Chapter 20 Nian Nian's house was stolen

Chapter 20 Nian Nian's house was stolen

Shi Nanqi's smile froze, his lips opened and closed, but in the end he didn't utter a single word.

She had long hair, and when she tilted her head slightly, all the hair on her back slid to her chest, blocking not only Nian Nian's sight, but also her trembling eyelashes.

Nian Nian wrinkled her nose, smelled the fragrance of the long hair in front of her, and reached out to grab a strand of hair again like yesterday.

"Auntie, it smells so good." The little guy was very sincere and didn't tell any lies.

"Hmm." There was a barely perceptible nasal tone mixed in the short syllables. Shi Nanqi raised his head and blinked quickly, then looked at Nian Nian, and his smile became even brighter.

"Our Nian Nian is even more fragrant than her auntie. She is a baby with the sweet smell of milk." Shi Nanqi rubbed Nian Nian's little nose affectionately.

Nian Nian shrank her head shyly.

Wang Xiulin, who was standing aside, shifted her gaze away from Shi Nanqi's face without leaving a trace, and quietly relaxed her tightly clenched hands.

"Let's go downstairs and relax. Nanxi, you're still a student, so go out and play in your room more often. There's no need to rush anything. Look at Lin Zhuo, he wishes he didn't have to go to school every day."

Nian Nian also got excited: "Nian Nian, play!"

Wang Xiulin gave a thumbs up: "Look at Nian Nian, she's so lively and energetic, how wonderful."

Shi Nanqi raised the corner of his mouth and pretended to be a rogue: "Mom, how can you teach your children like this? What if we fail to achieve anything? I will blame you for the rest of my life, so please don't bother me."

"That's true," Wang Xiulin waved her hand. "When you were born, all I wanted was for you to be safe and healthy. Why would I ask for anything else?"

The three of them chatted as they walked into the living room. The TV's pause screen was still on the first episode of "Forest Paradise" that had just been played.

As soon as Nian Nian returned to the carpet, she felt like she was back in her old nest. She felt like a fish in water and spun around the sofa and coffee table like a little top.

He was wearing light yellow clothes and looked like a little yellow puff on the wool blanket. He was so cute that Nanqi always wanted to eat him in one bite.

After entertaining himself for a while, Nian Nian realized that Shi Guilin seemed to be gone. He scratched his socked feet blankly and looked around with his head shaking 180 degrees.

No one else.

Nian Nian hung his head in despair. He couldn't find his father.

"I'm back." The sound of someone changing shoes could be heard from the entrance.

It’s Daddy! Nian Nian pursed her lips, like a chubby little seal, straightened her upper body, and looked towards the door with bright eyes full of anticipation.

“Papa!”

"Hey, Daddy heard it." Shi Guilin responded with exceptionally brisk steps. He walked over, picked up Nian Nian, who had already opened her arms, and kissed her, "Good baby."

Wang Xiulin noticed the bag of medicine that Shi Guilin put down as soon as he entered the room: "What did the doctor say?"

"Gao Yiyan sent me Nian Nian's medical examination report, and I read it on the way back," Shi Guilin said. "The result is that our Nian Nian is a healthy baby. The doctor also said that based on various physical indicators, the little one is about one year old."

Shi Nanqi exclaimed, "Wow!" and held Nian Nian's hands in his own. "Niannian, did you hear that? You're a one-year-old baby. The youngest baby in our Shi family."

Shi Guilin also teased him: "Niannian, you are one year old now."

"Yeah." The little guy seemed to have received this important message, "Nian Nian, yi, yi...sleep."

The word "year-old" is still too difficult for Zaizai.

Everyone in the living room smiled, and in the warm atmosphere, Wang Xiulin said, "What about you, Guilin?"

"What did the doctor say about your condition?"

Shi Nanqi slowly calmed down.

Shi Guilin was the first to laugh. No one knows a child better than his mother. Wang Xiulin had a premonition when he smiled. She relaxed a lot and urged, "Go ahead."

Shi Nanqi was anxious: "Brother, stop keeping me in suspense."

"Ahem." Shi Guilin picked up Qiao and said, "The doctor said—"

"I can reduce my medication."

Immediately, everyone felt relieved.

Wang Xiulin was filled with emotion, her eyes moist. She knew exactly how serious Shi Guilin's condition was. Reducing the dosage was a sign of improvement.

She looked around and didn't know anything, just kept rubbing her father's Nian Nian. She sincerely felt that it was fate that their family met Nian Nian, the little lucky star.

The little guy is full of blessings. The Shi family is lucky to have picked up such a cute little cub.

Lunch started promptly at noon. Shi Linzhuo stayed at school for lunch, while Shi Lihan and Chen Yi ate at the company. Only Nian Nian and her friends, who didn't have jobs and had light classes, could stay home and eat.

Since arriving at the Shi family, the quality of Nian Nian's meals has improved dramatically, and she eats very deliciously.

Before lunch was over, Nian Nian's belly was so full that before she even left the table, she was already sitting in the baby chair with a spoon in her hand, nodding her head frequently and feeling drowsy.

Eat until you feel dizzy.

Shi Guilin was helpless, so he held up his little chin with one hand, wiped his face with a wet towel, and then sent Nian Nian, who was sleeping like a piglet, to the bedroom on the second floor for a nap.

I slept until four in the afternoon.

The little guy had just woken up and was taken to the living room carpet by Shi Guilin to play. Shi Nanqi also returned the little dumpling to him: "Auntie is very happy now, thank you Nian Nian."

Nian Nian looked at Shi Nanqi for a few seconds, and only after making sure that she was really not sad, did she seriously put the dumpling back into her pocket.

Shi Guilin, who was standing by, tossed a sandbag and became playful. He said like teasing a cat, "Nian Nian, watch carefully." Then he gave it a gentle push with his hand, and the sandbag rolled all over the carpet.

When Gui Lin gave an order when it was no longer needed, Nian Nian's eyes became stern, and she immediately crawled over to pick up the sandbags like a kitten catching a mouse.

Sometimes, when she crawled too fast, the dumpling would fall out of her pocket. At this time, Nian Nian would stop crawling and put the dumpling back into her pocket first before picking up the sandbag.

After playing for a while, Nian Nian remembered that he was tired this morning, so his grandmother turned on the TV for him. The exhausted little guy panted and said to Shi Guilin, "Papa, look at the birds."

"Huh? What bird? We don't have any birds at home." Poor adult Shi Guilin was absent from Nian Nian's company for only three hours, and there was already an information gap.

Wang Xiulin reminded him, "I found a cartoon for Nian Nian to watch this morning. It's called 'Forest Paradise'. There's a cooing bird in it. He likes it very much. Show it for him."

"Oh, I see. Okay, read it to us." Shi Guilin quickly turned on the TV and started playing.

Within two minutes, he was absorbed in the reading, his whole body motionless, as steady as a young monk beating a wooden fish.

Everyone was quiet in the living room, and no one made any noise to disturb Nian Nian watching TV.

So in a corner where no one noticed, Lin Zhuo sneaked into the house quietly when he came home from school, changed his shoes, and held a cream-colored thing in his hands.

He stood still for a few seconds and looked around the living room, forming a small plan in his mind.

The plan began to be implemented.

Without even putting down his schoolbag, Lin Zhuo crouched down behind the sofa, held his breath, and looked up to confirm Nian Nian's position. Then he stretched out his hands through the gap between the two sofas and put the cream-colored little guy in his hands onto the carpet.

Shi Guilin, who was sitting on the sofa, only felt a flash in his peripheral vision, and a cream-colored ball rushed behind Nian Nian who was concentrating on watching cartoons.

He looked closely and saw that it was a one-month-old golden retriever puppy.

Shi Guilin paused, then slowly turned his head and met Shi Linzhuo's eyes behind the sofa. He raised his eyebrows, tilted his chin towards Nian Nian, and asked with a serious expression: What are you doing?

Seeing that he had been discovered, Shi Linzhuo smiled ingratiatingly and quickly gestured "hush" to tell Shi Guilin not to remind Nian Nian.

It's time for Lin Yun to return.

The one-month-old golden retriever puppy is almost the same size as Nian Nian. When it arrives in an unfamiliar place, the puppy's first reaction is the familiar smell.

So, Shi Guilin and Shi Linzhuo watched as the little golden retriever sniffed from the corner of the blanket all the way to Nian Nian's back, and even began to smell the clothes Nian Nian was wearing.

Nian Nian was completely unaware of this and was so focused on the TV that she had to look up to watch that she had no idea what was happening with the little golden retriever behind her.

Shi Linzhuo and Shi Guilin were still watching.

The little golden retriever seemed to be familiar with Nian Nian's scent, and its black nose sniffed the bulging pocket from the hem of her clothes.

There was something in the pocket, and the smell on it was more complex. The little golden retriever was very interested. He put his short mouth into Nian Nian's small pocket, bit it, and took out Nian Nian's white and plump little dumpling.

However, the next second, Nian Nian, who felt itchy on her waist, lowered her head; the little golden retriever, holding dumplings in its mouth, looked up with a guilty look in his eyes; the cub and the dog stared at each other.

They could even see surprise in each other's eyes.

Nian Nian took a long time to react before she pointed at the little golden retriever and accused the thief dog with tears in her eyes:

"Woo, Jiaojiao, Nian Nian."
