Chapter 153 Nian Nian goes home to rest

Chapter 153 Nian Nian goes home to rest

Nian Nian's heart tightened, and his memory instantly rewound to the last time he'd been sick and gone to the hospital for a shot. He recalled the pain, and his hands, tucked under Jiang Duan's school uniform, clenched unconsciously.

"Student Shi Nianzhu!"

Her shoes tapped rapidly on the floor, and the woman, dressed as a professional teacher, wanted to take two steps at a time and rush straight towards Nian Nian.

Xi Zimu, who was jogging behind her, had sweat on his forehead.

"Student Shi Nianzhu, how are you feeling right now? Are you feeling any pain anywhere?"

The teacher squatted down to ask, and while rubbing his hands against Nian Nian's burning skin, his heart skipped a beat: "It's so hot, I think you have a fever. I'll take you to the school clinic for a checkup first."

The safety of students always comes first in school. She had received a call from Shi Nianzhu's father and then met Xi Zimu on the way who tipped her off. She was already panicking, but now that she saw Nianzhu's condition was critical, she had no choice but to make a quick decision and send the student to the infirmary for a checkup.

"Teacher will hold you." The woman was extremely anxious. She put her arms around Nian Nian and Jiang Duan's school uniform jacket, and then walked towards the infirmary without stopping.

The children all followed the teacher consciously as if they had turned on automatic following.

As Jiang Duan walked, he looked up and asked Nian Nian, "Did you call Uncle Shi before calling me?"

Nian Nian's head, which had been buried in the teacher's shoulder, rose up and said weakly, "I did."

He spoke weakly, and Jiang Duan made a judgment immediately. He knew Nian Nian's temper very well. He lowered his eyes and dialed Shi Guilin's number with the phone watch on his wrist.

The call went through almost immediately.

"Hello? Is that Duan? Are you with Nian Nian? How is his condition? Is it serious?"

"Uncle Shi, don't worry. Nian Nian's vomiting blood isn't a serious illness. He's in the process of changing teeth. He just lost a tooth and his gums are bleeding a little."

Shi Guilin, who had already run a red light, said: "..."

"Okay. I understand. Thank you Duan." Shi Guilin slowly released the accelerator to slow down the car that was moving like an arrow.

"You're welcome, Uncle Shi." Jiang Duan glanced at Nian Nian's lips, which had turned slightly pale from the fever, and reminded her, "Uncle Shi, you'd better drive faster. Nian Nian seems to have a high fever. We're on our way to the infirmary now."

Shi Guilin almost choked: "I see, I still have about ten minutes to go, I'll be there soon."

It was like one thing after another, scaring him again and again. Shi Guilin's car, which had slowed down, increased in speed again.

Everyone who listened in silently on the call had their own difficulties.

Ji Shuhe was still embarrassed by the misunderstanding that happened just a few minutes ago, but teacher Xi Zimuhe, who interrupted him, learned the full truth through the phone call to report his safety.

Xi Zimu was also a little embarrassed.

The teacher almost cried with joy when he learned that his students were still healthy and had no underlying diseases.

It’s great that no one was killed in her teaching career.

Nian Nian, who had been running a fever, was swaying on her shoulder.

The fear caused by the "terminal illness" subsided, but the fatigue from being sick came back. Before reaching the infirmary, Nian Nian could no longer bear it and fell asleep on the teacher's shoulder, half dazed and half exhausted.

He regained consciousness when he felt a chill on his butt. He groggily opened his eyes and saw the pristine white sheets and pillows of the infirmary's bed.

Nian Nian's mind was fuzzy and she had not yet realized what the cold feeling on her butt meant when she suddenly felt a sharp pain. The pain was transmitted to her brain through the nerve endings, causing her tears to burst out.

"Wuwu..." He whimpered softly, his hand held by another hand. Nian Nian looked up at the owner of the hand, and after recognizing it was Jiang Duan, her aggrieved tone became even more willful.

But then he glanced at the several figures beside the bed, and his throat choked, as if he had an image burden, and immediately retracted his coquettish crying voice.

This was not enough. He sniffed, blinked quickly, and forced back the tears.

Very concerned about face.

"Little Shi Nianzhu, don't cry. You have a fever and need an injection. You will be fine after the injection." The teacher with a low ponytail bent down and stroked Nian Nian's back soothingly.

The thin needle was pulled out of the body, and the doctor in a white coat wiped the injection site with an iodine cotton ball. The fingers hooked on the waistband of Nian Nian's pants loosened, and Nian Nian's pants bounced back with a "snap", wrapping her buttocks tightly.

The doctor turned around and threw away the used needle.

Nian Nian was embarrassed and covered her aching buttocks, pretending to be strong and said, "It doesn't hurt at all."

Jiang Duan chuckled and made no comment.

Nian Nian: "...It really doesn't hurt."

"She's not afraid of pain anymore. It seems our Nian Nian has grown up again."

The voice was too familiar, and Nian Nian blurted out, "Dad!" without even turning around.

Shi Guilin strode to the bedside, pinched his face lovingly, and asked with his head tilted slightly, "Where's the doctor?"

"Here." The man in the white coat came over.

"How is my child's health?"

"The fever is 38.6 degrees. He just got a fever-reducing injection. He should be fine after a good night's sleep and some sweating. It's normal for children to catch a cold and have a fever during the change of seasons." The doctor explained patiently.

"Thanks."

"You're welcome."

Shi Guilin finally put his mind at ease and thanked the teacher specifically.

Seeing that the students were being looked after by their parents, the teacher reminded Xi Zimu and others who followed them to return to the nap room before checking the number of people during lunch break and then left.

"I'll take Nian Nian home to rest later. You guys should go back and take a nap. You don't have to accompany Nian Nian anymore."

Xi Zimu and Ji Shuhe nodded and left together.

Jiang Duan and Chu Qingyu stayed where they were without moving.

"Is there anything else?" Shi Guilin looked at Jiang Duan questioningly.

"Teeth." Jiang Duan spread his hands.

There was a piece of white tissue lying in the palm of my hand, and there was clearly a tooth in the center of the tissue.

"I spit the tooth on the table. Brother Duan took it." Nian Nian said.

Shi Guilin was somewhat surprised by his attentiveness. He took the tooth and put it in his shirt pocket. He looked directly at him and said sincerely, "Thank you, Duan. You helped your uncle a lot today."

"It's okay." Jiang Duan looked at Nian Nian who was lying sick in bed. "Helping Nian Nian is what I should do as a brother."

"Good boy." Shi Guilin approached him and gave him a hug. "Anyway, today is a relief because of you."

"Go and have a rest. You and your classmates still have classes in the afternoon. Put on your coat and be careful not to catch a cold." Shi Guilin knew whose school uniform that was placed beside the bed belonged to him at a glance.

Jiang Duan nodded, took the clothes and put them on. Then, Chu Qingyu left the school clinic with him.

After getting the injection, Nian Nian was picked up from the hospital bed by Shi Guilin and taken home to have a good rest.
