Zhang Zitao nodded vigorously.

After returning to the room where everyone was, Yang Jia encouraged everyone again before leaving.

After coming out of the building, Qin Yan asked her if she wanted to check out other projects. Yang Jia quickly shook her head and said, "Not today," she said to Qin Yan, "Get ready and go on a business trip with me."

"Business trip? What for?" Qin Yan was very curious.

Yang Jia said, "Let's go to Bailu City."

"Oh, Li Bai's place, right?" As a businessman, Qin Yan was naturally well-informed. He immediately became excited upon hearing this. "So, our base is going to expand?"

"They're talking about forming an alliance. Of course, how that will pan out depends on your performance," Yang Jia said. "If you use your eloquence, you might be able to convince them to join the Nirvana Guild. After all, we still have a huge advantage right now."

Of course, due to his stance, Yang Jia felt that convincing the other party might not be easy, but he had to give it a try.

Qin Yan was not modest either. He patted his chest and promised, "Just wait and see! I'll take care of it."

Yang Jia smiled, not taking it seriously. Success depended not on Qin Yan's eloquence but on Li Bai's attitude. And Li Bai had to be responsible for the people behind her, so she couldn't act recklessly.

But the facts prove that no one should guess what Li Bai is thinking, because no matter how much you guess, you will never understand.

Underground passages are now the only way to travel between cities. Exactly how they work remains a mystery to Yang Jia and the players. They're called underground tunnels, but after experiencing them firsthand, Yang Jia believes they're more like teleportation arrays in traditional games, albeit with a different method and longer travel time.

A few hours later, the two stepped on the ground of Bailu City.

Li Bai sent someone to pick them up. On the way to the City Lord's Mansion, Yang Jia observed the city and found it completely different from Phoenix City, especially the architectural style. The difference was quite significant. This was probably intentional during the design process, to give players a sense of freshness.

Furthermore, the atmosphere of the two cities was different. Bailu City was... bustling, with pedestrians leisurely and relaxed, chatting and joking. The roads along the river were especially crowded. And Phoenix City... Yang Jia thought about it and realized he couldn't remember what Phoenix City was like before. But it was undoubtedly busy now, yet within that busyness there was a well-organized atmosphere. Because everyone had a very specific goal to strive for, they walked with a sense of swiftness and spoke with a concise and powerful voice.

This feeling was not obvious when I was in Phoenix, but now with the comparison, it is much clearer.

Yang Jia leaned against the car window and smiled. That was the city where she lived and the city she had built.

The layout and structure of the city lord's mansion in the two cities are naturally different, but the same thing is that there is a small square in front of the city lord's bedroom, and Li Bai is waiting for Yang Jia here.

When Yang Jia arrived, her first glance was naturally towards the center. Sure enough, there was a stone sculpture there as well. But as she got closer, she realized it wasn't a stone sculpture, but a model that encompassed the entire territory of Bailu City.

Li Bai was standing next to the model. Yang Jia turned to look at her and asked, "Can't you put it away?"
