Chapter 38 First Meeting with Du Yinye

Yi Yami nodded.

The servants of the Du Mansion were all dressed in uniform, wearing neat blue shorts, long trousers, black cloth shoes, and clean rags hanging around their waists. They came in one after another, one of them holding a wooden tray with several bowls of dishes on it. Each person was assigned to one table, and the rest of the people went to other tables.

Seeing this, other villagers wanted to help serve the dishes, but the waiter said, "You are all honored guests of the Du Mansion today. It is not right for honored guests to take action. We will do it."

Yi Yami was deeply impressed by this young man.

Although they were all stir-fried fatty meats, with some duck, chicken, and large pieces of meat, they were simply cooked, had no color, and still had a very fishy smell, but the other villagers all ate with relish, discussing the food while they ate.

Yi Yami took a few bites and then stopped.

He Huaixiu asked with concern, "What's wrong? Is it not to your taste?"

Yi Yami nodded and said softly to He Huaixiu, "A lot of things have not been handled properly."

The servants of the Du Mansion who were waiting on the side were originally lamenting the others' wolfing down of their food like they had never seen the world before. When they saw the He family eating leisurely, they began to whisper, "Is it because they have never eaten such delicious food before that they are behaving like this?"

"I don't think so. Look at that family. They don't eat like the others, but instead think the food is just average and don't seem to have any interest in it," said another little girl.

"No way, such delicious dishes are not tasty. What? Do you want to eat dragon liver and phoenix gall from heaven?" The girl who spoke first said angrily.

After three rounds of drinks, Master Du, drunkenly accompanied by his servants, came to the first floor with his wine glass in hand. "Everyone, enjoy your meal and drink. Please forgive me for the poor hospitality!"

Everyone quickly said no, no.

Mr. Du's granddaughter-in-law, wearing a headband and a hat, wrapped herself up tightly, and accompanied by her maid, came to toast with her parents-in-law and grandparents. Unlike the tables on the third and second floors who toasted each other, the people on the first floor just stood at the door and gave a light greeting.

Mr. Du's grandson and granddaughter-in-law's brother arrived late and also greeted briefly at the door.

Someone started to make a noise, "Hey, Master Du, why don't we see your little great-grandson at the full moon banquet?"

"That's right, bring it out for everyone to see!"

Mr. Du was also drunk, and he waved his hand and said, "Bring him here, let everyone see my adorable great-grandson."

The grandson's wife was a little unhappy, but it was only a fleeting look, and was caught by Yi Yami.

The granddaughter-in-law ordered the servants to bring the person over.

After a while, the girl holding the child was not the one in green clothes, but a girl wearing a light purple long skirt with gold thread trim. The hem of the skirt was embroidered with white and yellow orchids, and patterns of flying butterflies. A pair of small white embroidered shoes came into view. Looking up, she had a flying bun with a golden and blue hairpin, and a light white plum blossom hairpin. She had a pair of almond eyes, bright and gentle, with a high nose bridge, and skin that was white and delicate, with a little makeup on. From a distance, she looked like a person in a painting.

The woman was seen holding the child in a golden coat, coaxing him softly, "Baby, be good!"

Granddaughter-in-law Lu Tingting hurried over to greet him, "Why is it my sister carrying me here?"

Du Yinye smiled gently, "Bao'er kept crying, but he stopped crying after I brought him to me. When Fengye came to look for him, I was holding him. So why not come over here myself?"

Not only Yi Yami was stunned, but everyone else was stunned as well.

"So beautiful, no wonder my cousin likes her. I would like her too! Beautiful sister!!" Yiyami screamed in her heart.

Mr. Du is very satisfied with everyone's shock at his granddaughter's appearance, which shows that he is really good at raising her, hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

Seeing everyone's reaction, Lu Tingting felt a little unhappy, so she made an excuse, "Sister, I left Bao'er's bib on my desk. Fengye can't leave here, how about you run a trip for me?"

"Okay, hold Baoer tightly, I'll be back soon." Du Yinye smiled gently, returned Baoer to Lu Tingting, and turned away.

Yi Yami was still feeling sorry. How could the beautiful sister leave after just a short while?

When Lu Tingting saw her leave and everyone's attention returned to her and her child, her previous displeasure was finally swept away.

"Mr. Du, you are so lucky. Now you have four generations living under the same roof!" Someone praised Mr. Du.

Mr. Du was very happy to hear such words and said happily, "I am happy for you."

Yi Yami was still thinking about Du Yinye, so she made an excuse that she had a stomachache and left the banquet hall.

Du Yinye was seen walking slowly ahead, the maid beside her muttering, "Miss, why is your great-grandson's mother ordering you around? Logically, you and she are of the same generation, so why is she ordering you around like a maid?"

"Maybe I'm too unique and stole Bao'er's limelight. It's normal for my sister-in-law to feel uncomfortable. Sometimes it's a sin to be pregnant with Baoyu." Du Yinye answered her softly.

"Then she shouldn't order you around like a maid, as if she's superior!" The girl pouted unhappily.

Yi Yami eavesdropped on their conversation from behind.

I never thought that I would meet Du Yinye's eyes the next second.
