Chapter 6: Fighting the Demonic Tiger

"Brothers, the bear monster is dead, and the tiger is seriously injured. If we can kill it, our entire village will have no worries about food for the winter." The young man who spoke was Jiang Feng's childhood friend and the son of the village chief, Niu Dazhuang. Niu Dazhuang and his group of young men had been hunting in the mountains with their elders since they were young, and they were all strong.

"Brother Dazhuang, although this giant tiger was seriously injured, you saw the battle just now. It is not something we can deal with," said a dark and thin young man.

Da Zhuang looked at the person who was speaking and said, "What the monkey said makes sense, but you also know that we have been in the mountains for 6 or 7 days and haven't encountered any animals. We have almost eaten all the dry food. But if we retreat like this, not only will the villagers have no meat for the winter, but we will also have to worry about whether we can get out of the mountains."

Although Niu Village had a relatively small population, it was relatively united. Aside from Jiang Feng, everyone else shared the same surname. Dazhuang was the oldest of the group and was generally more caring towards the villagers. Furthermore, he was the next village chief, so everyone listened to him.

At this time, someone said, "Brother Dazhuang, you make the decision. We brothers will listen to you."

"Yes, if we capture this giant tiger and show it to the surrounding villages, who will dare to look down on us?"

"I see you want to look at the girls from other villages. What's the matter? Are you looking for a wife too?"

Everyone was talking to each other, and the tense situation was relaxed a lot, but everyone also understood that this was different from the previous hunting. The giant beast in front of them should be considered a monster.

Da Zhuang looked at his brothers with a firm look in his eyes and said, "A few of you will follow me and make a feint attack from a distance. When the time is right, you monkeys will throw out the iron chain net to trap the giant tiger. Remember, you must be careful and don't be careless. As long as we trap the giant tiger, we will be able to kill this big cat by holding on."

The tiger demon didn't take these humans seriously at all. If it wanted to, it could kill them at any time, even if they were seriously injured. It was staring at the strange lotus, hoping it would bloom quickly. Once it got the fruit, it would not only recover from its injuries, but also transform into a human.

Suddenly, a deafening shout echoed through the forest: "Charge..." Like thunder, it instantly shattered the forest's tranquility. Then, the burly, muscular Da Zhuang, led by several strong young men, quickly surrounded the massive tiger.

Da Zhuang held a hard bow, nocked with an incredibly sharp arrow, and narrowed his eyes, aiming firmly at the tiger's fiercely gleaming eyes. He took a deep breath, as if concentrating all the strength around him into his arms, then pulled the bowstring with all his might. At this moment, the arrowhead flashed with a chilling cold light, like a ray of death, pointing directly at the tiger's vital point.

With a roar filled with rage and power, Da Zhuang suddenly released the taut bowstring. In an instant, the arrow flew out like lightning, whistling with a sharp wind, and rushed straight towards the giant tiger.

However, the tiger was no pushover. It keenly sensed the deadly threat from ahead and swiftly dodged the incoming arrow. Despite this, the arrow, still swift as the wind, ultimately struck the tiger's ear. The tiger felt a sharp pain and unleashed a thunderous roar that shook the entire forest.

Seeing this, the other young men followed Da Zhuang's lead without hesitation, quickly drawing their bows and arrows from their backs, simultaneously drawing their bowstrings to full length and aiming their arrows at the giant tiger. In the blink of an eye, countless arrows flew towards the giant tiger like a dense rain of raindrops.

Although these young men were not cultivators with magical powers, they relied on their rich hunting experience accumulated over many years in this mountain forest. Every arrow they fired was methodical and well-aimed. Knowing that the tiger had been injured before, they consciously fired all their arrows at the previously injured part of the tiger, hoping to inflict a heavier blow.

Faced with this sudden hail of arrows, the tiger dodged left and right, constantly shifting its stance and direction. Despite its incredibly quick reflexes, it was inevitably struck by multiple arrows. Unfortunately, these arrows missed its vital points and failed to cause fatal damage. On the contrary, the barrage of attacks only infuriated the ferocious beast.

The tiger opened its bloody mouth, wide enough to swallow a person whole, revealing its sharp and terrifying fangs. A foul, foul breath emanated from its mouth. Then, it stretched out its strong and powerful limbs and, like a chariot out of control, pounced fiercely at Da Zhuang and the others.

Da Zhuang and the others quickly retreated, while Monkey and the others threw out the iron net, encircling the giant tiger. Everyone gathered together in great joy, exerting all their strength to cling to the net ropes. At that moment, the giant tiger's claws, with a faint glow emanating from their tips, charged at the iron net that trapped it. The net shattered under the attack, and the shockwave sent everyone flying, causing them to spit blood.

This giant tiger is too terrifying. Even though it is seriously injured, it still has such strength. It seems that we will die here today!
