Chapter 19 Chapter 19 But he doesn't need it anymore
After Song Yuqiao left, the air in the villa seemed to become lighter and more relaxed. Song Jianan ate alone and felt that the food smelled even better.
After dinner, he planned to go out to find a part-time job. After repeated requests from Butler Xue, he had to agree to let the driver pick him up.
After the driver took him to school, he stood at the school gate to confirm that the driver had driven away. Then he did not enter the school but walked towards a busy street near the school.
He interviewed several companies in the afternoon but still couldn't find a suitable part-time job.
He sat on a bench by the roadside, feeling depressed and useless. Once the boss refused, he didn't dare to fight for himself at all.
After being dejected for a while, he cheered up.
If you don’t find it this time, look for it next time. You will always find the right one if you look more.
After figuring it out, he walked back and saw a familiar milk tea brand. His eyes lit up and he walked in and bought three cups.
He drank one cup for himself and gave the remaining two cups to Jin Yu and Xie Mao.
Xie Mao was perceptive, and Jin Yu was also in a relationship, so they both noticed the faint and ambiguous kiss mark on Song Jianan's neck.
Xie Mao frowned, with a hint of worry in his eyes.
Jin Yu teased: "Are you in love?"
Song Jianan looked confused. Jin Yu pointed at his neck. His face changed instantly. He subconsciously raised his hand to cover it, then raised it and put it down again.
She lowered her head uncomfortably and took a sip of milk tea. She complained in her heart that Song Yuqiao was too strong and it hadn't subsided even after two days. She said awkwardly, "No, no."
Jin Yu blinked, realizing that there might be something inconvenient to say. She sipped her milk tea and changed the subject: "Don't you have classes today?"
Song Jianan bit his straw and said, "I'm looking for a part-time job."
Xie Mao looked at him with a hint of doubt in his eyes.
Jin Yu was surprised. "Isn't it almost the end of the semester? Besides, you have an internship next semester. Aren't you looking for one? I heard the environment and treatment are pretty bad if you wait for the school to assign an internship. It's better to find one yourself."
Xie Mao nodded in agreement: "It seems that your major can enter the school laboratory. You can ask your direct seniors."
Song Jianan was stunned. Only after they reminded him did he remember this matter. "Okay, let me ask. How about you guys? Have you found an internship?"
Upon asking, I found out that Xie Mao was actually an invisible big boss who sometimes took some private jobs online. Recently, he was lucky enough to help a rich lady catch evidence of her cunning husband's extremely secret infidelity. The lady recommended him to a well-known Internet company and he could stay in the company directly after graduation.
Jin Yu also found a good internship these two days.
After hearing this, Song Jianan looked at the two with sparkling eyes and praised them sincerely: "You are amazing."
He was the only one who forgot something as important as internship.
The internship was related to his graduation project and had become the most important thing at the moment. He had no time to look for a part-time job and was searching for relevant information on the Internet on the way back to Xihe Garden.
Passing the Yunjiang Bridge, he saw the tall and eye-catching Song Building from afar through the car window. An idea flashed through his mind, and he returned to Xihe Garden. Sure enough, he did not see Song Yuqiao, and dinner was already ready.
He asked the butler for a lunch box, packed the food, carried the lunch box, got back into the car, and headed for the Song Group.
At this time, most of Song's employees had left work, with only a few working overtime.
The front desk clerk is one of those people who leaves work on time.
Song Jianan didn't need to report to his superiors through the front desk, but was stopped by security.
He told the security guard his reason. Seeing that he had an unusual aura but a strange face, he was half-believing and half-doubting, and still didn't dare to let him go up.
Song Jianan didn't want to alarm Song Yuqiao, but now he had to call him.
When the call was connected, Song Jianan called out "Brother".
Song Yuqiao hummed on the phone, and it was impossible to tell what his mood was.
Song Jianan glanced at the security guard, who looked speechless and impatient, just waiting for him to hang up the phone and send him away.
He turned his eyes away, his body sideways, his voice unconsciously became much softer, and he explained to Song Yuqiao haltingly.
After listening to this, Song Yuqiao said he understood and hung up the phone.
The security guard waved his hand and sent the man away: "Alright, alright, get out of here." Every day, countless people pretend to be Mr. Song's relatives in order to sneak in, and the young man in front of him obviously had worse acting skills.
Song Jianan didn't know how Song Yuqiao would handle it, and he was unsure. In a panic, he blurted out: "He said he would pick me up later."
The security guard was amused by him. "You said Mr. Song would come to pick you up personally, and I said Mr. Song calls me dad. Come on, don't waste your time here."
Song Jianan bit his lip. He didn't want to be kicked out like this, but he didn't know how to convince the security guard that Song Yuqiao would allow him in.
He was driven out, turning his head to look inside the company. His watery, dark eyes showed stubbornness and pleading, as well as a hint of unspeakable depression. The security guard's heart suddenly softened and he couldn't bear to make things too difficult for him.
The security guard pointed to the reception area and said, "Forget it, just wait here. If Mr. Song doesn't come down by 6:30, you can go back."
The security guard returned to his post and stared at the reception area from a distance.
Song Jianan waited anxiously, twisting his hands. After a while, he rested his hands on his legs, biting his nails and staring at the elevator entrance nervously.
I felt annoyed.
What nonsense was he talking about with the security guard just now? He had no idea what Song Yuqiao meant.
Song Yuqiao neither told him to go back nor told him to go up.
When Song Jianan's eyes fell on the lunch box, he couldn't help feeling regretful.
If a lover wants to please his financial sponsor, sending him food is probably the most unpleasant way.
Song Yuqiao didn't need this meal, so he might as well be more obedient in bed.
Song Jianan was lost in thought, his two delicate eyebrows furrowed again and again.
A pair of shiny black, hand-made custom leather shoes appeared in his sight.
He blinked, realized something, looked up, and said with some joy in his voice: "Brother."
Song Yuqiao picked up the lunch box, his eyebrows and eyes were cold, and he glanced at it lightly, like a flurry of snow under the sun, slightly cool, but not cold.
He said, "Let's go."
Song Jianan walked beside him, observing him calmly. Based on his experience and self-judgment, he concluded that Song Yuqiao should no longer be angry. He immediately felt relieved, and the chaotic emotions just now disappeared. His steps became much lighter.
The security guard stared in amazement as the two figures disappeared around the corner. He never expected that the young man was actually Mr. Song's younger brother.
He was glad that he didn't completely offend anyone, and quickly told his colleagues in the department group to avoid other colleagues stopping people like he did next time.
Entering the elevator, in the enclosed space, the cold aura surrounding Alpha was particularly obvious.
Song Jianan hunched his shoulders, his eyes fixed on the digital screen that kept jumping and changing, showing the floor, his mind wandering.
Song Yuqiao lowered his eyes and saw that his eyelashes were thick and curled, moving from time to time like a small fan, making others feel itchy.
His gaze was slightly off.
He asked, "Has Jiajia eaten yet?"
Song Jianan shook his head: "Not yet, I'll go back and eat later."
When I arrived at the office, I opened the lunch box and was greeted by the aroma of warm food.
Song Yuqiao said, "Let's eat together."
Song Jianan was actually a little hungry, but he held back and rejected his kindness: "Brother, you eat, I'm not hungry yet."
He forced his eyes away from the lunch box and tried hard to restrain his saliva from swallowing.
A chopstick of shredded beef was brought to his mouth.
He was stunned for a moment and looked at Song Yuqiao.
Song Yuqiao said, "Eat."
Song Jianan couldn't resist the temptation, opened his mouth, and the fresh fragrance spread on the tip of his tongue. He squinted his eyes in satisfaction.
He picked up the spoon and scooped a spoonful for Song Yuqiao in return.
Blinking her bright black eyes, she said, "Brother, you eat too."
Song Yuqiao remained calm and withdrew his gaze, "Okay."
The two of them shared their individual dinners, taking turns to eat, and a faint warmth floated in the office.
Outside the window, the night was completely dark, and the neon lights of the bustling city slowly lit up.
Song Yuqiao took out a work card from the desk drawer and said, "Next time you come to see me, just swipe the card. No one will dare to stop you."
Song Jianan pursed his lips and returned it to him, "Brother, I can't take such an important thing."
Song Yuqiao pushed it back and said, "Take it."
Song Jianan lowered his eyes, a few strands of chestnut hair falling across his forehead, covering his smooth forehead. The white light shone down from above his head, and his thick eyelashes cast a small shadow. It was hard to see the expression in his eyes, but he only heard him say softly, "Okay."
Song Yuqiao frowned slightly, looked over, and saw Song Jianan looking up and smiling, "Thank you, brother."
The hand holding the work card was so tight that the knuckles turned white.
Song Yuqiao didn't notice and nodded, "You play for a while, I'll be done soon and go home with you."
Song Jianan was browsing his phone, but his thoughts were still a little wandering.
He had only been to the Song Building three times, and the treatment he received was completely different each time.
He stared at the work card casually placed on the table, thinking that in Song Yuqiao's heart, lover was a much more important identity than brother.
The first time he came to the Song Corporation to look for Song Yuqiao was when Song Yuqiao had just returned to China to take over the Song Corporation. Although he was not stopped, Song Yuqiao strictly forbade him to come to him again without any reason.
That was the first time he truly realized that he and Song Yuqiao could never go back to the past.
Now, he came to Song's again as a lover, but was given a work card that allowed him to come and go freely.
But he doesn't need this card anymore.
It was as if only Song Jianan many years ago had his Mr. Siri.
He doesn't need it now.
The message that popped up on his phone brought him back to his senses.
He clicked on the message and his brows gradually furrowed.
He had completely forgotten about this assignment. He only found out after checking the group messages that he had been assigned the task of presenting a PPT on stage next Monday morning, and he needed to prepare a 3 to 5 minute speech.
What was supposed to be the easiest part turned out to be a bit difficult for Song Jianan.
He hasn't finished going through the textbook for the first time yet and is not familiar with it. He casually flipped through the PPT and saw some knowledge points that looked familiar but he couldn't remember them.
But he had to familiarize himself with the teaching materials and write the lecture notes as quickly as possible within three days.
He leaned on the sofa, holding his phone but playing with it boredly. He scratched his hair and then remembered to find a senior in the list to ask about internships. After looking through the list, he found that the only direct senior he had contacted more recently was Wen Xue.
He breathed a sigh of relief. Fortunately, he could ask Senior Sister Wen Xue. Senior Sister Wen Xue was very warm and welcoming, and there was no pressure in communicating with her.
The senior student replied quickly, saying that what Xie Mao and Jin Yu said was true. She suggested that if he wanted to pursue further studies in the future, he should contact the teacher as soon as possible to reserve a place, as he would probably have to wait for the school to assign a place next semester. If he had no plans to pursue further studies, he should also start looking for potential companies to submit his resume to, as this internship would become an important part of his first resume when entering society.
The senior student also suggested that he try to choose a large company and never go to a flower shop or other places that deal with flowers and plants for internship, otherwise he would most likely have to do this job for the rest of his life.
If Song Jianan was still the young master of the Song family, he might go to a flower shop, or muster up the courage to open a flower shop with his pocket money.
But he is not.
Although he likes dealing with flowers and plants, he cares more about whether he can make a lot of money in the future.
He thought back to his three years of college experience, but found that he could not write a resume that matched an internship at a large company.
When Song Yuqiao finished his work, he looked up and saw Song Jianan with a wrinkled face. He walked closer and asked, "What's wrong?"
Song Jianan felt a little annoyed and wanted to complain about how difficult the homework and final exams were, and how annoying the internship was, but the person in front of him was Song Yuqiao, not just anyone.
He opened his lips, then shook his head and said sullenly, "Nothing."
Song Yuqiao stared at him with his icy eyes, as if he could see through him at a glance.
Song Jianan avoided his sight, stood up and picked up the lunch box, "Brother, if you are done, let's go."
Song Yuqiao held his wrist, lowered his handsome eyebrows, and looked over solemnly, "Jia Jia, tell your brother what happened."
He reached out and smoothed the wrinkles between Song Jianan's eyebrows, "Jia Jia, don't you believe what your brother said?"
-Whatever you want or want to do, I can satisfy you.
Song Jianan was stunned, but he didn't need Song Yuqiao to do anything for him. He was just a little discouraged and blamed himself for not working hard enough and not being smart enough, as he had a hard time dealing with such small things.
What would happen if he told Song Yuqiao about such a trivial matter? Would Song Yuqiao help him with his homework? Or arrange an internship for him?
But Song Yuqiao just stared at him quietly.
He was in a trance for a moment.
When he came back to his senses, he realized that he had actually complained to Song Yuqiao.
After listening to him, Song Yuqiao was not impatient. Instead, he wiped away the scattered tears from the corners of his eyes with his fingertips and said in a slightly cold voice, "I'll help Jiajia."
