Chapter 10 If You Can't Get It, You'll Destroy It

Yi Yami and the other two returned home after closing their stall. Not long after, Zhou Dahai and Du Cuihua came to their door.

"Oh, they're all here~" Du Cuihua took a look and saw three or four wooden basins placed in the yard, with various duck products soaked in them.

"Dahai, Dahai's wife, why are you here? What's the matter?" Yi Laoer was very unhappy to see the two people coming uninvited, but they were neighbors after all, and they saw each other every day, so he still remained polite on his face.

"Well, knowing that your family is in the duck business, we want to learn too." Zhou Dahai narrowed his eyes and smiled.

"Who told you that we are in the duck business?" Yi Laoer was puzzled. His family had clearly kept it a secret very well. Although he knew in his heart that the villagers would find out sooner or later, he didn't expect it to happen so soon.

"We saw it with our own eyes." Du Cuihua stared at Yi Laoer as if she wanted to eat him alive.

"So what? What does our duck business have to do with you?" Yiyami wiped the water off his hands and looked directly at the two of them. It was obvious that these two people were not good people.

"You girl, you have no respect for your elders. You have to call me auntie in the village." Du Cuihua glared at her.

"There's no need to be polite to rude people." Yi Yami said lightly.

"You silly girl, who are you calling rude?" Du Cuihua started yelling and wanted to twist Yi Yami's ears after hearing this.

Yi Lao Er stood in front of Yi Yami and said, "What are you doing, Du Cuihua!"

Du Cuihua curled her lips, withdrew her hand, and then, as if she had thought of something, she put her hands on her hips and said, "Second Brother Yi, I'm telling you, today we discovered that you are doing the duck business. If you don't want us to leak the secret, tell us the production process of the duck products and let us have a share!"

Yi Yami found this reason funny. Yi Laoer also thought that these two people might have a mental problem.

Du Cuihua saw that everyone was laughing and got a little angry. "What are you laughing at? You take the jar out every day just to hide it from others. I understand your thinking. We can help you keep it a secret! The only condition is that you teach us how to make duck products."

Before Yi Lao Er could say anything, Yi Yami spoke first, "Then you can go and advertise everywhere. We do business in an open and honest manner, and we are not afraid."

When Du Cuihua heard her say this, her plan was dashed, and she couldn't help but feel a little annoyed. "Stop pretending. If you're really not afraid, why do you carry the jar with you every day?"

Yiyami was so angry that she laughed, "Auntie, if you don't have a mirror at home, you can go to the river or pee yourself, look in the mirror, and see how stupid you are. Do we need to explain to you what we do and how we do it? Who are you to our family?" Yiyami looked at her with her hands folded.

"Your words are so harsh, girl. She is your elder after all." Zhou Dahai stopped Du Cuihua who was about to tear her apart, and then spoke.

"So what if you're an elder? Do you take advantage of your age to bully others? According to what you said, doesn't that mean my grandma can go to your house and ask you for money?" Yi Yami looked at Zhou Dahai.

"Your grandmother is not my mother, why does she ask me for money?" Zhou Dahai asked back.

"Yes, my grandmother is not your mother, and your wife is not my biological aunt. Why should I respect her?" Yi Yami raised her eyebrows and looked at him sneerfully.

"I won't talk to a little girl like you who doesn't know etiquette. Second brother, let me tell you, you really should think about it. Right now, it's better for only our two families to know about the duck business than for the whole village to know about it. When your two brothers come and make trouble, you will have to teach them too. It's better to teach one family than two, three, four, five, or six families." Zhou Dahai turned to Yi Lao Er and spoke, looking at him with a half smile and a half threat.

Yi Lao Er originally wanted to fight two people by himself, but when he saw his daughter on the field, he started to watch the fight and even drank a few sips of water. Seeing Zhou Dahai turn around and talk to him and even threaten him, he was really angry and laughed. He gently put down the bowl and said, "Dahai, if you want to learn from a master, you must have the attitude and sincerity to learn from a master."

After a few days of business, Yi Lao Er had some money in his pocket, and he was more confident. He had met more people and his mind was sharper. "If you come here uninvited and aggressively, people who know you will think you are here to become my disciple. If they don't know you, they will think you are here to collect a debt."

"Do you think you can control us just because you see us doing business?" Yi Laoer walked up and asked Zhou Dahai looking into his eyes.

"We are all neighbors, so what's the point of talking about whether to take advantage of others or not? Don't you think so? Let's make money together. Don't be so stingy, second brother." Zhou Dahai lacked some momentum, but still said it with a shameless face.

"I'm sorry, this is my family's secret recipe, passed down only to family members and not to outsiders." He Huaizhu and Old Lady Yi walked in from the door. He Huaizhu spoke loudly, interrupting what Old Lady Yi was about to say.

Zhou Dahai and Du Cuihua were about to say something, but Old Lady Yi had already walked to the side of the broom and pointed to the door. "You two, please come in."

Old Mrs. Yi is well-known in the village for her boldness and straightforwardness. Although she lost her husband in middle age, she was able to settle down a large family on her own. No one knows how much hardship she endured behind this.

She was short but sturdy, her steps steady and powerful. Her face was marked by the marks of time, but her eyes revealed a resolute and determined spirit. Her voice was loud and clear, and she spoke directly, never beating around the bush. She didn't actively provoke others, but if they did, she wouldn't let them off easily.

Zhou Dahai and Du Cuihua were a little afraid of Old Lady Yi, so they had to run away first.

He Huaizhu closed the door and locked it. "What bad luck!"

Old Lady Yi walked towards Yi Yami and looked her up and down. "Are you okay, Xiaomi? Did Du Cuihua hit you?"
