Chapter 65: "When the great way is practiced, the world is shared by all."



As if he was afraid of touching upon something heavy, he asked tentatively, "You said... Si Que died?"

Su Mingan nodded, walked around the gems and jades on the ground, and came to two meters in front of the Lord.

Su Mingan thought that the Lord would sing and dance, but after the Lord finished laughing, he fell silent, just silent.

"Where is his body?" the Lord said after a moment.

"It's gone." Su Ming'an said. Si Que finally broke apart in front of his eyes and disappeared under the blue sky and white clouds.

"The ashes were scattered." The Lord of the World turned his head and his eyes fell on the empty space. The enemy he had been obsessed with for a lifetime just disappeared like that, without any signs or sense of accomplishment, just like a feather passing by his window.

He thought it would be an epic and heroic rebellion, in which he would raise his sword against the most terrifying demon.

"Did he sing a song at the end?" asked the Lord.

"Yes." Su Mingan was a little surprised.

"That song... he sang it to me before." The Lord buried his face in his hands.

“It sounds terrible.”

"The lyrics are so arrogant, who do you think you are..."

"The song is actually called "Singing the Magpie Song", which is totally unpoetic and destroys the beauty..."
