Chapter 120 [Will you keep me in my dream? 】

How to write an excellent script?

First, world view.

To set the tone of a world, is it a world without demons or a world with demons? If it is the latter, what level of force should be set, and what is the maximum that one person can achieve? An army, a city, a world, or even the universe?

Second, the protagonist.

Set up the protagonist's goals, divided into short-term goals, medium-term goals, and long-term goals. This will advance the direction of the script.

What are the pleasure points and evolutionary systems of the protagonist's short-term goals? What core contradictions and characteristics of the times are involved in the protagonist's mid-term goals? What kind of sublimation and world secrets are involved in the protagonist's long-term goals? What kind of actions can the protagonist take to achieve his goals? Will he have a smooth journey or will he face many setbacks? Will he be the center of attention or will he be content with himself?

This will lead to companions who support the protagonist in achieving his goals and enemies who oppose the protagonist in achieving his goals. The level of the protagonist will determine the level of these people.

Third, the tone.

Drama, comedy, tragedy.

Fourth, the points of contradiction and core relationship.

During the development of the script, the core relationship established by the protagonist collides with the long-term goal, which will lead to what kind of integration and contradiction points. If the expected climax only exists in one fragment, it will be gradually connected by the long-term core relationship.

Fifth, rhythm.

Opening → Understanding the background → Setting up the characters → Conflict → Resolving or prolonging the conflict → Laying out hidden dangers → Inserting the characters’ daily lives or emotional lines → Small climax → Situation suddenly changes and turns into a big turn → Retracting hidden dangers or foreshadowing → Lowest point → Dawn comes → Big climax → Reversal of solving the problem → A large number of characters gather or die → Closing and solving the mystery → Ending

If the story is long enough, you can insert a cycle of "prelude - climax - prelude - climax". It can be a character highlight or revealing a secret.

Sixth, key figures.

In a script, there are both companions who assist the protagonist and enemies who oppose the protagonist.

There are four types of companions: high cohesion and high freedom, high cohesion but low freedom, low cohesion but high freedom, and low cohesion and low freedom.

There are many types of enemies, measured by initiative and hostility. For example, if a person joins the enemy to help the protagonist, this person has high initiative and low hostility. For example, if a betrayer around the protagonist, this person has high initiative and high hostility.

A comprehensive script where every type of character exists and can add more detailed elements of measurement.

Among them, the most important is the existence of the mastermind behind the scenes.

In a normal story, the protagonist will face a mastermind who stands in the way. This person may not be very hostile or proactive, but for various reasons, such as simply being powerful or just wanting to build a new world order, he or she may not want to clash with the protagonist at all, and thus become the final enemy in the protagonist's process of achieving his or her goal.

This depends on the second point - the level of the protagonist's long-term goals, which determines the level of the mastermind behind the scenes.

The mastermind behind the scenes can be a person, a mechanism, or even a tragedy of the times or a social order.

However, what is more in line with the public's taste and the World Tree's taste is that the mastermind behind the scenes is preferably a human. Otherwise, how can the public vent their anger that has been observed all the way? How can the protagonist eliminate a tragedy of the times? Of course, eliminating a human is more intuitive and more satisfying.

In an adventure story, if the mastermind behind the scenes never shows up and no one knows who is behind the plot in the end, it is probably not a good story.

In the space-time recording body that I observe, I cannot tolerate the invisibility of the mastermind behind the scenes.

The mastermind behind this must emerge.

In particular, Rovatha is my favorite, most hodgepodge of space-time records. I will not tolerate such defects.

So, I will definitely...

Appear.

——The Supreme Lord Tossorius, "How to Write an Excellent Script"

"We need to go back to the past and bring out the mastermind behind the Disciple Game—the Supreme Lord." Su Liujin put one hand on his waist and said, "I want to see Him with my own eyes and know who He is."

Amid the churning waves, he had a smile on his face, with an air of confidence that he would win.

Su Mingan was surprised when he heard this: "Can you travel through time and space?"

Su Liujin's face flashed with embarrassment, and he shook his head: "No. We are not going to rewrite history, but to memories."

He opened his mouth, as if he wanted to continue explaining, but forgot the words. He quickly picked up the mask of the Fun Devil in his hand and read the sentence engraved on the mask like a primary school student:

"I won the championship in the 0th Disciple Game. I must have met the mastermind behind the scenes, the Supreme Lord. But after the Disciple Game, my memory was wiped by the Supreme Lord. I don't remember the image of the Supreme Lord anymore."

"At that time, I finally knew the image of the Supreme Lord, and I certainly would not sit there and wait for my memory to be wiped. I must have left a backup plan and hid the image of the Supreme Lord in the Zeroth Disciple Game, perhaps in a corner of the game."

"Once the current savior - that is, you - triggers the death mechanism of the Disciple Game, it will trigger my backup plan. Let me go back to the past with you and find the image of the Supreme Lord that I buried."

Su Liujin opened the mahogany box in his hand, and inside lay a glass-like photo: "This is the negative I left behind with the power of time. It can help you and me enter the image of the past."

After Su Liujin finished reading such a long string, his golden eyes looked at Su Mingan nervously, as if he was afraid that Su Mingan didn't understand.
