Chapter 21: Yiji Food Stall Expands

After Yiyami's family completed the number of orders except for those for Yihuchun, they also made another pot of braised food for their own sales.

Yi Lao Da and Yi Lao San were thinking about learning a skill and opening a stall, so they came to help every day, hoping that Yi Ya Mi could teach them the skill as soon as possible.

Seeing their enthusiasm, Yi Yami realized that with their help, the once tiring work had become easier. She also planned to bring forward the teaching time as a way to repay the help of Yi Lao Da and Yi Lao San.

"Uncle, Third Uncle, after you finish your work today, I won't follow Dad and the others to sell braised food. I will teach you how to make your respective delicacies at home. After dinner, you will come to Uncle's house first, and in two hours, you will come to Third Uncle's house. By staggering your studies this way, only you two will know the content, and there will be no conflicts in the future." Yiyami said to the two families.

"We'll all listen to you." Yi Lao Da and Yi Lao San both thought this was a good idea.

I was worried that the other party would also learn this skill and make the same things as me. What if the brothers started fighting over money and interests in the future?

Yi Yami took their past experience into consideration and therefore deliberately separated the teaching process so that no one could steal her skills. At the very least, if there was a conflict, it wouldn't be her fault.

After dinner, Mr. and Mrs. Yi came hurriedly.

Yi Yami invited them to drink water and said, "Uncle, aunt, I've taken into consideration that your child is young and may need more care. You can prepare something that is less time-consuming and labor-intensive. You can also go home earlier and not have to spend so much time preparing."

Mr. and Mrs. Yi thanked them repeatedly, "Oh, Xiaomi, you are really thoughtful!" The two of them felt a little desperate after washing duck goods for the past few days.

"Come, this snack is called egg burger. You can try it first." Yi Yami took out the egg burger she made and handed it to Yi Lao Da and his wife.

The Yis looked at the thick pancake in their hands and took a bite. "Hmm, delicious! It has eggs, meat filling, pickles, and chili peppers!"

Yi Yami nodded and took out two pre-ordered iron pots. "These are two iron pots that I drew based on my own drawings and then had a blacksmith make them. There are only these two on the market, unless the blacksmith makes them again. But I've already told him that he's not allowed to make these pots outside of the market based on the drawings, unless I authorize him to do so. I'm sure someone will imitate these pots soon, but don't worry. Without my drawings, the thickness and size of the pots they make will be different. I also engraved the word "Yi" on the pots, so that even if someone imitates your product in the future, you can still maintain the uniqueness of your own product. It also prevents some rogue hooligans from causing trouble for you by making fakes."

The Yis took a closer look. There were ten holes, all the same size. Each had the Chinese character "Yi" engraved on the bottom. Next to it was a unique flower character. Yis and Jiang Yue didn't recognize it. Yi Yami said, "This represents the trademark. It's okay if you don't recognize it. I wrote it in a unique way. Unless someone gets their hands on your pot, they won't be able to tell it's there."

"Does it have to be so rigorous? Doing business is really not easy!" Boss Yi sighed.

"Uncle, you'd better be cautious and careful. It's better to be safe than sorry! The business world is full of twists and turns. Who knows what will happen in the next second? In order to avoid someone deliberately framing us, it is better for us to take some protective measures ourselves." Yi Yami explained with a smile.

"Of course, let's be careful." Jiang Yue agreed with a smile.

"It's better for you to prepare two stoves yourself and take them to the town or wherever you want to set up a stall. The pancakes fried this way will taste better than if you fry them first and then sell them. This pancake will feel a little greasy if it's been left for too long." Yiyami said.

"We've taken note of it." Boss Yi said seriously.

"Okay, now I'm going to start teaching you how to do this."

Yi Lao Da and Jiang Yue surrounded Yi Yami, their eyes fixed on her every move. Yi Yami skillfully picked up the ingredients, introduced their characteristics and uses one by one, and then began to demonstrate how to cut, stir, and cook.

Yi Lao Da and Jiang Yue were concentrating on learning, carefully imitating Yi Yami's movements. Before they knew it, a long time had passed.

"Uncle and aunt, for this pancake, you can ask the customers whether they want meat or just pure egg filling, because some customers don't eat meat." Yiyami taught them.

"It's really strange. Who doesn't eat meat these days?" Mr. and Mrs. Yi were surprised.

"Yes, many people just don't eat it. Everyone has their own preferences. Some people like to eat this, some people like to eat that, which is normal. It is also normal for some people to hate the taste of certain food. So when you are making it, you can ask the customer's preferences and remember that this customer may become our regular customer. The most important thing in doing business is service first. If you provide good service, people will love to buy it even if the taste is a little worse. Of course, it is best to improve the taste of the food to the extreme. If the taste is good, people will continue to buy it." Yiyami continued.

"We can add chili and sugar to this dish. You can prepare a few small jars and put chili, sugar, your own sauces, chopped green onions, coriander, and pickles in them. Then ask the customer if he wants these sauces and which ones he wants?" Yiyami taught him step by step.
