Chapter 5: Nian Nian Returns to a Wealthy Family
Shi Guilin looked up at the dark ceiling, his brain trying to recall how he fell asleep.
Nothing, no clue.
He only remembered feeling exhausted. Nian Nian was very sleepy, and so was he. They both fell into bed and fell into a coma. This situation was rare for Shi Guilin, as he had been suffering from depression for a year.
Shi Guilin's thoughts drifted back to those nights filled with screams and howls. The memories seemed so painful that he subconsciously frowned, yet it was difficult to escape, like being stuck in a quagmire.
