The next day, Afuqi came to Yiji and asked Gu Beijian, "How can I keep the blueberries fresh?"
Gu Beijian looked at Yi Yami and translated Afuchi's words.
Yi Yami smiled and said, "That's easy. Ask Afuchi to buy some clay pots. I'll seal the blueberries in them."
Gu Beijian asked, "Will this keep it fresh?"
Yi Yami shook her head. "It can ensure that the blueberries will not spoil. Although they cannot be presented in their fresh form, they will be turned into blueberry wine. The effect is the same, but the flavor is different."
Gu Beijian translated it for Afuchi, and Afuchi asked again and again if there was no other way.
Yi Yami shook her head. "The journey is too long. If we go there, it will rot. It's not worth it. But if we make blueberry wine, it will be ready by the time it reaches you."
After thinking it over, Afuchi agreed with Yiyami's suggestion.
Before leaving, Yao Wenyuan gave the earrings to He Huaixiu. He Huaixiu blushed and whispered thank you.
Yao Wenyuan and Gu Beijian negotiated with Afuchi and confirmed that there were about 300 kilograms of blueberries on the mountain.
Afuchi was shocked. He had not expected so much. He sent a letter by flying eagle to inform the people of Dujiaocuo country to prepare horses and planned to use money to compensate if the number was not enough.
During this period, Yi Yami took time out to go to Shandandan Village to teach He Heihu how to make blueberry wine.
In order to ensure the smooth completion of the first trade between the two countries, Yao Wenyuan stayed at the He family and planned to return to the county town after completion.
At this time, Yao Wenyuan was helping to pick blueberries on the mountain, and He Huaixiu brought him water and food.
"Brother Yao, the water and food are here." He Huaixiu took out the food.
Yao Wenyuan sat on the hillside and started eating without caring about his image.
"Brother Yao, go slower, there's still a lot." He Huaixiu poured him a bowl of water.
"Huai Xiu, don't tell me, this physical labor is really hard. I'm exhausted after just working for half a day. I think this meal is very delicious." Yao Wenyuan said after swallowing the food.
"It's like this. Ordinary people work like this every day. Look at my hands, they are rough because of working every day." He Huaixiu showed his hands without any hesitation.
Yao Wenyuan saw that the hands that should have been flawless, delicate and soft were now covered with calluses.
Yao Wenyuan thought of his sister, whose hands were really white and delicate.
"Cherish food, cherish everything, it's hard-earned." Yao Wenyuan sighed.
He Huaixiu nodded and said, "Brother Yao, take your time eating. I'll go take food to the others first."
Yao Wenyuan hummed.
He Huaixiu was seen walking forward, happy but not paying attention to his feet, and stepped on an extremely slippery mossy stone.
With a click, He Huaixiu's body swayed and he was about to fall.
Yao Wenyuan immediately put down his food and went forward to support her.
"Huai Xiu, are you okay?" Yao Wenyuan asked worriedly.
"Hiss~ my ankle..." He Huaixiu's face was covered in sweat and pale.
"Let me see." Yao Wenyuan ignored the etiquette and lifted up He Huaixiu's ankle to take a look, only to see a red and swollen area.
"Maybe you sprained it. I'll carry you down." Yao Wenyuan picked up He Huaixiu.
"What about the meal? I haven't finished delivering it yet..." He Huaixiu said anxiously.
"It doesn't matter if they wait, you are in a more urgent situation." Yao Wenyuan glanced at him, then walked away briskly.
On Yao Wenyuan's back, He Huaixiu's face was as red as blood. This man looked very gentle, but how could he be so strong? She was not slim, but a tall and strong girl.
Yao Wenyuan carried He Huaixiu on his back. When they reached the foot of the mountain, Fang Caixiu came up to them and asked, "What happened?"
"Huaixiu sprained her ankle. Aunt Fang, please ask a doctor to take a look." Yao Wenyuan said.
When Fang Caixiu heard this, she immediately went to find a doctor.
"Then I'll go first. I'll distribute the food for you." Yao Wenyuan said.
He Huaixiu nodded.
The doctor came and saw that it was indeed a sprain. He prescribed some herbal medicine and told me to rest and then left.
He Huaixiu sighed, and Fang Caixiu nodded her head. "Why are you sighing? Why don't you take this opportunity to rest for a while?"
"That's good, but I can't see you..." Brother Yao said, but he didn't finish his words.
Fang Caixiu was puzzled, "What can't I see?"
"Oh, I mean, we won't be able to see the scene of picking blueberries in our house." He Huaixiu made an excuse.
"That's no big deal. There will be plenty of opportunities like this in the future. Okay, let me help you lie down in the room." Fang Caixiu supported her and moved into the room little by little.
He Huaixiu picked up the half-embroidered handkerchief on the bedside table and started embroidering again.
Yao Wenyuan was not at the dinner table when He Huaixiu was not there. He felt something was wrong and asked, "Aunt Fang, what did the doctor say?"
Fang Caixiu replied, "Oh, it's nothing. The doctor just told me to rest and not move for a few days. He also gave me some herbal compresses."
Yao Wenyuan nodded upon hearing this.
He Huaixiu finished his meal in the room and put the bowl away. He wanted to drink some water, so he went to reach it, but found that it was still a little short of the mark. So he had to move to the bed little by little and tried to jump over to get it.
But the distance was still a bit far, and when He Huaixiu put his other injured foot on the ground, he exclaimed.
Yao Wenyuan just happened to come and pick up the dishes that He Huaixiu had used up. He had been doing some work during the few days he stayed there to make himself feel better.
Yao Wenyuan immediately stepped forward to support her. "Didn't your foot hurt? Why are you standing up again?"
