Chapter 26: Getting Rich

Gu Beijian never realized that this duck was so difficult to clean. Not only did he have to poke the duck's nostrils and ear holes with chopsticks, but he also had to rinse it with water many times. A lot of dirty and disgusting things came out of the duck's nostrils and ear holes, and he wanted to vomit on the spot.

"Oh my god, Yi Yami, you did it on purpose. You just want to make fun of me! Otherwise, why would you let me wash this duck stuff!?" Gu Beijian complained.

"I want to let you know how happy and reborn you are as a rich young man. Look at the ducks you tasted, they were all delicious and well-processed, but you couldn't see how complicated the cleaning is before processing. If the cleaning is not in place, the ingredients will not be up to standard and the food will not taste good. This is also to tell you that if I give you a recipe, you must require your subordinates to handle the ingredients strictly, seriously and responsibly, and not be careless." Yiyami said seriously.

Gu Beijian looked at her serious eyes and smiled in his heart. The emperor must have become senile. A woman like her didn't need his guidance. It was more like he was being guided by her.

Seeing Gu Beijian in a daze, Yi Yami called out to him, "What are you thinking about? You've been lost in thought for so long."

"Oh, nothing, I just think what you said makes sense." Gu Beijian laughed and tried to get away with it.

Gu Beijian was busy until Yi Laoer and the others came back, then he stopped and waved for them to come over to take over his work. "Come here quickly, I'm exhausted."

Tian Qing helped him up and asked, "Master, why are you doing such physical work?"

"If you don't come back, won't I, the young master, be the only one doing the work?" Gu Beijian rolled his eyes at him.

Tianqing listened without saying anything, but just gently patted the dust off his body.

Yi Yami handed over a cup of warm tea, "Freshly brewed."

Gu Beijian took it and drank it all in one gulp. He didn't look like a nobleman at all.

"I want more." Gu Beijian handed her the cup.

Yi Yami smiled and said, "It's on the table in the main room. Go pour it yourself. I'm busy. I have to go cook." Then she walked away.

"Okay." Gu Beijian took a look and saw that Tianqing and the others were all working, so he had to resign himself to his fate and go to the main room to pour water.

After Tianqing and the others finished their meal, they were also amazed by Yiyami's cooking skills. After cleaning the dishes, they left Tianqing to serve them, and the two began to discuss the recipe.

Yi Lao Er didn't understand but sat aside.

"Well, I'll give you two recipes for each of the eight major cuisines I know, so you'll have sixteen dishes. I'll give you four desserts, so you'll have twenty dishes. You'll give me one hundred and fifty taels for each dish, for a total of three thousand taels." Yi Yami said after thinking for a moment.

Gu Beijian was shocked when he heard this. "So many?"

Yi Yami looked at his surprised expression and said, "What's wrong? Can't you afford it? Then I can order less?"

"How can I not afford it? I'm just surprised that you know so many dishes. I really want to open your brain to see what's inside." Gu Beijian waved his hand.

"It's inherited from our ancestors, and it's a collective wisdom. I'm just looking at the world by standing on the shoulders of giants. Do you want the advice I just gave you? If you need it, let's sign a contract now. I can write down the recipe for you, and then I'll lead your chef to make it. Your chef can learn it by himself according to the recipe. When he encounters difficulties, I'll give him some pointers." Yiyami looked at him seriously.

"Of course I do. I don't have that much cash on me today, only 1,500 taels. I'll give it to you first, and we'll sign the contract first. I'll let Shopkeeper An give you the remaining 1,500 taels when you go to Yihuchun for teaching, okay?" Gu Beijian placed the 1,500 tael silver note in front of her. Originally, Gu Beijian thought this girl would only give him ten recipes at most, ten recipes at most, and ask for 2,000 taels, and then he would bargain with her. Unexpectedly, this girl gave him 20 recipes at once, and the price of each one was within his acceptable range. So he didn't bother to negotiate the price with her. She was open-minded, and he couldn't let himself be outdone.

"Okay, no problem. Write what I just said in the contract. These recipes are only for your Yihuchun use. No other restaurant is allowed to use them. If you violate the agreement, you must pay me a penalty. If one leak is leaked, the penalty is one hundred taels. I will not teach it to other restaurants either. If I break the agreement, the penalty is one hundred taels for each leak." Yi Yami added seriously.

"No, we also have to add the cost of the loss of our Yihuchun." Gu Beijian said after thinking for a while.

Yi Yami stared at him and said, "Stop it. Leave some space for others so that we can meet again in the future."

Seeing that she was angry, Gu Beijian smiled and said, "I was just kidding. Don't do it. I believe in you. If you say you can't do it, then you can't do it."

Yi Yami then nodded happily.

Yi Laoer, He Huaizhu and Old Lady Yi who were standing by were overwhelmed by this sudden wealth. Wasn't it too easy to make money?

After both parties signed the contract, Yi Yami first accepted the 1,500 taels, and then put away his own copy of the contract.

After sending Gu Beijian to the door, he said, "Don't worry, I will take time out these few days to go to Yihuchun to teach. As long as your master is free."

"Don't worry, our masters are free as long as you come. I'll wait for you at Yihuchun." Gu Beijian glanced at her and said a little reluctantly.

Yi Yami laughed and hit him. "What's your tone? You speak as if you haven't seen me for a long time. I go to town every day, and you can see me every day."

"Hahahahahahaha, of course I know this. See you then." Gu Beijian waved his hand and got on the carriage. Tianqing and others sat scattered around the carriage. The coachman waved his whip and the horses started.
