Chapter 47 On Matters of the Bed

Chapter 47 On Matters of the Bed

Lu Shangyan's body was still weak, and he couldn't withstand such teasing. He immediately arched his back, his legs began to tremble uncontrollably, and he gripped Pei Yumin's arm tightly. His eyes began to well up with tears again.

Pei Yumin, an "honest man," had never seen such a tempting scene before. He immediately moved his wrist again, wanting to continue what he had been doing, but this time Lu Shangyan had already grabbed his wrist in advance and dodged before he could exert any force.

His face turned even redder, but this red was very different from usual. In a daze, Pei Yumin seemed to see the first time they were in bed, when Lu Shangyan grabbed his wrist, crying and saying "no."

Pei Yumin was about to lose his mind again. Even with Lu Shangyan holding his hand, he still wouldn't behave. Lu Shangyan was afraid that something terrible might really happen if this continued, so he had no choice but to temporarily distance himself from him, sit on a chair and recite his lessons to relieve the heat in his body and, incidentally, to let the lingering excitement in a certain part of his mind subside quickly.

When he was halfway through reciting, Pei Yumin sat down next to him. His expression had returned to normal, as if he wasn't the one who had just done that kind of thing.

Lu Shangyan inwardly berated himself for his lack of self-control, but the moment he lowered his eyelids, he saw that Pei Yumin's erection was even larger than his own; Pei Yumin was just better at pretending...

He took a deep breath and had just calmed down when Pei Yumin snuggled up to him again, pressing close to him. The classroom had no air conditioning, and Lu Shangyan was terribly hot, especially where they were pressed together, it felt like they were on fire.

What's infuriating is that every time he moved away a little, Pei Yumin would move closer, until he had nowhere left to retreat.

He could only frown and put on an impatient, fierce look.

But it had no intimidating power whatsoever; it was more like a kitten showing its claws, or rather, its claws with clipped nails. Pei Yumin felt itchy and wanted to grab it and suck on it for a while.

But Pei Yumin also knew they couldn't do it here. Lu Shangyan was shy, and if he wanted to smoke, he could only do it at home.

So he started to discuss, "Can we go back instead of staying here?"

Lu Shangyan knew what he meant, and was immediately at a loss, poking his belly to indicate: "No."

Pei Yumin also clicked the button, "Okay."

"Do you remember when I took you to the hospital for a check-up before school started? I secretly asked the doctor about your condition, and he told me that it was okay to have the procedure, but I had to be careful."

Lu Shangyan gritted his teeth, looking at him with disbelief. He really didn't know how he had the nerve to ask such a thing!

Pei Yumin saw through his thoughts and explained, "We're getting married soon, we're practically an old married couple, what's there to be embarrassed about?"

Lu Shangyan was a little anxious: "Who said I was going to marry you?"

"No, who said we're an old married couple?"

Pei Yumin grabbed his hand and gestured for him to look at the pair of plain silver rings, each set with a tiny diamond. They looked exceptionally delicate on their hands.

"You've already given me a ring, so getting married is just a matter of time, isn't it? Don't be shy, I understand you."

Lu Shangyan grabbed his finger: "I want to take it back now."

Pei Yumin quickly withdrew his hand and placed it against his chest: "No, it's mine now, it's become part of my very being. If you forcibly take it away, I'll die!"

As he spoke, he even wore a serious expression of lingering fear.

Lu Shangyan snorted and turned his head away, ignoring him.

Pei Yumin began to persuade again: "I promise I'll be gentle, okay? Look at how you were just now, you must have wanted it too. You're so young, it's not good for your health to keep holding it in."

Lu Shangyan was extremely agitated and at a loss. After a long while, he managed to stammer out, "The child doesn't want to."

“What’s there to say about whether he’s willing or not?” Pei Yumin placed her hand on his slightly protruding belly and stroked it several times. It was soft and felt wonderful to the touch. “He just said he was willing.”

Lu Shangyan still frowned, and solemnly denied his words: "Your perception is inaccurate. He told me he didn't want to."

Seeing him like this, Pei Yumin could only manage to say, "So cute, Lu Shangyan, my wife."

-

Lu Shangyan simply couldn't bear to be alone with him in the same space anymore, otherwise things would develop in unpredictable directions.

Fortunately, he had a competition in the afternoon, so Pei Yumin finally restrained himself. However, when it was time for him to sign in and enter the venue, Pei Yumin suddenly covered his mouth and clenched his fist to cheer him on.

He looked as if he were about to participate in some extremely dangerous challenge, rather than some school sports meet that had almost no purpose.

While Lu Shangyan was waiting in line, Pei Yumin quietly slipped outside the red line. Taking advantage of his age, he pretended to be a teacher, and no one came up to stop him. He stood behind Lu Shangyan and held up a small fan for him, constantly telling him to be careful later.

Lu Shangyan urged him to hurry up and leave: "There are so many people watching from the stands, it's embarrassing for you to be like this."

Pei Yumin said, "They are just envying the fairy-tale love between you and me."

As he spoke, he leaned over the red line and whispered in Lu Shangyan's ear, "I saw that the shot put the student in front of you was carrying was quite heavy. You have to be careful when you throw it. If you can't throw it, that's fine, so you don't use too much force and cause the baby to come out prematurely."

Lu Shangyan rolled his eyes at him, his face full of disgust: "He's not even five months pregnant! He can't give birth!"

Pei Yumin said, "What if? I saw on the news that some people don't know they're pregnant and think they're constipated, so they strain too hard and the baby comes out."

"Your body has special characteristics, so you must be even more careful!"

Lu Shangyan was at a loss for words. Just then, his name was called. He stood up and said to Pei Yumin, "Don't worry, I'll beat you up after the competition. You'll see how badly I beat you and then you'll know whether I need to be careful or not."

Perhaps it was because Lu Shangyan was holding back his anger, coupled with his usual part-time jobs and thorough training, that he ended up getting second place.

Pei Yumin was so excited that he wanted to pick him up and spin him around, but Lu Shangyan nimbly dodged him. Right now, he just wanted to get away from this crazy person and show that he wasn't familiar with Pei Yumin.

That evening, after returning home, Lu Shangyan gave him a stern warning, telling him that he must behave himself the next day, or Pei Yumin would not be allowed to visit him at school again.

Pei Yumin sat obediently and readily agreed, but the next day when he was running the 200 meters, Pei Yumin started again: "I thought of more than a dozen cheering words last night. I will send them to the podium when you are competing and let them cheer you on with the loudspeaker."

"Yesterday was too rushed and I didn't have time to prepare. You must have what others have, and you must be better than them."

"Lu Shangyan, you are an eagle on the field, a sword released from its bow. Sprint toward the finish line, and I will always be waiting for you there."

"Shangshang Baby is the strongest, Shangshang Baby is the best, Shangshang Baby..."

......

Lu Shangyan simply didn't have the courage to read through all the encouraging messages. He crumpled them all up and stuffed them into his pocket. He didn't even dare to throw them in the trash can, for fear that Pei Yumin would rummage through it.

Pei Yumin tried to grab it again, but Lu Shangyan stopped him: "Two hundred meters, it will be over soon, we won't even have time for the announcer to pick up this note."

Pei Yumin stopped trying to grab it: "It's okay, I've memorized it all, I'll dictate it to them later."

Lu Shangyan: "You dare! If you dare to go, I'll never forgive you!"

Pei Yumin said, "You're too shy. You're so outstanding, you should let everyone know."

Lu Shangyan said, "I'm sorry, I don't need it."

Pei Yumin pinched his cheek and sighed again, "You have such thin skin, no wonder you're so delicate."

Jian Guo's 5,000-meter race was also scheduled for the morning. It was cooler in the morning, and he was warming up. He would be next after the 200-meter race.

He saw Lu Shangyan and Pei Yumin as soon as he arrived at the playground. The more he looked, the more uncomfortable he felt, especially when he thought that Pei Yumin was Tang Suichen's good brother. He was now hostile to everyone around Tang Suichen!

Except for Lu Shangyan, who has always been innocent in his mind, he was even afraid that Pei Yumin would play with Lu Shangyan's feelings!

He ran over and gave Pei Yumin a disdainful look.

He chuckled softly, watching Jian Guo pull Lu Shangyan away.

He turned back, picked up his bag, and stood outside the finish line waiting for Lu Shangyan.

Lu Shangyan has recently started to have low blood sugar again. Coupled with the crowded conditions and poor air circulation, his steps were a bit unsteady. Fortunately, he still managed to finish the 200-meter race, although his performance was not ideal, but it wasn't particularly bad either.

The guy in first place had already raised his hands high, ready to receive cheers, but Pei Yumin quickly floated past him, like a fairy godmother, took out a bottle of mineral water from her bag, opened it, and handed it to Lu Shangyan's lips. She then started fanning him and wiping away the sweat that hadn't even appeared yet.

The guy looked bewildered, but couldn't stand it anymore, and reminded him, "I'm in first place, and he's in sixth."

Pei Yumin said, "What does it have to do with me that you're running the first checkpoint?"

"He's my boyfriend, so of course I'll only take care of him."

Lu Shangyan was feeling dizzy and was frantically chugging water when he heard this, and he spat out a mouthful of water. Pei Yumin looked at him with a worried expression: "Oh my god, did you choke? Are you alright?"

Lu Shangyan pushed his hand away and quickly floated away.

Seeing that he looked unwell, Pei Yumin lost interest in teasing him. "Are you alright now? How about I take you home first? There's some mung bean porridge my mom made in the fridge. It'll be perfect for cooling you down when we get back."

Lu Shangyan sat on the steps and shook his head. From now on, he planned not to say a word and to treat Pei Yumin as if he were invisible.

Until he saw Jian Guo run past him in circles, until she became unsteady, biting her lower lip and crying.

He thought Jian Guo would give up, but to his surprise, he ran the whole course in a daze. On the last lap, he burst into tears and broke down crying.

Lu Shangyan knew that he was still heartbroken over Tang Suichen's situation. After all, according to Jian Guo, Tang Suichen treated him extremely well, would make him happy, give him everything he wanted, and the best things in life. It could be said that he indulged him without any limits.

But unexpectedly, this person never loved him from the very beginning...

Lu Shangyan jumped down from the steps and stood at the finish line. Xia Li had also finished her volunteer work and was already waiting there when Lu Shangyan arrived.

Jian Guo slowly made his way over the key point. In this weather, it was already quite an achievement that he, with his small frame, hadn't collapsed halfway.

He was so dizzy that after crossing the finish line, he collapsed onto Lu Shangyan: "When I started running the first lap, I swore that I would let my body know who was in charge. I exhausted myself and forced myself to never think about him again."

Lu Shangyan almost lost his grip on him, but Pei Yumin reacted quickly and braced his waist from behind, preventing him from falling to the ground.

But before he could thank Pei Yumin, he rushed off to check on Jian Guo's condition.

After sending Jian Guo back to her dormitory to rest, he noticed that Pei Yumin's face was ashen; he was angry, and had been angry for who knows how long.

He felt baffled and couldn't think of anything that might make him angry, until Jian Guo turned over and shouted at Lu Shangyan again: "Introduce me to a boyfriend."

Lu Shangyan finally caught a glimpse of Pei Yumin's possible anger.

He only came out after Jian Guo had fallen asleep from exhaustion, and had time to explain to Pei Yumin, "Jian Guo and I are just friends."

Pei Yumin took a deep breath: "I know."

Lu Shangyan was now confused: "You know why you're still angry?"

Pei Yumin stopped in his tracks: "That's not what I'm angry about, it's that you don't take care of your health."

“I didn’t mean to be careless,” Lu Shangyan explained. “I signed up for 200 meters, not 2,000 meters.”

Pei Yumin took a step forward, reached out and pinched his waist, pressing his thumb on his lower abdomen: "I'm talking about him. You knew you weren't feeling well today, but when Jian Guo pounced on you, you still went to catch him. If I hadn't caught you, you would have fallen to the ground, you know?"

"Didn't you take a single word the doctor said the other day to heart? Well, I'm calling them over to my house today and repeating it to you until you learn to be careful and put yourself first."

Lu Shangyan felt guilty after hearing what he said, so he reached out and tugged at the hem of his clothes: "I didn't think much about it at the time."

"Besides, there were only Xia Li and me in front of him at the time. Xia Li is a girl, so he could only pounce on me."

Pei Yumin said, "What about me?"

Lu Shangyan looked at him: "You were standing behind me at the time."

Pei Yumin wasn't buying it. She was so angry that her teeth were grinding together, and she turned her head away, refusing to talk to him.

Lu Shangyan sighed and said softly, "I'm sorry."

Pei Yumin's heart softened instantly. She didn't care about anything else and hugged him tightly for a while, saying, "If there's a next time, I won't let you off the hook."

Just then, a guy came up the stairs. It was the guy who came in first place in the 200-meter race.

He had just experienced being bombarded by "cannonballs" not long ago. He went to wash his face and finally calmed down a bit. He wanted to go back to his dormitory to calm down, but then he was attacked a second time!

He met Pei Yumin's gaze, now unsure whether to leave or stay, so embarrassed he was practically digging his toes into the ground. In the end, he forced a smile and greeted him, "You two seem quite affectionate."

Pei Yumin nodded: "Yes, we're getting married soon."

Lu Shangyan's face was all scrunched up; he wanted to explain but was at a loss for words.

A puff of white smoke rose from that guy's head.

Good grief, three attacks!

He leaned against the wall and walked away with difficulty.

Pei Yumin exclaimed sincerely, "This person's physical fitness is not as good as yours. He's exhausted after running 200 meters. How did he manage to come in first?"

"Is your school's sports meet championship really that valuable? Is it worth using performance-enhancing drugs for?"

Lu Shangyan turned and left: "It's obvious he was scared by you!"

"I scared him? How could that be!" Pei Yumin chased after him: "I'm so handsome, ever since kindergarten, I've had every advantage of this face. Everyone knows how handsome I am, and as I grew up, I became even more devastatingly handsome. You have no idea, when I was your age, I relied on this face..."

The school sports meet lasted for five days. Lu Shangyan didn't go for the last two days because he had already signed in enough times.

Furthermore, since only the top student from each college needs to compete against other colleges, there's even less reason for him to go. He didn't advance, Jian Guo was last, and Xia Li was a volunteer who was always running around doing odd jobs, so she didn't need his help at all.

The hall for the awards ceremony on the last day had a limited capacity, so he didn't want to go and just stayed home, taking the opportunity to clean the house one last time.

Unexpectedly, while he was cleaning, he received a photo from Xia Li.

[Candied Chestnut: I thought your boyfriend was just ordinary rich, but I never imagined he was Chengyu's only successor!]

He clicked on the photo, and Pei Yumin was standing on the stage, speaking eloquently. He looked aloof, noble, and distant, completely different from his usual demeanor when he was around him.

[Roasted Chestnuts: My friend from the photography club took a high-definition video; I'll ask him for it later and forward it to you.]

[Roasted Chestnuts: He looked incredibly handsome today!]

[Candied Chestnut: Can I cling to your leg from now on? Mrs. President~]

These words swirled in Lu Shangyan's mind, and he was unable to put them back together.

He remembered that Pei Yumin had indeed asked him to help choose a suit earlier that day, but he assumed it was for an important meeting and didn't think much of it.

Before leaving, Pei Yumin asked him several times if he was going to school and if they could go together. He thought Pei Yumin was just making excuses about going the same way even when it wasn't.

Unexpectedly, he was actually going to Z University. Moreover, he had heard Xia Li say that Cheng Yu had donated a lot of money to Z University. After the sports meet, someone would come to the school to give a speech. The school attached great importance to it and started preparing several days in advance. Even Xia Li, a member of a small club, was dragged over to help for several days.

I never expected that this person would be Pei Yumin!

He had only guessed that Pei Yumin's family was wealthy, but he thought it was just ordinary wealth.

But now it seems that Pei Yumin's statement that his whole family were rich was not a lie. He just had never wanted to believe that someone like him would get to know people from several different social classes, let alone be with them.

He wiped his face and saw the ring in his palm.

He had previously thought that with a million dollars, and if he worked harder, he wouldn't be too far behind Pei Yumin. He thought that if he ran harder, he might be able to catch up with Pei Yumin.

But now it seems that even if he ran forward for several lifetimes, he might not be able to catch up with this huge gap.

He took the ring off and put it back in the bedside table drawer.

The growing gap made him panic again, and perhaps also feel inferior.

When Pei Yumin returned, Lu Shangyan had just received a video from Xia Li.

He didn't even look at it, and immediately closed the phone screen.

Pei Yumin said as he took off his coat, "It's such a hassle. I already told you I don't want to go, but my dad still insists that I go. He says it's your school and it would be very meaningful for me to go."

He drank half a glass of water before his throat finally felt a little better: "However, because you weren't sitting in the audience this afternoon, I haven't had a chance to figure out the meaning yet."

Lu Shangyan didn't reply. He went into the kitchen and brought out the noodles he had prepared for over an hour, pushing the bowl that looked obviously better in front of Pei Yumin.

Pei Yumin instantly came to his senses: "Okay, now I'm starting to understand what it means."

At this time, Pei Yumin did not notice anything amiss until he picked Lu Shangyan up from get off work that evening, when he realized that Lu Shangyan seemed to have something on his mind.

He tried asking several times, but Lu Shangyan always gave vague answers. He could tolerate it for a day or two, but he couldn't take it anymore on the third day.

As Lu Shangyan got out of the car, she grabbed his hand and said, "Let's talk tonight. I need to know why you've become like this lately."

"I haven't been wearing the ring, is it my fault?"

Lu Shangyan didn't dare to look him in the eye, but if he didn't answer, the man would act as if he wouldn't let him leave. Now, whenever he was with Pei Yumin, he felt agitated. He couldn't find the best solution to the problem: "I want to be needed by you."

Pei Yumin leaned forward: "What did you say?"

Lu Shangyan took the opportunity to push him away, opened the car door and got out: "Give me a little more time, I will figure it out."

After saying that, he practically fled, only slowing down once he entered the hotel lobby. Fortunately, Pei Yumin didn't chase after him like before, otherwise he really...

He sighed, and was just about to change into his work clothes to get ready for work when he accidentally bumped into someone.

Hearing Pei Yumin's lesson, he instinctively protected his stomach this time. When he came to his senses, the first thing he saw was the bright gold watch on the other person's wrist.

Then, looking up, I could see the man's face clearly. He was a little chubby, with dark skin, and looked like someone I didn't want to mess with.

The other party shouted in dissatisfaction, "Are you blind?! How could you hit someone on such a wide road!"

Lu Shangyan could only lower his head and apologize, but the man was still dissatisfied. Fortunately, the tall woman next to him stopped him, and he suppressed his anger and put his arm around the woman's waist as they entered the elevator.

Less than half an hour later, someone called the front desk and asked him to bring the takeout up.

Li Xiaorui went to the bathroom. Lu Shangyan noted down the room number, ran over, and only when he opened the door did he realize that it was that unapproachable man who wanted him to bring the things in.

Lu Shangyan could only try to avoid the clothes, toilet paper, and other messy things on the ground, and put the bag on the table next to him.

He left in a hurry within two minutes.

He spent the whole night in a daze, still unable to figure out how to bring it up with Pei Yumin. Pei Yumin had told him everything a long time ago, but he hadn't understood it. Now he was being so stubborn, which seemed a bit pretentious.

But he couldn't pretend he knew nothing...

Just when she finally made it off work and was preparing to avoid Pei Yumin for another day, that formidable man rushed over wearing only a bath towel.

She grabbed Lu Shangyan's wrist: "You stole something and tried to run away! You've been watching my watch ever since I walked in. You went in to deliver something and took the opportunity to steal it, didn't you!"

Lu Shangyan quickly shook his head: "I haven't seen your things."

The man looked him up and down, noticing the bulge in his stomach, and said, "You've been hiding it in your waistband, haven't you! Lift up your shirt so I can see!"
