Chapter 78 Sister and Brother Escape

The Damqie grassland where the Sars people live.

Every morning, Murong Guiyi takes her flock of sheep to graze on the grassland. Her sheep are docile and lovely, and Murong Guiyi takes care of them as if they were her own children.

One morning, Murong Guiyi arrived at the grasslands with his flock of sheep as usual. Sunlight filtered through the clouds, casting a striking tranquil light on the earth. Sitting on a high slope, Murong Guiyi gazed at the snow-capped mountains in the distance and the flock of sheep nearby, his heart filled with peace and hope.

Just then, the sound of horse hooves shattered the silence. Murong Guiyi looked up and saw a group of cavalrymen galloping towards them. Leading them was a man wearing black and gold armor, riding a tall horse. The portly man sat on his horse, looking down at her.

Murong Guiyi was shocked, but pretended to be calm. She quickly stood up and saluted. "Khan, may God bless you."

Hu Muqi's soldiers surrounded her.

"How do you know I'm the Khan?" Humuqi smiled lewdly. He looked at Guli, a flicker of astonishment in his eyes. He had never seen such a beautiful woman before, her face as delicate as a flower, her temperament as elegant as an orchid. He couldn't help but harbor evil thoughts, wanting to take Murong Guiyi as his concubine.

"Who are you? Why are you grazing sheep here?" Hu Muqi asked.

Murong Guiyi feigned composure, but her slightly trembling voice betrayed her: "I am Murong Tianqi's youngest daughter, Murong Guiyi. On the Damqie Grassland, only the Khan can command such prestige."

Hu Muqi couldn't help but feel a little proud after hearing Murong Guiyi's answer. There was no reason to let the beauty he liked get away, so he decided to take Murong Guiyi away by force.

"Well said. From now on, you will be the woman of the most powerful man on the Damqi'e grassland! Come back to the palace with me." Humuqi laughed.

Murong Guiyi's face turned pale upon hearing this, tears welling up in her eyes. She knew she couldn't resist Hu Muxia's orders, but she also didn't want to be his plaything. She struggled desperately, trying to escape the soldiers' encirclement.

However, Murong Guiyi's struggle was in vain. She was roughly dragged onto the horse by the soldiers and taken to the palace.

In the distance, two young men who were herding sheep saw this scene, immediately put down their whips, mounted their horses and rode in the other direction.

"Oh no! Oh no!" The two young shepherds rushed to Murong Tianqi's house shouting.

"What's wrong?" Murong Jinyi was practicing martial arts at home. She was a little confused when she saw that it was the two deserters who escaped back. She hated these two people the most and didn't know how they escaped from Gu Nanji's men. She kept her distance from these two people and even mocked them sometimes.

"Your sister was taken away by the Khan's soldiers and is heading to the palace!" said the two young shepherds. The two men looked familiar. They turned out to be the two people left behind by Gu Beijian. They originally thought they were dead, but late at night, Gu Nanji walked in. Gu Nanji heard Gu Beijian say that the two men were very timid and their hands were not stained with the blood of Yin Weiguo's soldiers. Their old mothers at home were still waiting for them to go back, so he let them go. Gu Nanji followed Gu Beijian's request and secretly let the two men go. Before leaving, he told them that if they met on the battlefield again, he would chop off their heads. The two men were grateful and cried bitterly, saying that they would definitely find a way to never go to the battlefield again.

"What!?" Murong Jinyi stood up in a flash.

"It's absolutely true. We two lost our sheep and came back to tell you. You should go and save them immediately. It will be too late if you delay any longer. Your sister is a good person. She takes good care of our mother. We can't bear to see her being defiled by the Khan. Go quickly!" the two shepherds urged.

"Okay, I got it. Please go and call my brother. I'll go ahead." Murong Jinyi picked up the scimitar and was about to walk out of the house.

"You go ahead, we'll be there soon." The two shepherds replied eagerly.

Murong Jinyi jumped on his horse and rushed out with a whip.

The two shepherds did not stop and rushed towards the military camp.

"Brother Murong, something bad has happened! Brother Murong, something bad has happened!" The two shepherds ran out of breath.

A miniature version of Murong Tianqi ran out with a bow and arrow, "What's wrong?"

"Something happened at your house!" the two shepherds shouted. Seeing others looking over, they hurried forward and whispered in his ear.

Murong Shanguan's brows immediately furrowed, and he immediately grabbed a horse, mounted it and galloped towards the palace.

Yang Guadal was originally teaching martial arts to the children of the Murong family. When he saw that Murong Shanguang was missing, he went out to look for him. He only saw two shepherds gasping for breath, and then he vaguely heard some information about Murong Guiyi being saved, Khan, and the palace. After piecing together the whole thing, he hurried to report to Murong Tianyi.

"Let them go, but if they run away, our people should not chase them so closely. If necessary, give them a few horses to escape. If they can run away, it's their ability. If not, I, as their uncle, have done my best. You should discipline my sons well and keep a close eye on their martial arts, riding and archery, and the use of weapons. I don't want those sons to only hold me back if a real fight breaks out!" Murong Tianyi replied coldly after hearing his report.

The Palace of the Sarsians

"Khan, what should we do with this woman?" asked Hu Muqi's men.

Humuqi was about to have sex with her when a maid suddenly came and reported, "Khan, Khatun said that little Khan Gele has a fever. Please go and see him!"
