Chapter 1067: Gods' Covenant Meeting

The outside world is facing countless collapses and reorganizations, and this process may continue for a long time. The gods who are "imprisoned" in a corner by the [Truth] are also not idle and have begun their second game.

After the destruction of [Truth], [Justice (Order)] appeared at the first moment. The sound of order that resounded throughout the universe overwhelmed the noise of the world's destruction and once again pulled the gods into a bright and orderly starry sky.

The gods sat opposite each other, with seven seats missing: [Prosperity], [Depravity], [Corruption], [Truth], [War], [Foolishness] and [Time] were all gone.

The remaining nine are the voters of today's Covenant of the Gods meeting, and today's topic is very simple, which is how to distribute the authority of "Truth"!

Even though the universe is experiencing its end, [Justice (Order)] is meticulously implementing the agreements of [Convention], as if the destruction of the world has nothing to do with it.

Indeed, when the [Convention] was first formulated, it only stipulated that the divine authority would be protected from being lost, but it did not specify that the universe would be protected from collapse. Therefore, at this moment, although [Justice (Order)] hindered the gods from "saving the world", it was still "order".

The scale that represents the most just balance in the universe first glanced at the [Iron Law of Order] on the [Order] position at the table, and then hummed:

"Truth destroyed his throne, leaving behind his authority, and gave his final decree, saying:

Truth lies in seeking, in accumulation, and in specialization. Therefore, I will not allow other gods to share my authority, but will give all authority to one god. Whoever is willing to take over my authority will attend the meeting and obtain it with a majority of votes.

Therefore, we are convening a meeting of the Covenant of Gods today. Please start voting."

As soon as the words fell, Youshen immediately cast his vote.

I saw a star shining above [Birth]'s head, and the thick [God Pillar] whipped the starry sky, saying anxiously:

"quick--

child--"

Apparently, someone was in a hurry to get off work to pick up their kids.

But as long as there is a workplace, there will be many frustrations. Overtime has become the norm, and no one is allowed to leave before the meeting is over.

The gods looked at [Birth] with different expressions. It was definitely not possible to profit by voting for themselves at this time. The final decree of [Truth] was obtained by whoever received more than half of the votes. There were 9 participants present, so at least 5 votes were required.

But getting five votes is extremely difficult. For the gods present, it is no different from personally gifting the authority of "Truth" to others, so things are far from that simple.

Before the gods had discussed it, simply voting for themselves was a waste of time and meaningless, so the gods present were speechless about Birth's impatience.

You say He doesn't want authority, but He came to attend the meeting.

But if you say He wants it, He doesn't care about strategy at all.

Fortunately, everyone has long been accustomed to the attitude of this "Big Brother". They focus on participating in everything, neither being dull nor absent. As for other things, they don't care at all, and are as stable as the invariant in the "Truth" experiment.

But other gods thought much more.

[Fraud] took in all the gods' expressions, glanced at the frowning god beside him, and said happily:

“Yo, are you worried about your followers?

What's the point of worrying? A mortal cannot participate in the Covenant of the Gods."

There was a yin and yang energy in his words, and anyone who heard them knew what he meant.

After all, it was [Fraud] who brought the clown to the last convention, so this statement is more like a message than a yin-yang move.

But [Destiny]'s eyes flickered, and he said nothing.

To be honest, He is not only worried about believers, but also about the world.

The established has not yet become a true established, and the world should not be destroyed here, but He is shackled by the [Covenant] and does not have the ability to break the Final Decree, so instead of choosing to make a big fuss, it is better to vote honestly, quickly send [Justice (Order)] away, and then save the universe.

However, some gods were clearly unwilling to end this convention meeting so quickly. Seeing that Fate did not respond, [Fraud] rolled his eyes, thought for a moment, and then smiled and shouted to [Justice (Order)]:

"Old antique, before we vote, I have one more question."

[Justice (Order)] is the only god who will not avoid speaking to [Fraud] just because he foresees his mischief. After all, he represents [Covenant].

"But you can say anything."

Fraud raised his eyes and smiled, "Before Truth died, he only agreed on His authority, but did not mention His votes. So I want to ask, how should the two votes in His hand be divided?"

Yes, Truth has two votes, one is its own and the other is inherited from Prosperity.

These two votes helped him a lot in preparing for this experiment, but now, they have become ownerless.

The issue of [fraud] aroused the interest of all the gods present. After all, those were two extra votes, which could play a decisive role at many critical moments.

The gods were all waiting for a reply from [Justice (Order)], but before he could respond, [Fraud] spoke again.

“I remember one of the tickets was for [Prosperity], right?

Since the god who took away the vote has fallen, and someone else is now acting as [Prosperity], then according to the principle of fairness, shouldn't the vote be returned to [Prosperity]?"

As soon as he finished speaking, voices of opposition were heard in the venue.

"I object!"

[Annihilation] looked at [Fraud] dimly, glanced at [Fate] again, and snorted coldly:

"Don't think that others don't know what the relationship between that so-called agent and you [Nothingness] is. Giving the voting rights to a mortal. Only you [Fraud] can think of this being no different from giving you a vote. It's better to just give you the authority of [Truth] as well."
