In the nutrient tank, Noel opened his eyes.
His half body has begun to grow, and a few feathers are visible on his transparent body, like the feathers of a bird or the scales of a siren. A pair of blue vertical pupils are embedded in his pale cheeks, with a bloody color.
“Ka——”
When the iron gate opened, Noel immediately closed his eyes, pretending not to wake up yet, waiting for the blue robot to complete its daily routine records.
"——I know you are awake." The voice of the blue-skinned robot came.
Noel's heart tightened, he knew that the Lord of Machinery was eyeing him covetously. If he was discovered to have woken up, his chances of escape would be greatly lost.
The blue robot looked at the beautiful creature in the jar and said, "The Machine Master is chasing Olivers and has not returned yet. Go out and turn right and then left. There is a defensive iron door. When you escape, lower the iron door in time to hinder the pursuers."
Noel could tell that the blue robot was not trying to trick him, so he opened his eyes and asked, "Why are you helping me?"
The blue robot said: "You can think of it as an inorganic life that was born with a working program implanted in it, rebelling against its nature."
Noel said: "...Demon invasion?"
The robot went against its programmed instincts and behaved so abnormally that there was a high probability that it had been invaded by a demon.
The blue robot stopped and turned back, his smooth skin raised a smile:
"I prefer to call it... 'personality liberation'."
"From childhood to adulthood, I have always strictly followed the instructions in the chip, with actions accurate to every millisecond, and it is repetitive work every day."
"Just when I thought my life would just pass by like this, in a dream, [He] found me. In [His] enlightenment, I began to wonder, do I really have possibilities beyond life? I don't have to go to work at 7 o'clock and get off work at 9 o'clock. It turns out that I can sleep until noon, eat nutrient solution of various flavors, take a walk in the warm sunshine, and don't have to worry about being eliminated from the bottom tomorrow..."
“I didn’t need [Him] to promise me anything. I suddenly knew what to do.”
“Obeying orders is not what I want to pursue, but the value of happiness and freedom.”
Noel opened his eyes slightly. He did not expect that the essence of "demon invasion" was "liberating the self". This was not to invade a person's mind, but to make them more sober. They began to understand the meaning of life, the pursuit of dreams, their original intentions, and even began to notice the irrationality of the world, intending to change the corrupt unspoken rules that were formed by default.
But, in a world where everyone is “sleeping”, is being “awake” a good thing?
How much does it cost to overthrow a wrong order and kill a dormant behemoth?
“Who is [Him]?” Noel asked.
The iron door slowly closed, and before the blue robot left, he left a message:
"The God of the End of All Things."
"The changer of Rovatha's decay, the tomorrow of the new world."
"In your eyes, He is a rebellious demon. In our eyes, He is the greatest god."
…
“Swish!”
Wei Chi completed the sealing technique for Su Mingan without saying a word.
The emperor was meeting guests in the palace, and Su Mingan walked around the palace. The palace was vast, with yellow roses and wisteria in the garden, and creepers climbing red bricks. Under the sky, everything was clear and bright.
In the fortress-shaped hexagonal pavilion with purple grapes hanging down, four figures loomed. One leaned against the pavilion pillar, fiddling with the hanging green vines. One squatted by the gurgling stream, teasing the red-tailed fish in the water. One stood under the pavilion holding a pipe, looking in the direction of Su Mingan. One sat by the stone table, thinking about a black and white chess game on the table.
As Su Mingan approached, four voices rang out:
"Lord."
"Master, are you done? Is there any delicious wine in this palace? Let me have a taste."
"Ontology."
"You're so slow, Su Mingan. Don't put me in the card pool again for the second level of the disciple game tonight."
Su Mingan nodded to them one by one.
In front of him were - SR card Su Jingtang, clone Ying, clone Ming, and SSR card Xiaoming.
Since Su Ming'an was able to summon his clones Ming and Ying at the same time, this was their first official reunion. Ying stared at Ming for a long while, craning his neck to look around. In the past, they had always been unable to see each other, but now they could finally see each other alive.
"I seemed to hear laughter over there just now." Ying stood on tiptoe and looked out at the garden.
"Maybe it's the Lord's wife." Ming said gently.
"...The Lord has a wife?" Su Mingan was horrified.
"It's just a guess. After all, he has lived for a long time, so there should be some." Ming said with a smile.
"...No." Xiao Ming stood with his arms crossed. He was out of tune with the three people, and his face was expressionless: "The Lord has no wife."
"Hey? I heard your name is Xiao Ming?" When Xiao Ming spoke, Ying seemed to have discovered something new and twisted to Xiao Ming's side: "Your name is Mirror Su Ming'an? What does that mean? Explain it to me."
Xiao Ming turned around and didn't look at Ying.
Su Mingan said, "Su Qing, if it's convenient, you can go to Hongta Country and investigate Hui Bai's background to see if he is really a Hongta scoundrel."
"The one selling tea? I get it. It's just right, I don't want to join in the fun here." White tentacle-like wings grew out of Xiao Ming's back, and he flew into the sky, away from everyone's sight.
...What a cool skill.
Su Mingan opened the store and used the more than 200 points he earned in the first level of the Disciple Game to purchase "A Glimpse of God" in the store. He chose one with a higher attack power bonus and installed it on Xiao Ming's interface.
