Chapter 209: "How to See the Skylight"
“Whether it’s adventure players, secondary professional players, or casual players… they are all an indispensable part of this game.
All of us are in a world where we are being pushed forward, working hard to build the tower in our hearts. We are all unique masterpieces of the world and the protagonists in our own life drama - the existence of each of us has meaning.
This is true for leaders who are at the forefront, beacons of hope for everyone, and light seekers who keep moving forward for their beliefs. I have never denied the value of anyone, because all of us are meaningful..."
On the glowing screen, the young man in the white suit is the focus of the shot. He spreads his hands, with just the right smile on his face, and his words touch people's hearts.
He was the focus of everyone's attention, as if he was born to stand in the brightest light and speak words that could be heard by everyone.
Su Mingan stared at the dazzling figure on the screen and slightly looked away.
"Hmm?" Noel's hand was still stretched out, with a puzzled look in his eyes like a little animal: "What? What did you just say?"
He looked outside and saw that the amusement park had completely stopped operating. All lights had disappeared and the rides looked like ferocious beasts sleeping in the darkness.
Except for the dimly lit street lights beside the road, there was nothing special about the rest of the place.
"Let me confirm this first." Su Ming'an did not continue his previous words, but confirmed a new topic: "The new world you are talking about means embracing higher dimensions?"
"Yes." Noel retracted his gaze from the window. "No matter what our purpose is, no matter where we will end up... I hope to be your helper in this process. We cannot refuse everything just because we want to maintain some dignity."
"Like investing in a higher dimension?"
"As it should be." Noel looked at him: "I have studied the history of mankind - along the way, mankind has always been good at breaking the old and welcoming the new.
Even if some changes seem too rapid in some eras, almost to the point of tearing the world apart, but after going through the long river of time, we look back and find that those things that seem to bring about extensive destruction... often become the beginning of a new era.
Since we can’t resist, we might as well go along with it. As long as we can turn what we passively endure into our own, then in the end, we will be the ones who benefit…”
Noel's eyes were too serious when he said this.
While Su Mingan was confirming his gaze, he was also paying attention to the changes in Su Mingan's expression.
Noel is also placing bets.
He was ranked second in the world, and his life story should have been exposed, but he was always known as the most mysterious player. His background was unknown, his relatives were unknown, and even his past on Zhaixing was unknown.
He is also screening when looking for a long-term teammate.
So he came to the door.
From deliberately shouting Su Mingan's name, making nonsensical invitations, to proposing ideas... during this period, he had been testing in various ways.
Noel seemed to be building blocks, one by one, from low to high, gradually bringing the topic to the point where Su Mingan could not back down, wanting to know Su Mingan's final thoughts.
Now, it's time to put on the final brick.
Noel's hand rested on the triangular red building block.
His eyes remained steady, as if he would not refute whatever Su Mingan said.
Two people who are currently at the top of the world, in a small, unknown Ferris wheel compartment, confirm each other's ideas.
"First Player, what do you think of my suggestion? Does it meet your needs?"
Noel's eyes remained unchanged: "I need your direct answer, tell me, I can help you..."
Su Mingan thought for a moment, looked at him, and nodded.
Noel's hand trembled slightly, and then, rows of building blocks collapsed completely with his movements, making a series of crisp collision sounds.
There was a hint of surprise in his eyes, like fireworks exploding, and he didn't even bother to pick up the fallen building blocks.
"Do you agree?" he asked as if whispering.
"I cannot agree with that." Su Mingan replied in a low voice.
Noel blinked.
Su Mingan continued, "I agree with what you said about [embracing the higher dimension], but what I cannot agree with is the concept you just mentioned."
"Ah... it doesn't matter." Noel suddenly laughed, seeming to be very happy: "All I want is for you to promise me. As for the words I just said to persuade you... it's not important."
He picked up the fallen blocks one by one and piled them together like a hamster collecting things.
Su Mingan looked at Noel, who seemed very happy, and thought in his mind.
He didn't choose to refuse.
From any perspective, he shouldn't refuse.
Even though Noel had just said something like "abandon humanity and embrace higher dimensions", he couldn't refuse under the nose of the organizer.
Although he didn't know what the "evolution opportunity" Noel mentioned was, he needed to agree to it now.
If achieving a higher dimension can increase his chances of passing the level perfectly, then he shouldn't refuse. His tolerance for error is too low, and he can't give up the opportunity to become stronger just because of his pride that "as a human being, I must never bow down to higher-dimensional creatures."
This kind of pride is not self-respect, but stupidity.
Like an egg hitting a stone, in the game set by the organizer, it is meaningless to try to go against the opponent on the surface.
