Cold, damp, musty, smelly, urine-like, and bloody.
Before he regained consciousness, his sense of smell had revived prematurely. The mixed stench that rushed into his nostrils made Cheng Shi shudder instinctively.
He took a breath and found that the air in the place where he was undergoing the trial was quite polluted, much like being in the sewer of a city.
As his hearing gradually recovered, he could hear noisy chatter and the scolding and wailing that came from far and near. He listened carefully for a moment and came to a ridiculous conclusion:
prison.
There is a prison under my feet.
What a fate, I'm back in prison again. Could the identity of this trial be an imprisoned criminal?
My goodness, [Order] failed to put me in jail, but [Chaos] sent me here.
You two really work well together.
After a few seconds his limbs gradually regained feeling. He felt his head was heavy and his neck was sore. The pressure from his cervical vertebrae made him feel as if he had been hit on the back of the head with a club.
He wanted to raise his hand to rub his neck, but unexpectedly he felt a big iron lump on his neck.
"?"
Cheng Shi was startled and opened his eyes suddenly.
But what came into view was not the expected prison cage, but a pitch-black iron surface with several bright small holes cut out of it.
!!!
What is this?
Prisoner helmet?
What have I done wrong to deserve such a big helmet?
Cheng Shi blinked in surprise, and suddenly realized that the pressure on his neck was not due to pain or injury, but because a huge steel prisoner helmet was locked on his head!
He reached out and squeezed the iron lump, and found that the prisoner's helmet was hard and had no signs of splicing. It did not look like an ordinary torture instrument.
There were seven holes on the prisoner's helmet, corresponding to his eyes, ears, nostrils and mouth. Looking out through the horizontal eye holes, he could see that he was imprisoned in a small iron cage.
There were five other prisoners who looked like him, wearing iron helmets and red prison uniforms!
These five prisoners dressed identically may be teammates in this game?
Apart from the six of them, the huge prison was filled with densely packed cages. Other prisoners also wore the same standard prison helmets, or in other words, everyone in the prison wore a prison helmet, but the colors of the prison uniforms on different prisoners were different.
Cheng Shi took a quick glance and roughly saw some patterns.
There were not many criminals wearing the same color uniforms, some were 3 or 4, some were 7 or 8, but never more than 10. Moreover, these criminals of the same color were locked up together in order, and their cages were marked with conspicuous wooden numbers.
Cheng Shi couldn't see his own, but by observing the numbers of others it was not difficult to determine that the number of his cage was...six.
He is the last of the six red prisoners, the number six that he despised at the beginning of his life.
6.
Still can't escape this...great fate!
Just as Cheng Shi was looking around, the other five players in red prison uniforms finally reacted. They woke up and were soon shocked by everything around them.
Although their expressions could not be seen, their stiff limbs and tense backs all showed the astonishment and surprise in their hearts.
These teammates, like Cheng Shi, wanted to take off the prisoner helmets on their heads the moment they woke up, but no matter how hard they tried, they failed.
Cheng Shi silently observed everyone's movements, while at the same time pricked up his ears to collect any information he could hear nearby.
His current identity is no longer a liar with the talent of "master of deception", but a gambler who holds the real dice of destiny. Therefore, if he wants to take the initiative in future exchanges and cooperation, he must establish advantages in advance.
And intelligence advantage is the most important link.
The cages of the six players were not lined up in a row, but formed a circle. There were many such circular structures in this harsh prison, and all the cages containing prisoners of the same color were formed into a circle.
The rings are large and small, so that almost every prisoner can see his or her "teammates" of the same color.
Behind Cheng Shi were five prisoners in white prison uniforms. Their five cages formed a smaller circle, and at this moment a fierce quarrel was breaking out among these prisoners.
They seemed to be fighting over a woman.
"Bullshit, you are all talking nonsense, I am Dolly's man! I was the one who won her in the horse-catching ceremony! She is mine!"
"You scum, tui——, do you have the guts to fight me? I'll show you who's the best at the horse-catching ceremony!"
"You bastards, you're all coveting my woman. Just wait, just wait! Soon I will chop all of you off in the arena, leaving no one alive, just like I did when I won the horse-catching ceremony!"
"Stop talking nonsense. If you beat me, Dolly will be yours. Do you dare to accept it?"
"Dolly is mine! You disgusting animals! Come on, let's have a fight!"
Cheng Shi listened attentively for a long time but couldn't hear any useful information. His only thought was that he wanted to know how beautiful Dolly was that five men were fighting over her.
Further away there was a circle of seven cages, where the yellow prisoners locked inside were also arguing, but their voices were drowned out by the huge noise and were not so clear.
All you can hear are some single-word words like "memory", "chaos" and "order", as well as some curses that sound very much like a mother.
