Chapter 13: Broken Bones and Tendons

After Du Cuihua spread the news at the village entrance, she immediately came to Yi Lao's house.

The Yi family branched out and moved to the entrance of the village. It was the house that Mrs. Yi and Grandpa Yi built when they first came to Lvjia Village.

The mud-built house has four bedrooms, a kitchen, and a woodshed, surrounded by a yard.

Du Cuihua looked at the dilapidated door with contempt in her heart. She didn't really want to go in, but after thinking about her purpose, she finally pushed the door open.

Yi Lao Da went out to do odd jobs. At this time, there were only two girls and one boy in the yard, staring at her with their big eyes.

"Auntie, who are you looking for?" Izuya asked her.

"You are Douya, right? You have grown up so much, where is your father?" Du Cuihua looked at her face and thought for a while.

"What do you want from my dad?" another girl, Yi Hongdou asked her.

"Isn't he at home?" Du Cuihua looked at the other girl and couldn't remember her name. She felt a little headache. What was this Yi family really like? Why did they have so many children?

"Mom, there's a woman looking for my dad!" The boy Yi Daliang shouted at the top of his voice.

When Du Cuihua heard him say this, her head hurt even more.

The next second, a woman came out from behind the house and asked, "Which woman is looking for your father?"

Yi Lao Da's wife Jiang Yue looked at Du Cuihua and asked, "Are you Zhou Dahai's wife?"

"Yes, you still remember me?" Du Cuihua said with a smile.

"I don't remember, but I have some impression when I lived in the old house." Jiang Yue answered honestly.

"What do you want from my husband?" Jiang Yue asked in confusion.

"It's like this..." Du Cuihua told Jiang Yue about Yi Laoer's family's business, adding a lot of extraneous information that was not originally there.

Jiang Yue frowned, "Thank you, I understand. As for what to do, I have to wait for my husband to come back and tell him. Let him decide for himself."

Du Cuihua nodded. "Then I won't bother you anymore. I'll go back first."

"Goodbye." Jiang Yue didn't see him off, but went to do her own thing.

Du Cuihua was angry at her rudeness, but remembering that there was still Yi Lao San, she hurried to the end of the village, cursing as she went, "What a mess this Yi family is! Why do some of them live in different places? It's so hard to find them..."

The third family of Yi lived at the end of the village. The house was built by the money saved by Yi's grandfather and Yi's grandmother, so that if any of their sons got married and needed to live alone, they would give it to him.

It's also a house made of yellow mud, with only three bedrooms, a kitchen, and a yard. It's a remote location, so it's relatively quiet.

Yi Laosan has a boy and a girl in his family, and the boy is weaker.

"Is Yi Laosan at home?" Du Cuihua pushed open the door and shouted.

"What brings you here?" Yi Laosan was teaching Yi Mancang to write in the yard.

"Oh, Brother Yi San is teaching the children to write?" Du Cuihua said with a smile on her face.

"If you have something to say, please speak up. I don't have time to chat with you." Yi Lao San was dissatisfied.

"...Do you know that your second brother's family does business in town?" Du Cuihua was dissatisfied with his attitude, but still did not forget the purpose of her visit.

"What business?" Yi Lao San wondered.

"The duck business is booming." Du Cuihua continued to tell Yi Laosan what she had seen and heard, adding more details.

After hearing this, Yi Laosan looked a little unhappy.

Seeing that her goal had been achieved, Du Cuihua smiled and waved her hands, "I'm not saying that it's normal not to teach us outsiders, but not even telling your own brothers, isn't that too much!"

Yi Lao San had a dark face but didn't say anything.

Du Cuihua didn't continue talking and stopped talking, "Brother Yi San, you take your time with your work. I'm leaving first." Then she walked out.

The door of Yi Lao Er's yard was pushed open by Yi Lao Da and Yi Lao San.

Yi Lao Er looked at the two of them in surprise, "Big brother, Third brother, why are you here?"

Yi Lao San snorted coldly, "What, don't you welcome us?"

Old Lady Yi and Lan Shui's mother looked at each other. Du Cuihua was really quick.

"How could that be? Eldest son, third son, why didn't you bring the children back?" asked Old Mrs. Yi.

"Why should I bring it? Your heart has already turned away." Yi Lao San angrily found a stool and sat down.

"What are you talking about!" Old Mrs. Yi stood up angrily.

Yi Yami stood aside and witnessed all this. It seemed that the eldest uncle and the third uncle were here to demand an explanation.

"You know what I'm saying!" Yi Lao San turned his head to the side.

"Third brother..." Old Mrs. Yi wanted to speak but didn't know what to say.

At this time, the eldest brother Yi said, "Mom, you gave the recipe to the second brother and the others, and didn't teach me and my third brother. You are really biased!" The eldest brother Yi was so angry that he turned his head away.

"The recipe is mine and has nothing to do with grandma. If you want to get angry, come to me." Yi Yami saw that Grandma Yi was in trouble, so she stood up and spoke in a clear and loud voice.

Yi Lao Da and Yi Lao San glanced at her and said, "How could a little girl like her possibly have a recipe?"

Yi Yami rolled her eyes. "Are you two here to accuse me or what? I said the recipe is mine, how could it be false? Why would I lie to you two? Besides, if Grandma had the recipe, don't you think, given Grandma's character, she wouldn't let you and my dad make it together?"

The eldest and third brothers thought about it for a moment and realized that it was indeed the case. Although there were three brothers in the family, Old Lady Yi did not favor any of them and always worried about them.

The eldest and third sons of the Yi family recalled the quarrel and fight between the little girl and the second son of the Yi family, which led to the separation of the three families.
